It was very easy to tell what was real and what wasn't. Not because they did a bad job, but it was easy because I've been exposed to the programs that are used to make certain special effects. Let me say that they were ALL good and looked awesome. I was just able to visually deconstruct them because I knew what to look for. If you notice in one of the videos where the walls exploded...all I asked was how he stood still, lol, but in "On", the fireballs and trees, and gates opening...you could see it...once again, it looked amazing...I was just observing, you know?

Bts didn’t go to collage together, they trained together and hence lived together. Jin and Suga even used to take the younger members to school. In Jungkook’s case, he joined the group in early 2011 hence he was 13 when he met the other members, the members dropped him off at school all the time, except for in high school because once he was in high school they had debuted and he rarely went. The members are really close and practically raised Jungkook, they make jokes about it all the time.

Jungkook joined BigHit in June 2011. J-hope signed contract in Spring 2010 (he was 1st that signed the contract), he moved to Seoul and into the BigHit dorm in December 2010 tho. RM signed the contract in May 2010. Suga signed and moved into the dorm in October 2010. So the rap line were together the longest, they are the backbone of BTS, the musical pillars- from the beginning till now they are the main songwriters and composers in the group. At first BigHit wanted to form a hip hop crew. They changed it to idol group in mid 2011 and added vocalists. Jungkook was 4th - June 2011 Jin signed in mid 2011 too, I don't remember the date atm (probably July 2011), sorry. V signed the contract and moved into the dorm in September 2011. Jimin joined as the last one in early 2012, moved into the dorms in May 2012.

I think it is the use of the word dorm that is probably making him think that. In the US when students live at college campus it is referred to as dorms that & like private boarding schools are really the most common uses for dorms. Entertainment agencies are quite different here they don’t provide housing or training they are more or less a glorified temp agency with connections that help actors, models, etc. find auditions for jobs.

They didn't go to college together. The bunk beds are from their shared apartment because they didn't have the money to afford a bigger place. As for makeup Everyone in both western and eastern entertainment wears make up. Every action heroes in a movie have make up on, news anchors have makeup on. Its entertainment culture not just Korean culture.

M - so far I've only seen them using lipbalm when they're not on stage, going on vacation, or even at the airport. They only wear make up for performance, interviews and shows. skin care products and make up products are different types of beauty products. So I think they buy skin care products, not make up.

mercaramer Jungkook was seen purchasing makeup. There was even a clip of them at home/hotel where he says he didn’t wear makeup that day. Tae asks him if he wears makeup and Jungkook says yes. Jimin even tells their makeup artists how he likes his eyeshadow to be done and picks shades that are more out there rather than natural and easily undetectable. All of the boys are strong advocates for wearing whatever you want regardless of your gender.

This video of you reacting was very interesting to watch. You know, it showed a lot about you as a person. You are very knowledge curious, you also know things because you have been exposed to art of other cultures and are very open. You are good with understanding video content, so for you definately some of BTS work will be mind blowing (you need to watch also behind the scenes of video making, I advise as the next MV "Fake love", to which you had a reaction here). About make up - yes, as artists they do wear makeup as was Prince, MJ and many 80's rock bands. BTS has been ridiculed for wearing make-up, but honestly nobody cares. They have so much fashion and trendy looks that you cannot keep up and just admire their fashion sense. BTS audience is very diverse and most of fans are in the age between 25-40 years (there are some stats). ARMY, which is fandom's name is very protective of BTS, because they had made it against all odds. And the last thing- your dog is the representation of you. You have a great love for animals and it is just a big "yes" for me.

i like how open minded you were about men wearing make up. you were just curious if it was a cultural thing and even remarked how if it was their (bts') thing, then it's cool with you. make up has no gender, and you were very cool about it, even more so than some who vehemently insist it 's only a performance thing, as if men wearing makeup for any other reason is bad. but yes bts MOSTLY wear intricate makeup on stage, in videos and in photo shoots. i've seen them occasionally wear minimal makeup, and i've seen them barefaced, they always look great. thanks for continuing to share your journey to learn about bts with us. i enjoyed the reaction. sorry for the odd rant but gender norms and those who enforce them piss me off

"It's hard to get the whole story arc if you don't listen to the whole album" Bruh we armys (bts' fandom name) watched and listened to all their musics/vids and we still don't know the whole story😄😄

They didn't go to college together. K-Pop music industry is different than music industry from other countries. Every year companies hold auditions for singers, rappers or dancers looking for new talent. If you make it, you sign as trainee. The companies usually look for kids as young as nine or 10 as their trainees. Most K-Pop groups go through long years of training periods before debuting, the shortest amount of training time that i know is 3 months and longest is 7 or 10 years. Thats why the most ideal age would be 9-13 years old because they have to training for years. Jungkook (the youngest in BTS) joined the group when he was 13 years old. Training is like boot camp. The trainees, who live together in company-provided dorms with no guarantee that they will actually ever make their professional debut. They practice up to 12/16 hours a day and take classes in singing, dancing, rap or even acting. They are also taught foreign languages - English, Japanese, Chinese to prepare them for K-Pop’s biggest international markets. Most kpop groups live with each other from before their debut until well after it so as to form stronger relationships. If they live separately and only see each other during performances, that wouldn’t help with their bonding. It is easier for company to manage them. They’re gonna spend a lot of time together. Of course as a group, they’ll be going to interviews, performances, TV show appearances, and such together. It would be a huge hassle to have to pick each member up from their own home or meet up somewhere, especially with groups with a lot of members. There are members who are not from Seoul (the capital city of korea) as well. Where else will they live if not in a dorm? However, after a while when they have earned enough money, a lot of them move out of the dorms and get their own places, or split up a little bit. They do this either due to age, privacy, or the need to be independent. BTS famously owns a number of expensive personal residences. However the 7 of them still chooses to live with each other. Their bond is truly amazing!!

Doggo is cute but not very big compared to mine lol. Mine has to listen to BTS all the time in the car so im pretty sure he knows all the songs now. Shadow and Ego were what we all thought the next albums would be called but they tricked us it is called 7 and two of the tracks are called Shadow Intor and Ego Outro. When the fans are singing to them is Wembley stadium in the UK they sold it out for 2 night in 90 minutes and still had over 250,000 people in the queue trying to get tickets.

Everyone does it for views...even me. I'd be lying if I said I didn't...but it's from another angle. These comments and views let me know that you guys are enjoying my reactions as much as I enjoy watching reaction vids. Raw human emotion being expressed as someone experiences a new "thing" is just like...being bonded with someone on more than just a physical level...it's addicting...sounds weird but it's true

A couple of them aare neat freaks and they made the others keep things tidy. They all still live together but in a large apartment in one of the best parts of Seoul. Luis Fonzi was at the top for a short while because of the song Despacito. Japan is the lit area on top of the right side and the only reason you dont see China lit up is as they dont have twitter or youtube they use different sides such as weibo etc. So the views are by country but its out of kilter a bit as its not done by per capita so countries like Australia and New Zealand dont show so much but actually have better views to person ratios. they actually did a song with Halsey and performed it at the Billboard Awards. Dont worry we are used to the view. Your doing fine and its hard to take it all in watching these videos. Google the BTS alternate universe and it will tell you where the storyline starts and where it ends. The first song is I need you +19 version. Its a long list lol. Those stats about albums dont include the latest album which sold over 4 million in pre orders so that all counts as first week sales. Yes they wear make up its a K-pop thing. Sometimes if they are appearing on camera such as V Live or Run episodes they wear make up but in normal day to day they dont and ive noticed they dont stress about it so much anymore. If you watch the Bon Voyage series later you will get to see how they are in normal life. I believe including their Japanese albums they have 16 albums ( could be wrong). So the fake love MV it was all real there is a MV about the making of the MV.

They don't live together all the time, only during schedules.

The makeup is just for the camera, performences, ect. they get styled by stylists who also do their makeup but they usually don't wear makeup.

Male makeup is much more common among artists in Korea. Men are shown in makeup ads as well. In general, most guys on the street don't wear makeup, usually only male actors/singers, but also if a guy on the street were to wear makeup it's not frowned upon or "weird" like it is considered in the west. BTS actually wears more natural makeup than some other male kpop artists, who wear full colored eyeshadow lip tint etc. So yes it's culturally accepted for them to wear it

They use CGI all the time, what do you mean? In Fake Love there was surprisingly almost none, (it was still used in some scenes) but in ON and most of their other MVs they do use CGI More accurately, they aren’t afraid to use dangerous props (such as fire) and those are real as often as safely possible

@@cade2369 I wouldn't say "all the time." They actually don't use CGI that often and they more utilize practical and mechanical effects (SFX) in their MVs. More often, rather than just make fully computer generated images (CGI), they'll use special visual effects by manipulating live footages and enhancing images that they actually shot (VFX). This may use CGI (like with some parts of Boy with Luv, Intro: Persona, and Interlude: Shadow) but is not just CGI by itself. I'd say big uses of CGI are more rare for their MVs (Idol, DNA, ON, Outro: Ego are those that are big CGI MVs). If you check out the filming videos, you'll find that most of the stuff that seem CGI are real and more likely to be SFX. It's actually more surprising to see them use pure CGI than it is to not. Just to clarify, I'm not arguing that they don't use CGI, just that their use of it is more rarely done than one would think from seeing their MVs. If I hadn't seen the filming videos or the pictures of them building the sets, I wouldn't have believed a lot of it was real either.

The lead singer to their band is extremely creative. I've been following him since he started out in Escape The Fate...he's a big time "self improvement" artist and he's been through hell and back. Gotta respect it. His latest releases have been his best work yet and as much as I wanna listen to his newer stuff, I'm just waiting for his new stuff to have music videos so I can jump on the reactions. Appreciate having a fellow Falling in Reverse fan watching though!

Consider them wearing makeup as stage makeup in theater. They wear it for vids, photoshoots, interviews, and concerts. Not for their off-camera lives. Behind the scenes vids will show them barefaced. Xceleste has the best vid on the storyline. Watching all the vids in order will have you watching each a dozen times and finding a hundred different possible meanings. As a makeup lover I'll answer your questions about the style and makeup! Blood Sweat and Tears was definitely a makeup and style heavy era simply for the visuals. Typically, makeup is worn by many types of people in korea this includes men. Usually, its on the more natural side but since its *usually* not looked down upon you will find some more out there looks and styles. Korean culture centers quite heavily on looks and visuals and finds lipsticks and foundations to be common on men. Anyway, while BTS does wear makeup on stage and in music videos, nowadays they dont really wear much outside of their work. They do live videos and other content where you can tell they're barefaced. Either way they kill it and we love both sides of their visuals!

Since you seem to enjoy gfx type things I suggest watching the music videos for blood sweat and tears, mic drop, dna, and idol. An interesting fact is that a lot of the "gfx" type things that show up in their videos are actually real. Like in the ON video the animals standing in front of "Noah's arc" are real, the explosions in the mic drop music video are real, in Not Today they actually constructed a huge mirror on a mountain to dance on, and in their Fire music video they drop a real car from a few story height. If you're interested in how they make these stunning videos come to life, they have behind the scenes videos for most of their music videos. It's incredible to see it in the making (and it's funny seeing BTS's reaction to a car getting dropped in front of them)!

You pointed at texas saying it was florida🤭 and the area where you thought it was korea was south east asia like the Philippines and Thailand. Korea was farther up. Also, jhope is known to be the cleanest and Luis fonsi is the guy that sang despacito. Yes, kpop is huge it's been around since the 90s, there are a lot of groups. Some groups dont even make it, as in after sometime if they're not popular enough and dont pull through, their company eventually disbands the group. My point is there are so many groups that debut every year so the competition is so high to get noticed

I loved how you talk about them living together in the past. They all have multi million dollar homes but they all live in the dorms together. When you do the who's who vids remember they do birthdays differently over there so when they talk about JK being 15 or 16 he is really 1 1/2 younger but the way we so years. The bunk beds were not collage JK was in what we would call middle school. They really grew up together and most were pretty far from their families so they truly made a family of their own. And not the way American groups say we are family then break up. But they are a true family they love, fight, and support each other

Dude you know you are way down deep in the rabbit hole now right? There are so many incredible songs, mv's and extras you have yet to discover. My personal faves are the Bon Voyage and summer and winter packages. Enjoy the journey, they really are a very special and exceptional band. I am 48 and so very grateful I have discovered them and get to experience all of this with such incredible fans. Yes they wear makeup for MV's and stage perf, like all singers round the world do. Everyone in the world who is involved in entertainment does. I mean, newsreaders, both male and female, wear makeup. Prince wore makeup. In their private life, they don't wear makeup.

I will provide a short summary so if you do want to try to figure it out on your own you can skip this but I do advise you don't do that because this storyline is highly complicated. Summary The BTS storyline is based on a book called Demian by Herman Hesse. (Reading this book is not necessary because it is only loosely based on it). Demian explores the struggles of growing up and having to discover who you are while choosing between a life of darkness or light. In the BTS storyline the members play close friends. Throughout the storyline you will see the members start to fall into different forms of addiction and abuse. From the beginning to the first set of short films BTS will act out these characters in real life. In other words the character will be played in the real world. From Blood Sweat and Tears to ON the storyline becomes more metaphorical and you will see BTS doing things like kissing statues of the devil (making deals with the devil) or drinking absinthe to represent them giving into their bad habits and darkness. This may seem weird but stay with me here. Jin's character can time travel. Knowing this will save you a lot of confusion. There is a short comic on webtoon that explains that Jin is trying to save his friends but it seems that no matter what he does and how many times he does it his friends will forever be lost. The overall idea of this storyline is to speak upon addiction, abuse, and mental illness within the world and how young people are very naive and can be easily manipulated into these bad situations. The storyline tries its best to realistically show the characters fall in and out of their struggles but never give up.
