*Death Battle fun fact:* Knuckles was originally going to win this fight for being able to punch the actual moon. But unfortunately they realized Knuckles punching the robot moon wasn't as impressive as they though. So the victor was changed in the last second.

@@theduckgoesmoo Here are some problems, first being is super form scaling, where for super kong they say it would cancel out hyper knuckles... which first off even if that is remotely true the latter can last far longer depending on the amount of rings he's carrying. But first off let's say the hyper form didn't exist just the super form they would have gone with the same logic. Even worse, if Knuckles uses an invincibility box, which that's the equivalent of super kong would be from the manner of their games. We're expected to believe that Knuckles with an invincibility box power up = his own super form, let alone his hyper form? It's just faulty logic. And just yeah, aside from that, they really just used Boom Knuckles intelligence of all things for Knuckles here. They even ignored giving him his shovel claws (both in the anime but most importantly the games, which would have helped him get through DK's durable body in not only doing extra damage but also tearing off the hair they do wanted to use as a basis as what gives DK his strength from the cartoon which again shouldn't be counted but seeing as how they accounted for Boom on Knuckles reflected on canon Knuckles just seems hypocritically biased. Not even taking into account how keep in mind in the Tails vs Luigi death battle they actually showcased some of Tails moves from Sonic Battle but here they didn't give Knuckles his apparent ability to summon down meteors from his skill Meteor Crush (probably linked to his heritage/linked to the master emerald) which would have given him a ranged attack to allow more openings for close range while DK busy dealing with those raining down and neither did Knuckles use Deep Impact a skill which while slow, it's a powerful punch that it causes friction with the air to causing explosions. Tails even was able to heal in that fight from the same game, but they didn't want to give Knuckles heal, which "the user uses the power of earth spirits to heal their wounds. Although it is not effective at restoring HP." though personally rather not include heals, but again just seems odd they let Tails, but not Knuckles.

yeah~ so there is some lore in the Mario games. not a ton in a sense, but a timeline none the less and Donkey Kong's revolves around his family. just as Wiz and Boomstick said: Donkey Kong from the original arcade cabinet isn't the Donkey Kong fighting. that's his grandson. in fact, the original DK is now Cranky Kong in most games once the Country games came out. not happened to dear old son/father of the two, but that's not important.

Btw, in the Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comics, Knuckles basically became a GOD (or a demigod, whatever) of Chaos... TWICE! (THRICE if we count the alternate timeline!) If they had used either of those two forms of his from there, he would be able to win by pulling Thanos. No, really, just snap and Donkey Kong would be dust. Knuckles dusted an entire army like that, also changed timelines, hit somebody with an ISLAND, blasted entire Eggman's Egg Fleet, made cyborgs organic, and in one timeline conquered the entire world and turned everybody (including Sonic, Shadow and Eggman) into soulless puppets. HOWEVER, in their defense, they had probably not used that fearing legal consequences. The creator of those two plotlines in the comics is a MASSIVE D*** who, after being laid off, demanded from Archie that if they want to use the characters and forms he created they need to follow the plotline he established (there was a "20 years in the future" storyline showed, he wanted them to stick to it). They refused, so he sued them, and because somehow nobody could find a document saying he gives up the rights to his characters created for this comic (which they had to have), they had to stop using his characters. Which they've accomplished by various off-screen "disappearances to the 'Phantom Zone'" (or however it was called... Zone of Silence?), and then... rewrote the entire universe -_- After about 250 issues of the comics (about 20 years), the current main writer had to erase almost everything, via Eggman's Second Genesis Wave, rewrote every major plotline, lore and character's stories, which unfortunately included ENTIRE backstory of Knuckles. The history of Knuckles in that comics, the Brotherhood of Guardians, the Dark Legion, the Echidna society, origin of Floating/Angel Island, and the demigod of Chaos Enerjak... all of them were gone, those were my favorite plotlines from those comics. Oh, and Knuckles had a girlfriend echidna with cybernetics called Julie-Su. All of that was gone, because of one salty maniac. If Death Battle had tried to reference them, he could (and based on what he did to one of the greatest comic series ever probably WOULD) sue the crap of them. PS: Even if they used Knuckles from the Archie's comics without his god mode, he would probably win, not only he is even in his base form more powerful than in games and in shows, but also far smarter. Oh, and like Sonic he can tap into Chaos Emeralds to become Hyper Knuckles (basically same thing as Super Sonic), but it comes close to a god mode level so wasn't counting that anyway.

Even though Season 2 DB doesn't use the official Death Battle ruleset (which was put into place starting in Season 3) they clearly stayed away from Archie Sonic characters, because they are just too different to even be considered the same characters.

Donkey Kong’s moon Punch feat is way more impressive than any feat Knuckles has done or could scale too. Heck even if you wanna scale Hyper Knuckles to Star level Super Sonic, Donkey Kong can scale to Bowser who is Galaxy level

Okay, but in all fairness, even if you assumed both were full-sized moon actually-moving feats, how did you get it into your head that moving a moon a little back into orbit was more impressive than punching a moon into the planet? They also gave DK comparable speed feats that you unfortunately talked over. I understand your pain, but this one, my friend, was on you. EDIT: However, I must insist on something. Everyone in the comments is telling you that the next Episode is fine for spoilers. DON'T BELIEVE THEM. AVOID THE EPISODE. It's an incredible episode, but MAJORLY spoils Metal Gear Solid 2, including one of the greatest twists in video game history. Stay away from Wolverine vs. Raiden until you play Metal Gear.

HOWEVER, Kyle has made it clear that he plans on playing these games and does not want spoilers. He even skipped Snake vs. Sam for that reason. So, then, he should also skip Wolverine vs. Raiden.

Ben voice of Wiz really wanted Knuckles to win but they decided the sonic comics were not cannon. I that Knuckles has the ability rewrite reality and kill Gods.

I love it when he follows the idea of "speed kills" and fails

ok, knuckles definitly should have won, knuckles can go faster than they said and they said donkey kong was faster than he is. knuckles still isnt as powerful as DK but he is alot smarter. the sprites they used were from the classic games and knuckles is not dumb. he is just gullible. all the examples of how he is dumb is from a tv show that isnt canon and if they were gonna mention stuff that isnt cannon then they should have made him a god like in the comics.

also the OG Donkey Kong is now known as Cranky Kong. DK 2 is Donkey Kong Junior. an obscure character rarely seen. the current DK is Donkey Kong who is the grandson to Cranky Kong.

Of course DK'd kill over a single banana. Having them constantly stolen over the years has gotten him fed up, and now he's extremely territorial when it comes to them.

Yeah I really didn't like this one. They mixed traits from Sonic Boom Knuckles which is an alternate canon, they used the fact that Knuckles say "oh No" whenever you hit him in Sonic Adventure and ran with it to the point of annoyance, and the donkey kong sprite's arms are terrible.

You seem to have misread Sonic's and Knuckles's relationship: See, when Robotnik lost in Sonic 2, he landed on a place called the hidden palace zone, located on Angel Island. That's where he first met Knuckles and concocted a evil plan. He tricked Knuckles into thinking the he was innocent and that Sonic and his bff (best friend forever)Tails were bad guys that stole "his" chaos emeralds. Knuckles then went around the island after Sonic and Tails, causing trouble for them along the entire Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles since these games are connected into one story up to when he fought Sonic and Tails in the hidden palace zone.

After Knuckles was defeated, Robitnik was secretly stealing the master emerald, without it the entire island will remain stuck in the water forever. Knuckles, finally figuring out that he got played(he's not an idiot, his boom counterpart is 😒) worked together with Sonic and Tails to defeate Robotnik, which they succeeded and restored Angel Island and have been allies ever since. You're welcome 👍

Well depending on which battle you watch next. (Wolverine vs Raiden, or Hercule vs Dan) it will be interesting.

They messed up as part of the analysis on DK. He doesn't lose his power by having his hair cut. That was part of a curse that did that.

Yup, they made a Donkey Kong Country cartoon back in the 90's, when CG animation was still kinda new and ripe for abuse. Looking back on it now... well, it's pretty much cancer. It has fans who'll probably roast me for saying that, but in my view... yeah, cancer

No worries about spoilers for the wolverine death battle. His opponent's story and major stats come from a pretty far removed spinoff. Unless you've played and really know the games his story is a spinoff from, it's pretty tough to understand any of the story stuff. He's just an awesome cyborg sword fighter who might actually not get insta stomped by wolverine's healing.

Plus, the only games he has to play to not get spoiled are Metal Gear Solid 1, MGS 2 Sons of Liberty, MGS 4 Guns of the Patriots, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengence
