Wow... Blue October brings me back to 2006. I loved them. Need to get back into them. Thank you.

So the part I really relate to is Zack talking about how you can hear a song a hundred times and even sing along to it without registering what the song is about. Too true! Addiction is complicated, you really want to be supportive but you can't make someone fix themselves. If you are push, they will just avoid you.

So glad you did this (& it popped up) because I missed your "Fear" reaction. Blue October has so many gems and so few know their music. Their live performances just get better and better over time, so feel free to listen to live over studio, especially the 10th anniversary concert "Live from Texas" (also a documentary). Besides Hate Me, which everyone heard at the time, I discovered them through "18th Floor Balcony," which is a love song. Just saying that while a lot of their stuff can be heavy and insightful, they have lighter stuff too.

Sadly this song mirrors too much my relationship with my son. It's fucking heartbreaking.

Justin wrote this about an ex girlfriend. The video points you in the direction of his mother (who is very much alive). Justin has mental health issues like many of us. He’s gotten himself very fit and healthy physically. I would continue to check out their music. I like the following besides this one I Hope You’re Happy King I’m Not Broken Anymore 18th Floor Balcony Bleed Out Oh My, My (the slowed down version with their families in the video) Fun fact, the drummer and limo driver is Justin’s brother Jeremy and this is there real mom in the video
