he should definitely react to the storyline explained video (kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zoynj7myqqXFqso.html) after watching the songs in order Also, just adding, the melody and lyrics usually have their own meaning, linking to the album as well, whereas the music videos follow the overall theme of the song but all together tell their own story, so the meaning of the songs and the Bangtan Universe (the fictional storyline from I Need U and onwards) are different things even though sometimes they can collide It's hella complicated but that's what made it fascinating

About the current Map of the soul series: The dark turn which was mentioned in this crash course already happened (after this video was created) It's about the last release which happened last month. The album name is "Map of the soul: 7" BTS mentioned in an interview that they had to delay the album release. Thats why their original album plan got messed up. Like ARMY guessed, originally the next album was suppose to be "Shadow" and after that it was suppose to be "Ego". The album name is different now, but they still used "Shadow" and "Ego" as comeback trailer (two songs on the album). Normally the comeback trailer are also the intro of the album. In this special case the album is a combination orginally planned "Map of the soul" series. Intro: Persona (RM's solo, which we already knew as the intro of the album "Map of the soul: Persona") Interlude: Shadow (SUGA's solo) Outro: EGO (JHope's solo) So the fan theories were kinda right. xD

The "dark turn" is actually released already. MAP OF THE SOUL:7 with ON as its lead track. And Shadow and Ego turned out to be song titles from this album.

The new Album is called Map of the soul: 7 And there is actually a song called *shadow*

I was at Wembley day2 which was in 2019 and when they sang forever young, it’s a moment I would never forget..I cried during the whole of it it was an amazing moment 😓💕

I had only been a fan for about 2 months before Wembley and only decided to go 2 weeks before the dates. I went on the Sunday and was there for Young Forever but I didn't know the full significance. Now I understand it and I can't listen to Young Forever without crying and remembering how powerful that moment was and how I was part of it.

My irl ARMY friend actually got to experience the Young Forever Sing-Along, and she told me it felt like the world outside the stadium didnt exist, it was just her, ARMY and BTS. She said she would never ever forget the type of emotion she felt, to be honest I wouldnt either, lmaooo.

The one on the zip line was Jungkook and he was performing his solo song Euphoria in the concert.

If you listen to “Ddaeng” ,make sure you watch the explanation. You can do it in the same video,it’s not that long. This song is so special and show how genius RM is. “First love” from Suga is also a masterpiece.

Map of the Soul series 1. Persona As fans speculated thinking it was going to be ‘shadow’, but as we all know now it’s called “Map of the Soul: 7” where they combined shadow and ego into this album instead. They name the album ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ since it’s their 7th year anniversary and also give meaning to them having 7 members. So hence, 7! :)

I was THERE in WEMBLEY 1 and 2 June of 2019 wearing my Forever Young BTS T-shirt and i have to tell you that my emotions were overwhelming, while we (60.000 people) were singing "FOREVER YOUNG" to them. Even now, when i am watching videos from that concerts, i cry from happiness. I just want to say that gender, nationality, sex and age doesn't mean anything when you love someone or something that gives you strength and love you back, and in those difficult times, BTS are giving us so much strength and hope. About the albums, Map of The Soul: Persona was about the happy side and the new album they just released (21 feb 2020) is named Map of The Soul: 7. Originally it was going to be 2 albums, one named Shadow and one named Ego just as the fans thought but they combined them into one.

I was there at that Wembley concert! 😭 💔 We were all crying as soon as we saw how they started to react when they realised we were singing to them, and when they sang with us. Poor JK was crouched on the floor at the end full-on sobbing! He was so overwhelmed with emotion. The love and support between BTS and their ARMY is amazing. 💜

I was at Wembley 2019 day one, and that clip at the end makes me cry every time, I cant even imagine how much I would have been bawling had I been there on the second night singing young forever. Loved this reaction, a lot of the clips you hadn't seen were the solo songs! I'm excited to see your reaction to those!

The new album is out already and they combined the "Shadow" and "Ego" theme together which was supposed to be two different albums. You should react to "Map of the Soul : 7 " Songs. You have listened to On and Black Swan already. Their are more group songs, solo songs and unit songs.

Jungkook was the one crying at the Grammys. Jin doesn’t let us see him cry much. Jungkook is super in touch with his emotions. According to the members and himself, he’s the most likely to cry when watching a movie. He’s their baby :(( 💜 Edit: This video is outdated now, because their next album is out. They were originally going to have an album named Shadow and an album named Ego, however, due to various circumstances that us fans aren’t privy to know about, they ended up delaying the release of shadow and instead combined it with ego to create the album that we have now: Map of The Soul: 7. Fan theories are an integral part of ARMY. Since BTS integrates a lot of philosophical, psychological, and mythological content as well as their fictional storyline and blends them together, analyzing BTS works and theorizing what’s next is natural. Plus, BigHit always, ALWAYS puts hints and references into everything that BTS does, from their concert and award show VCRs (clips specifically for concerts to allow members to change clothes or get into position), to the screens that aid BTS performances. It’s a constant game of cat and mouse between BigHit and ARMY as we try to figure out what’s a hint and what isn’t (almost everything is a hint we have discovered), and BigHit finds new ways to sneak a reference past our eyes only for us to discover that it was a hint a year (or years) later. The Wembley stadium concerts were in 2019.

And yes we did think that their recent album will be called shadow. Since the previous one is called "map of the soul: persona." Map of the soul is a book by Carl Jung that talks about different parts of humans' personality which is divided into persona, shadow and ego. Now since their previous album was called persona, we thought that this one will be called shadow and the next one ego. But BTS in an interview said that they merged two albums in this one and called it map of the soul : 7. (7 representing the no. of members and the no. of years since their debut.) Although the storyline of map of the soul still continues in this one as two of their songs in this album are called shadow and ego. I hope that makes it clear :)

This video was made before Map of the soul: 7 was released. In the current album, the theories were correct where the shadow and the ego was combined. It took the dark turn and ended with acceptance courage to conquer their shadows.

I honestly love your reactions and how you truly like them and respect them as artist and because of that I haven’t seen a lot of people react to their MAMA performance for 2019 and I would honestly LOVE to see you react to it and the whole performance is basically their old songs and performance and are using that platform to finally fully perform their older songs because back then their performances were cut and shortened so a lot of people say that performance was their way of finally being able to fully perform their old songs
