Not only that, humor has always been integrated into Mortal Kombat. Ed Boon and team do not take themselves seriously at all, and that's part of what makes it so fun.

Reacting to fatalities would be great, they get incredibly gory and also a lot of them are actually pretty creative

Akuma(the masters violent brother) vs shang tsung(top dog of the last big mortal kombat boss in death battle and major boss in his own right). I thought maybe you weren't doing that one on purpose for some reason like zelda vs peach but if this episode is cool then akuma vs shang tsung should be too.

10:48 Basically, a new type of finisher called “Animalities” were added in later games. Where it involves the fighters to transform into animals to finish off their opponents. Basically another type of Fatality. And for fun the game developers thought it would be funny to make Scorpion’s Animality in one of the games him transforming into a penguin that can lay eggs that would explode, blowing his opponents to bits. Yes it’s dumb, but they did it for fun in the end.

Just so you know, it's said like Ree U. Also Ryu has never used weapons before, as far as i'm concerned

It wasn't elevator music, Boomstick was comparing Scorpion to Charlie Brown because of how he was manipulated by Quan Chi. That was music from Charlie Brown's cartoon.

13:30 Fun fact: Lava and molten metals are so dense that you wouldn't sink at all in them, and so if you ever fell into them you would fry on them like a super hot pan and skim across the surface. Your death wouldn't be as quick as you'd like it to be. Also, your boiling skin would temporarily create a gas barrier that would keep you from burning up quickly.

Before the video I'm routing for Scorpion. I saw Mortal Kombat on HBO Max and it was decently good, the best part was the fights and Kano. I think you can handle the Fatality they are not that gory Duck Streak 15/16W 9L I'm keeping track, are we counting this one

I would love to see you react to fatalities, friendships, etc.

That part of Scorpion turning into a penguin is a reference to the Animalities from one of the old games, is similar to Fatality but they turn into animals. Some can be brutal like Sub Zero turning into a polar bear and slash the losing player or funny like Scorpion turning into a penguin and drop an explosive egg. Don't know why they make Scorpion Animality be a penguin instead of an actual scorpion.

Because Scorpian wasn't part of the original MK3 cast so they gave the scorpion transformation to Shiva.

@theduckgoestwo i highly recommend you to react to the fatalities AND the friendships in MK11. but in case you have a weak stomach, prepare a waste basket. :) the fatalities can be incredibly bloody and gory.

10:43 To answer your question, Scorpion is a penguin because the devs wanted to troll the fans. Also, it gives him a connection to SubZero this way. Hey at least he didn't turn into a Duck, that would be your signature fatality move. Also, reacting to fatalities would be cool to see and yes there was a recent mortal kombat movie that did come out.

Also that video of Ryu standing alone is a totally different video that came out way before Death Battle. It's still pretty epic though.

I think the skyrim thing you're thinking of would be Fus Ro Dah, which was the dragonborn's shout

Fun fact: Kirby vs. Majin Buu took so long to come out that they released the next episode (Deadpool vs. Deathstroke) early to compensate. So technically, the next battle is Deadpool vs. Deathstroke, but I don’t think anyone will blame you if you watched Kirby vs. Buu first.

Other people other than "death battle" create they own death battles

btw, from the looks of it on the screen in your intro those actually came from a more story like fan animation someone made. if you look into it I recommend.. I think it's called akuma vs chameleon.

@@theduckgoesmoo That scene with Scorpion falling down the stairs? It was prefaced by Boomstick referring to him as "The Charlie Brown of Mortal Kombat", as a reference to the old Peanuts comic. It had a decent number of TV specials going for it, which I'm guessing is where they borrowed the tune. As for the Red Baron thing, I was just thinking of Snoopy when he said that. ()^_^

Those other Thumbnails come from a different Animated Fight. Its called MK Vs SF and there's three of them. I would recommend them, especially 2.

I’m just sitting here enjoying the fight instead of analyzing today. Fatalities would be a neat thing to watch. And Death Battle every once in a while will leave out calculations they made through other lore to keep people guessing a bit more. So sometimes you may not be hearing the full story. In time they use different scales of measurement to avoid people realizing who the better player is. Which is clever. I’ll probably analyze Kirby vs Majin Buu since its a rare circumstance where I am thoroughly familiar with both characters.

I'd say yes to you watching mk fatalities. I'd specifically want you to watch mortal kombat 11 fatalities since there more gory and more violent.

The battle should have ended as soon as they got to Nether-realm and heres why: Ryu was bare foot on a very hot floor, Ryu doesn’t have some bs that makes him immune to heat unlike let’s say everyone who’s on Raiden’s good side so that he can grant them protection, Heat stroke. I rest my case

Evil Ryu is kind of burning so he may be resistant, but don’t quote me on that. Also I think Power of Nothingness Ryu would give Scorpion a tough fight down there but just wouldn’t quite take the win. Ryu vs Scorpion on the surface however, I fancy Ryu’s chances.

Really? I;ve heard it many times before. it's kind of expected when you've got two characters with similar rare abilities and one of them has no known past or parentage.

1. Don't confuse Ryu of Street Fighter with Ryu Hayabusa of Ninja Gaiden. Two totally different characters. 2. In Mortal Kombat 3, you had the option to do a Fatality, Brutality, Babality (which you can transform your opponent into a baby), Friendship (by not killing your opponent), and lastly Animality...which you can transform into an animal and kill your opponent. Scorpion becoming a penguin is...just that...becoming a penguin...with exploding eggs. Don't question it. LOL 3. Yes, react to Fatalities. Start off with Mortal Kombat 9, then X, then the new recent 11. Unless you want to react to the classics, that's also fine. Also don't forget that there are DLC characters for 9, X and 11. So more Fatalities to react to! :) 4. You are confusing Ryu's signature move "Hadoken" to Skyrim's character the Dragonborn's "FUS RO DAH". lol
