Yeah, this was one of the most epic fights Death Battle ever made. Also, fun fact about Balrog: His nickname “The Crazy Buffalo”, was actually based on his original name “Mike Bison.” As you can assume, it was a reference to Mike Tyson. But they had to change it (along with Vega and M. Bison’s names) because of controversy with them at the time.

This is one of my favorite and is definitely the number 1 from a pure technical standard; since the two were evenly matched, it came down to tactics, skill and experience which is rarely how these things go with Death Battle. Made this fight just fun to watch because it was legitimately even for basically the entire fight.

This is definitely one of my favorite Death Battle episodes, and I’m glad you enjoyed it as well! I agree with the outcome, and I’m glad the result actually analyzes the fighting styles of the characters, unlike a lot of later episodes where they’re focused much more on stats. Admittedly those are very important too, but I find it a lot more fun to find out that someone wins by analyzing their tactics and fighting style than by just saying “this person has bigger numbers, so they win.”

You know, between this and Yang’s death battle, they probably shouldn’t have used a character’s own theme song lol. It makes it a little obvious who wins. TJ Combo’s theme was blaring the entire fight. Though it is an awesome.

This is definitely one of my favorite matches to see done.

Hahahaha, ah man, I’m so glad we got to this one. It’s so so good. To this day it’s still the single closest match they’ve ever done, it really could go either way in a 50/50 split. Seriously, all their stats are almost totally equal. The only reason they tipped in TJ’s favor was the triangle theory, and the fact TJ held his title for longer. Really there’s plenty of reason to vote either way (and no TJ’s healing factor doesn’t apply, it’s only a minor healing factor that only kicks in over a longer time period) The next battle isn’t exactly one of my “favorites” per say, but it’s one that I’m quite attached to regardless since I am such a gigantic huge huge ninja turtles fanatic, and the Shredder is one of my all time favorite villains/characters ever.

this fight was so good, it made Balrog lose his mind. but let's not get ahead of ourselves, next match is gonna be a rip-roaring good time. :D Also, Kyle, you should watch the "A Goofy Movie" it's quite good. :D also also, i'm in Sweden, and i've basically watched all of the death battle episodes. :)

This isn’t my favorite death battle. But it is UP there. Ever since I fell in love with Punch Out I started really enjoying boxing. I can sing Muhammad Ali’s crazy song from the 70s. I think it’s called Black Superman or something. It is so stupid but I love it. I think it’s applicable to this fight. He floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee!

Weird Unrelated Fun Fact: One of my first fighting games involved Shaquille O’Neal being sent into another dimension to save the world from a mummy...

Mine too!

This was actually a clear passion project by the team, specifically one of the researchers and Animator. They both loved fighting games, especially Street Fighters and Killer Instinct, so for them to do this episode was a massive pleasure for them, and they showed it.

This is one of my favorite Death Battles. Not because of the characters or the abilities or anything… but because it’s just so fun!

As of the time I'm writing this, Balrog vs TJ is by far my favorite episode of the show. Although with my dream match up confirmed to happen this season it may finally have some competition.

As you said at the begginig,yes,riptor is a experiment of ultratech,you remeber it from the yoshi vs ripptor death batlle.

This is one of my Favorite Death Battle and it feels so Full of Adrenaline, I Agree that TJ Wins and the Song of the Fight is actually his Theme which is great for Workouts.

Y'know, now that he's finished FFVII Machinabridged, Sephiroth Vs. Vergil should probably be added to the playlist... Also, I notice Naruto Vs. Ichigo is also missing. Is he planning on reacting to Bleach? Or is it that the battle isn't available in the playlist maker's country?

He's not going to watch Naruto or bleach as a reaction because they are too long. He might watch them on his own (that's just a guess) so he dosen't want to get spoiled.

This is one of my top favorite Death Battles.

Yes, you HAVE heard of Ultra Tech before, in all the other Killer Instinct Death Battles.

TJ gotta win. 10,000 lbs is nothing compared to shockwaves from speed of punches... and speed kills.

a excellent fight, and while your reason for picking combo was something that didn't really matter, congrats on the win. also it didn't matter cause it was a minor healing factor, which means that over like, days, weeks, and months tj would recover, it wouldn't do anything here. this was one of the closest matches, but strength, experience, and the berserker mode were what really won this for tj.

Well I did think TJ was stronger

Ultra tech is the same company that made folgore (a previous death battle contestant) if I recall, and riptor as well.

This fight is amazing but the next one is even better

Yeah many of the fights you currently saw have characters from Killer Instinct. That includes Riptor, Glacius, Orchid etc. Many more will come up in future fights so listen for "Evil Walmart" and try your hardest to remember the prior characters.

easily the fairest and most accurate one to date. probably one of the most entertaining too

Watch Zangief vs Haggar. It's the 5th Death Battle episode and that was the guy you asked who he was in Balrog's analysis he punched in the chest.

This fight animation is probably the best they've ever done.

Y'know, for all the awesome spectacle fights Death Battle gives us, nothing beats a good ol' fashioned boxing match between two men who could legit kill the best real boxers in history. Makes me wish for an anime/manga boxing DB, maybe Ippo Makunouchi from Hajime No Ippo vs Joe from either MegaloBox or Ashita No Joe.

This battle is easily one of my favorites for how close yet epic it is. Plus, TJ was just epic

Every episode gets us closer to Batman Beyond vs Spiderman 2099. Those are my favorite versions of both characters

Tj combo is my go-to character in killer instinct. I love back to rise I listen to it all the time. TJ's healing factor isn't really impressive he can healing take time it's not instant like wolverine or spiderman

There is A Goofy Movie and it's REALLY good! When Disneyplus came about it is the second movie I watched on the service after...Operation: Dumbo Drop.

Yes Goofy has a movie, two actually. Though they focus more on his son Max years after the events of the Goof Troop T.V. show. Here’s the timeline as I know it. Goof Troop (Max’s Childhood) A Goofy Movie (Max’s Teen years) An Extremely Goofy Movie (Max’s College years) There’s also a Christmas special taking place after the movies but some don’t consider it canon since it replaced Max’s love interest without warning and I think it conflicts with the continuity shown in House of Mouse. I am really into lore, regardless of what the series is. 😂

The Modern Martial Artist youtube channel does detailed breakdowns of real professional fighters and some of the most famous fights, especially Golden Age boxing fights.

This is another good example of Torians animation, he is really big on fight choreography and likes jamming music in his battles, say what you will about RvB Zero but the fight animation always looks good

Just remember, balrog never had any enhancements at all. He’s truly au naturale. Tj had his healing factor, berserk state and definitely some strength enhancements.

My only issue with the analysis is them.saying Balrog is just a slugger. In the game Balrog has to charge his moves and then release to attack. By definition this means that he has great boxing defense, and that he often waits for his opponents openings.
