Mary, I love Walmart grocery pickup! It IS life changing. You do have to be careful with the sizes (ounces or pounds) you choose. Also, I always mark no substitutes at checkout. Mary, I don't think the kid loading your stuff was "getting" your jokes. LOLOL!

Since I am home-bound, I have not been grocery shopping in over 2 years. My son was doing it all for me, and he was doing a great job, but having curbside pick up is a HUGE blessing for me. The first time I did it, I cried because it gave me back a sense of control. Plus it helps me stay totally on track with my budget. I have had mixed reviews with how they select my produce, and I really wish they would have a message option so I could tell them things like "please select ripe avocados" or "please select unripe tomatoes" etc. but all in all I am thrilled!

Love, Love that you showed how the WalMart pick-up grocery shopping works. I've needed to try it, lol. And the 'Hey, we've been ransacked is CF life, I think! We try to stay organized, but when life keeps you busy and you are giving treatments to a child every 4 hrs and doing home IVs, sometimes that is how it is :) My daughter went Home to Jesus almost 2 yrs ago and I'm raising my granddaughter, alone. (I've always been 'her other parent') But, at 66, raising a CF teen (she's 14) that is also short-gut, always had a feeding tube, learning to flush her port myself (Mom was a NICU nurse and did all that stuff). It's so refreshing to see you guys, living a real life, with a church family and sharing all that you do with us. You are in our prayers daily! I look forward to each vlog. My gal is also and Aspie and has a service dog. And yes, sometimes it's the little things that are life changing. Thank you!

My fiancé ordered an Ollie bundle for me. It was on back order (I assume while you were on your trip for Wesley’s adoption) he told me had ordered it and it was back ordered and it wouldn’t make it for Christmas. I had a super bad day today. He messaged me to tell me Ollie was on his way and would be here before Christmas. Ollie was a small thing that made me so happy! Thank you!!

I use Walmart grocery pickup all the time. It’s such a life saver. With my chronic illness and joint issues, it saves me from being exhausted from shopping and leaves me able to do other things. Such a great feature!

What's life changing for me is where my mental health illnesses often make me stop and not function but Mary made me realize just how beautiful life is and how it can be wonderful despite life's illnesses and woes. Thank you Mary and Peter for being a shining light in not only in my life but all of us frey life fam.

We pay $7.00 to order our groceries online and have them delivered to my kitchen counter the next day within the two hour window of my choice. #stillthrilled. Excited for you. ItsGREAT!!!!

Walmart grocery pickup saves my life. As a mom of 2 toddlers it’s just to hard to grocery shop. It’s saves so much time and actually money because I can’t impulse buy at the store.

My little boy who is currently fighting leukaemia and one year onto treatment has the chance of going to Lapland to see the real Santa on Friday with a local charity. We have the flights we have the insurance we just need his neutrophil count to be up a bit from today before the consultant will let him go. He was 0 last week and 0.6 today, re-checked on Thursday so we will know then. Praying they are over 1!! It'll be the perfect end to a pretty awful year, he knows nothing about it so it will be the biggest surprise ever :) totally life changing for him xx

I used to sing in the church choir from grades 1-5. I loved singing in church. That was years ago... I am 41 now. I was raised Catholic. My favorite mass of the year was always Christmas eve midnight mass. My Dad and I used to go. The hyms and church decorations were magical. Anyway, I have had O'come Emanuel in my head all week and have played it more than once. Lol. Yes, the little things matter most.

My humidifier is life changing this winter! Every fall/winter my asthma/anaphylactic allergies seem to change a little bit. This winter so far has been dry and chilly, and my lungs have HATED it. Pulled out the humidifier and have been sleeping with it on, and it’s a game changer! Still have asthma and anaphylactic allergies, but it’s been helping me manage my symptoms better! :)

I used to play the violin many years ago, and every time I heard violins playing, it makes me want to pick it up again. Thanks for inspiring me even more, Mary!!!

The grocery pickup is life altering! I’m going through chemo and it is awesome to not have to go in the store. It gets better the more you use it. You can just reorder items easily.

Make sure you go to the walmart site and leave a positive review for Johnathan, walmart is really bad with giving raises and looking only at complaints, so giving an employee a good review really does help esp when it comes to their work reviews to decide on their raises!

I've never shopped Walmart, never will. Well....if it was the only store for 20 miles I probably would, but I'd rather get corn chips and beef jerky from a convenience store. LOL

I just did my very first online grocery shop monday morning of this week and got it delivered tuesday before lunch time. They brought it straight into the house and unloaded it on our kitchen bench. Free delivery first time and bonus flybuys points = winner! easiest grocery shop ever. Loved it. Shopping at this time of year and trying to find a park is stressful but then you have to try and deal with the crowds and all the extra noise ( i have a severe hearing impairment plus other health issues) so online shopping was great and i can totally understand why it would be an invaluable service for you guys.

It is life changing. They actually put in a kiosk at my Walmart. It’s a trial. It’s the only one there is! You put in your code and it delivers your groceries to a door. I can now help grocery shop. I’m home bound with lupus. I love it.

I could have listened to your Christmas concert a lot longer! Beautiful!

Yes!! About a year and a half ago they started this in Huntsville AL where my son and his family live. Actually, I noticed the sign about it when we stopped on the way to their home. Well, to say the least it has been an enormous help as they have 6 small children ! Valerie can go online and order and my son can stop on his way home from work and pick it up!! PERFECT !!

I perfer grocery shopping in the store, but in Mary condition or other chronic illness I see how this can be handy.

I’m chronically ill and both my husband and I DISLIKE grocery shopping... I am typically a Target girl and boycotted Walmart a while back. But now that they are literally less than 1/4 of a mile away I can’t boycott them anymore since we use the Walmart Pick Up. I love Walmart grocery pickup !!! I use it EVERY week ...I was sketched out about letting someone else choose my meat and produce but since I've been doing it now every week for a few months the ppl know me now and they ask me how they did and I just tell them my preferences and they do a great job !! I do wish the service allowed for you to make notes or something for the person choosing your items so for example if I want large peppers for stuffing I can ask for larger ones rather than getting tiny ones or various irregular sizes etc...

We've done the online grocery shopping several times and it is AMAZING! For us, it's because we both work and don't like spending our time on the weekends grocery shopping when we could be doing other things that we enjoy. So glad it finally came to your area and you are able to do it. Btw-love watching your vlogs and have shared your story to many people and they've started watching your vlogs too. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Warning: I'm glad that you had a good experience and we did as well AT FIRST until it became Walmart's policy to charge you an amount when you check out so let's say for my family of four the charge is $150, but when we went to pick up our order they didn't have two items so our charge went down to $140. Well, instead of refunding you the $10 from the money they've already run through your bank, they re-charge you $140 which means the $150 is held for three to five BUSINESS days so it's not back into your bank until then. That means I was, on my last two occasions, charge, say in this case, $290 for $140 worth of groceries until my money went back into my account up to five BUSINESS days later. If you're strapped for cash or using this during the holidays and have monies in the bank for gifts, Walmart has just taken that extra money out and too bad for you. That's not ok and it's super bad customer service.

Good morning, Frey Family! Glad that you guys can benefit with the online grocery service. I would love something like this in Florida since I find grocery shopping challenging because I am in a wheelchair. I like grocery shopping and have found ways to pile lots on my lap with a large recycled bag that I get from Marshalls, TJ Maxx, etc. This service would be awesome for me. Please let us all know how things go with that service as more of these grocery shopping trips go by. Also, it definitely did look like you guys got ransacked. Lol! That would scare my Mom and I away. Haha! You guys look like you all are getting closer to being ready for Christmas. I am so excited to give! As someone who suffers from severe chronic pain from my scoliosis surgery, ordering groceries like that is so helpful!

this is so lovely for you!! My dog only once came with me grocery shopping. I had to go in to pickup, but it was cool so I thought the dog would be fine. No Dingo jumped INTO the back and was looking in all the bags, and found HAMBURGER MEAT! As I drove home on a busy road I kept looking back with the rear view mirror...and yelling "DINGO NO NO NO!" he was confused as to how I KNEW he was being naughty without turning my head. But he was still naughty!

I find it SO amazing that many Walmarts ( hopefully all at some point) have this service! I do not have a disability myself, but I know how hard it is for people with disabilities and health issues to shop in stores like walmart, and It makes me happy that they have this service for FREE! I think it can help many people who have disabilities or parents who have kids so that they don't get stressed out. :D

Elizabeth, (and Peter and Mary) always quickly look through your bags before you leave, they will credit mistakes right there on the spot. I learned to do this after there were a few mix ups. To find errors while you are unpacking at home, then having to fight traffic to go back to the store, go into the store and get the correct item for the exchange, then go stand in line for the returns department so she could ring up the difference or credit you the difference on the correct item. It kinda defeats the purpose of the convenience of the pick up service! Doesn't it? Yes, it does! :-D

I used to write down the notes to all the Christmas carols I played at church, for preschool students I also taught Sunday school to. As I normally played piano by ear. nice memory for me. Thanks

Got my "goodie bag" too with my first order, with $10 off. it's amazing and very useful and time saving!! Good for Walmart. I also received a gift card in one of my bags and I thought it was put in there by mistake, so I went to customer service thinking it was someone elses, and wanted to see the card balance, and they told me it wasn't activated, he he, I thought I was rich at first, too funny! Here in Spain some major supermarkets deliver to your home free of charge

I haven't had anything delivered in ages but if you do it a few days ahead and you're flexible with delivery time you can get delivery for less than $10aud here. Which is worth it when you factor petrol, car running, time and living up two flights of stairs. Downside tho that sometimes you get things really close to the usebuy and the prices sometimes differ online to in store.

Next year I'm getting myself an advent calendar. I've never had one and clearly I've missed out!

If you have too many apples you could make dried apples or apple butter, you can cook applebutter in a crockpot if you have one.

Peter, that was quite the outfit with the plaid Xmas jam pants and the shirt with a different plaid!

I have used the WM service a couple of times already and love it. Previous, I had ordered and had it delivered - but you cannot get fresh produce, frozen, etc., items by mail. I hesitated to order produce, even though I was going to pick-it up, as when I shopped in store, the produce was not always as fresh as I prefer. The produce I received on the pick-up orders has been fantastic - no complaints what-so-ever. Even was able to order sherbert and it arrived home just barely starting to get soft, even though I had made a couple of stops on the way home. I recommend the pick up service highly...

My family uses Peapod which is Stop and shop’s delivery service. It’s definitely not cheap because you have to pay for delivery and for the food but for us it’s good because our closest store is a mile away. I don’t have a car yet so with my chronic illnesses it’s really difficult to take transit there and back.

My mum is known for ordering far too many of one thing when we do our online food shop, 3kgs of porridge oats was the most recent one

That's something that I didn't understand when I went to the US two years ago (I live in France): why all these plastic bags???? I mean, the apples for example already are in a plastic bag, why put them in another one?? Why don't they use one big bag for everything, or a wooden box?...

I started using Walmart pickup a couple of months ago and it really is life-changing! Especially when it’s cold and wet.
