There are some new Indian restaurants that are opening up in our city and an Indian Street Food Festival that is scheduled in a few months that will be neat to try out.

If you want to try local Indian restaurants that are run by locals and cheaper, visit Ipoh or Penang. Naan and tandoori are not our local Indian cuisine. Try non vegetarian banana leaf or mamak food. You can visit Chinese food courts. SOME Chinese food courts have few Indian stalls that sell Malaysianized Indian food. The one near me sells wildboar nasi lemak. Most restaurants in Kl, Brickfields are run from Indians from India. Food is great, lots of choices, but if you want to compare, try Indian food in other states.
KL is our favourite destination in the Asia Pacific region and it's only 5.5 hours by plane as we live in Perth, Western Australia. We're heading back there in August so we'll definitely try out these places you recommended. We went to Penang quite a few years ago and found the best Indian restaurant we've ever eaten in, their garlic naan was the best I ever tasted.

You guys seem so much comfortable and more in your element than last videos with all that chaos 😅. Thanks again for sharing your lovely food trips, I always watch them every friday. Good way to start the weekend 😄
This vlog encourages me to plan my first vacation in KL Malaysia. Thank you for this great content with concise descriptions.
The best restaurants in KL are in the malls , its crazy but all the locals eat in the mall restaurants ... i was blown away from the quality at the food courts

You guys should try roti canai paired with teh tarik, one of the cheapest comfort food in Malaysia. Murtabak, roti canai with egg/meat filling is also quite good.
@Yasin_Affandi

By the way, the flaky paratha you guys had is commonly known, called roti canai in Malaysia. At the street food stalls and Indian restaurants, they are less than RM2, USD0. 40 cents a piece.

You guys probably already tasted the local Malaysian Chinese and Indian food, but have you tried the local Malay food. One of the best place to experience it, is in Kampung Baru, the last village in KL, very near KLCC. You guys can try the national dish nasi lemak or try nasi dagang, nasi kerabu etc.
Malaysia looks really nice, I love Indian cuisine and I think that food looks awesome
Going from India to Malaysia especially KL is like going from chaos to order.

You are completely wrong if you assume India as a whole country is chaotic. Not a pro Indian nationalist myself but an honest Jewish person who have visited India 6 times and got the opportunity to travel throughout the entire country from one corner to the other in detail. I know all of India. It's Deana and Phil's extreme misfortune that they visited North India which is literally the worst and most chaotic region. North India, parts of South India and East India are chaotic but the rest of the country is absolutely wonderful and pleasant. Take my word for it. Better see the other travel vlogs by western vloggers on KZread where they show Kerala, Goa, Northeast India, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Ladakh, South Indian hill stations like Ooty, Munnar and historical places in the rural parts like Hampi. I mean I have went to those places they are literally wonderful. India is a very very diverse country you can't describe it in such simple terms.
"Do not expect a donut ! " : what an amazing catch phrase useful for many situations in life ! 😃 I love all your videos ! I love you guys ! 😀💗🌼
Thank you very much! I am like you - looking for the more authentic places and so i ended up as well in TGs Bistro. With the very same result. Looking forward to more inspiration as I do often the same like in these cities: lookibg for the best authentic real food! Thanks again!
Truly Malaysia is truly Asia with melting pots of cultures n cuisines

Because they purposely shown you the dirty places of India in their videos. Many foreigners does that when they visit India, they are not the only ones. But many people show you both sides of India that is developed and underdeveloped. It is upto them we welcome both because it hardly matters.

Yay Malaysia.. yeah should be able to find something spicier here. Thanks Equator!
I just love all of those fabulous veggie mixes, the spices and the bread höhöhö. 😗🤗😋 That`s a great wrap variation, dude.
Phil looks a lot happier 💙
The mutton was a tamil dish and the vindaloo was a goan dish(Portugal fusion)
There used to be a fantastic Indian restaurant in Raleigh NC. I can't remember the name of it, but it was owned by an Indian family, and the food was fantastic. My favorites were the lamb biryani, and they did a tandoori goat that melted in your mouth.
Malaysian indians are mostly tamils from Tamil Nadu. So the food os southern indian. There are punjabi restaurants and some northerrn indian fancy restaurants
I live in SC shout out to Deana! and there a small gas station near me that has about 6 Indian dishes and their butter chicken is out of this world!

@@rureal7742 it is a small restaurant tucked in a corner of the gas station and the family is related to the owner. The place is called Dab of Ranch in Lexington ( the Red Bank area) they serve hamburgers and wings and surprisingly a few Indian dishes! I think they cook these dishes for the family and as an afterthought decided to put them on the menu-Dab of Ranch
Butter Chicken is popular in Australia too. I'm a Korma fan myself
That made me hungry, I could almost smell the food
Enjoy the food guy's There a lots more to come Have a good time 😎 Cool
The food standards in Malaysia is pretty high
I'd try the buffet at the Shangri-la, yummy yum
I love KLCC... enjoy!
Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Beef Vindaloo, and Mango Lassi. There's nothing wrong with that order and I'm not going to ask you to step too far out of your comfort zone... but would you order a Borsch at a Parisian style French Restaurant? That's the difference (geographical and cultural) between Punjab and Goa, between Butter Chicken and Vindaloo (usually Pork). KL has a huge population of Tamil-origin people. I hope you get the opportunity to try one of the Tamil banana leaf meals while you are there.
Meat spread is luxurious Dears WOW... Butter chicken is real in the Indian diners... Malay and Singapore... TANDOORI roti has more whole grain.. GARLIC Naan with more CORIANDER cilantro is more tasty and aromatic.... DO Get a THUMS up...
Sambhaar is a yellow lentil curry which is usually vegan and less spicy
Wondeful SOUTH INDIAN Food in SARAVANA BHavan.. there are lots there in MALAYSIA and LITTLE India singapore...

Just like India... without people bugging the crap out of you and honking horns everywhere!
The best indian food outside india.
dosa is addictive... Like pizza for me here.. BEST SOUTH Indian cusines are there in California, NewYork, Malaysia and Singapore..
Try the beef pepper fry mashed Casava.
Droolling......want some.
Back in the early 90's I remember seeing that we had an office in Kuala Lumpur, and I thought where the hell is that, lol. Looks very pleasant there, and I agree your last meal looked the best. Thanks Deana and Phil, enjoyed the tour.❤️👍

Oh, and Langkawi!
Since when does the Malaysian flag have only 5 pointed edges on the star and 11 stripes? FYI there are 14 pointed edges and 13 stripes on the flag. Please get it right!
😊😊
When in Malaysia eat Malaysian food. Yes, there are lots of Indians in Malaysia, but that is not the point. Malay food is fantastic.
Dosas with sauces tend to make me loose as a goose so I prefer samosas and pakoras followed by kulfi ice cream!
One butter chicken a day keeps not only the doctor away! 😊
TG's is a mamak or Indian Muslim restaurant. So yes. The Malay, North & South Indian cuisines very much overlap.
Butter chicken originally from north India.
need to get me some of that indian food
😊
The idly reminded me so much of an uncrustable 😆
So u have try the first best roti in the world at that shop

maybe the rice belongs to the dish? In Thailand rice be served to everything, it belongs to the dish.

Hii!
Lamb, mutton is expensive
this is a serious issue, if the people of Pakistan and India and China want to live long, you must form a security treaty among these countries for good like Europe
Masala Dosa is not Deep fried, it is rather roasted.
MTR 😮 expensive place 🫣 there are many good restaurants with reasonable price with same items❤ brickfield itself heaven for food❤. Also Klang . Jalan Ipoh. Batu caves. Sentul. Bangsar. Leboh Ampang. Also many Hawkers ❤. Sorry U both went to the wrong places 🙏 tandoori should be hot served. They will always have a big pot to cook fresh.
At least traffic doesn't appear to be too insane....🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤭🤭🤭🤭😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
This video you had mostly south indian dishes due a long history of SEA and south india while you roamed around mostly in north india and most restaurants in west are north indian.that is why the taste is different
Looks like someone needs to go on a diet wow
I know that wrong flag in your video still is meant to generate comments but please know it is disrespectful. The stars have their meanings and there is nationalistic/political pressure in certain states (which the stars represent) to assert their stance in the country. Please do not erase 14 districts and states of Malaysia just for KZread comments
