Congrats on a year & 3 weeks of sobriety, Zack! That's not easy, but so worth it! I'm proud of you! 😇😊

Thank you so much!
i reccomend "the feel again, stay" live from texas. Its about losing his daughter in his marriage breaking up when he was addicted to drugs and alcohol
Blue October is a fantastic band and have been a fan for many, many years (they've been around since 1995). Just caught their live show at The Van Buren this past Saturday evening (11/11/23) in downtown Phoenix. They absolutely killed it at the show - amazing concert.
Dang. New subscriber here and you ABSOLUTELY “get it”!! This is in my humble opinion one of the best lyricist EVER!!! 💙
Justin is so raw and open with everything he's been through in a relatable way. Blue October is my therapy 💙
I have to say that Blue October is the real deal. The emotions are there in every song. The proof of their talent is how amazing they are in concert. It is a shame they stay under the radar.

BTW, this is the best breakdown from a reaction I have heard for this song. You nailed it.
Blue October is a phenomenal band & Justin Furstenfeld is a poet... this is a very inspirational, worthy rabbit 🐇 hole 🕳 to go down! #BlueOctober
Respect. Great reaction and all the best for you. What you said about kids. Every kid can be glad to have you as a parent.
Great reaction and break down of the song. I believe you would like Blue October and their live performances are usually better than their videos. They are on tour now, if near you they are definitely worth checking out live! Few of my faves are Bleed Out (acoustic version where Justin the lead singer tells you why he wrote the song, and Ryan the multi instrumentalist plays the keys and violin). Others are from their Live Texas 2015 show "Light You Up, "Debris", "Sway", pretty much anything from that show.
It's Blue October because he was in a psych hospital in October. Hence, he was "blue." He is a phenomenal underrated artist.
Absolutely love this band and if you continue to listen you'll become a huge fan!!
You get it, brother. Loved the reaction
Check out “Feel Again (Stay)” acoustic version. ❤
Has been my favorite band for sooooo many years
Anything live from Texas is amazing, criminally underrated band
One of my fav bands ❤ next Hate Me live version, Blue October is definitely a place to visit while waiting for new Ren 😁
Loved the reaction. You hit the nail on the head. Justin does suffer from depression and anxiety he also was an addict 11 years sober now. There live performances are incredible I would suggest Hate Me and The Worry List
Congrats on the year sobriety! Like I said on IG Blue October were my favourite band for years I just don’t listen to them anymore but they are a great band. Justin went through addiction, losing custody of his oldest daughter, divorce x 2. Pretty much all his music is about him and his life. This probably wasn’t the best introduction to them but still good. If you were to have heard any it probably would have been Hate Me as that was on the radio etc way back. Anyway great reaction as usual 🖤
With this song. The studio version is as good, but also different. It has probably a more uplifting vibe . And the video is great. If you liked this you definitely need to check it out. Also if you decide to go down the Blue October rabbit hole. Check out Hate Me, Feel Again live version, Light You Up live version, and The Worry List!
I love some Blue! Justin writes all his music like that! It's all from his experience and from the heart. Definitely check out his other music!

Also I'll add, I'm a recovered addict as well and his music has helped me a lot. Congratulations on your sobriety!
Please do more Blue.
Should check out Bleed Out live was un the same studio session
October 29, 1997 was the day he went into a drug/mental facility.. It was a very blue October for Justin♥️ The song HRSA is a good one where he speaks about it. Among others.
Justin Furstenfeld sings his emotions better than anyone else in a genre he calls Reality Rock. This is a solo performance but the band (which has been around since 1995) is amazing. The early catalogue is heavily inspired by his first divorce and loss of custody of his daughter "Blue". He had years of addiction and has been sober for about 10 years. Many of his songs are about dealing with addiction, missing and loving his child, regaining access and overcoming addiction. Some recommendations are "The Feel Again/Stay" from the Live in Texas concert. A lesser played song that I think is amazing is "Angels in Everything" (official video). For a harder song try "Light You Up" official video/live performance. Newer stuff is less influenced by this turmoil and to really know him and the band start with the older stuff. You won't be disappointed.
Thanks for doing that for me. I'm glad you enjoyed it. (David is my ex)

Oh... Sorry- It's the name that showed up.. I appreciate the recc. Happy to do it!
His tone reminds me of Neil Young.
Great reaction ❤😊
Congrats on the 1 year.
I can't believe I missed your reaction to this - one of my all time favorite songs. Blue October is so slept on. They're still touring and still amazing live. I haven't listened to the latest album yet because I disliked the single released. I should do it because album after album have been great, despite evolving styles. Justin's pen is impressive. What you were saying about less-is-more echoes the video I literally just watched, "Troy (live)" by Sinéad O'Connor. I loved the studio version so much, I was a little afraid what her and just a guitar would sound like, but it was just as, if not more, compelling. She is so good at emoting - just like Justin and Ren. "Troy" if you're curious kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y6CKlJODZ5jcdqg.html
Please look up Justins Bee story.
If you liked this one you should listen to Light You Up from them. If you don't do it, you should still listen to it. Thanks for all the great reactions you do!
