This is Gonna Hurt-The TransRockies Run-Part 1

The TransRockies is a 6 day stage race in the mountains of Colorado from Buena Vista to Beaver Creek. It covers 120 miles, and includes 20k feet of vertical gain. I'd never done anything like this before, and I completely underestimated how difficult it would be. YIKES!
In this episode, we start the adventure in beautiful Buena Vista and run 22 miles to Railroad Bridge. About halfway through the day, my hip flexors start giving me serous trouble. This is gonna be a long week...

Hey man I'm just NOW seeing this video after seeing someone post about it in the trail and ultra running fb community. So far your videos are the ONLY ones that feature all 6 days. Hopefully in the future I can get trained up for this event... Btw I laughed when you showed the setup of wall outlets setup in a old school outlet strip. Next to the industrial sized one, that's the most amount of outlets I've ever seen in my life!

Thanks, Ryan for sharing......when I heard you speak with the lady of any tips on the race, I was thinking about this from a friend he sends me yesterday. "I also learned a valuable lesson from an older friend who is close to 80, wise and sage 👨🏼‍🦳. He finished the run and told me about all the wildlife he had seen at the lake, swans, cygnets, marsh hens, purple swamp hens and more 🤔😮! Did I see them? No! I was so busy watching where I put my feet, trying to breathe and get to the end! 😱 I forgot to see, smell, look around, enjoy the journey🤔 Life is all about the journey, and he still reached the destination, but he was richer and more fulfilled! 😄 I was at the end, but I had missed so much along the way" 😮 Greetings from DownUnder.
