There is no such thing as malay language it's called Bahasa Malaysia because 30% of Bahasa Malaysia is taken from Tamil word and the rest is taken from Chinese, Tagalog, English and smattering from Thai and Arab. Malaysia is a secular nation.

We are not divided into 3 different nationalities but different (not 3) ethnicities. The main 3 Malay Chinese Indian are the biggest group and there are many other smaller group. In Sabah and Sarawak parts for example, there are more than 100 ethnic/sub ethnic group. All of us share one nationality = Malaysian.

You made me laugh Yad "never been so close to a cow before" but made me think that ofcourse not everyone lives in rural or farm land. I beg to differ. It is everybody's responsibility to be helpful and nice. When the tipping culture mature and rampant, one day they'll curse you for tipping too little...and one day they would not want to serve locals anymore because generous foreigners like you tip better. Your currency is superior no doubt.

Then Malay, followed by Chinese. Indian is a minority in this part of Malaysia but you can see some influence of the Indian culture in the city. They mostly live in the city area. Tribal people here usually lives in rural areas in protected land we call native land, passed down through generations by our ancestors. Younger generations though, are mostly working in the city and naturally buy houses away from their ancestral land but almost always travel home to their roots during their festive seasons.

No need to worry, just googled it... Surely you will find what you looking for... ;) 10 days might sufficient for few places n mostly around KL n Selangor. But depends on your style of travel too, either urban or jungle. Here's my list for you n by the way I'm Malaysia. 1. KL city centre including: a. Petronas Twin Towers b. KL Towers & Eco Rimba ( Jungle in the heart of KL ) c. Jalan Alor night market - foods n more d. Bukit Bintang area ( BBCC ) e. National museum, national mosque & art gallery f. Independence Square, Bird parks & lakes garden g. Shopping haven : The pavilion, the curve, Bandar Utama shopping centre, Bandar Sunway - Sunway pyramid, Suria KLCC n more h. Batu Caves - Hindu shrine & Chinese temple i. Genting Highland - indoor and outdoor park activities with high hill climate ( out of KL area ) j. Taman Negara Pahang - Deep Jungle activity k. Cameron Highlands - tea n strawberry n more l. Penang - food haven & beaches If you want to reach more places, 30 days might not be sufficient coz according to a travel KZreadrs, 180 days only cover half of peninsular of Malaysia. Not to say Malaysia Borneo in the east part of Malaysia ;) Anyway, I n our Malaysian citizen would love to welcome you guys in advance. ;)
