Can you do a guitar workout video focusing on every techniques Van Halen uses with typical Van Halen licks ? That would be soooo cool 🔥i know that you r maybe more of a metal head than an oldscool hardrock fan but i love your guitar workout videos and it would really help me in my journey to be able to play Van Halen songs 😂

exercise 1 is great but i like a modified version better. play the same thing but mute the other 3 strings and strum all 4 strings. doing this gives you much better feedback as to how well your controlling the non fretting fingers and will make you more aware of what your mistake tendencies are.

I need exercises to "unstick" pinky finger from ring finger. I can play fast, somewhat, by my pinky finger feels too stiff even after years of practicing. Especially when playing on multiple strings, like going from high E string to B string with my pinky finger, it feels like everything i learned goes to trash and my pinky just goes flying

Bernth! Your picking technique. I know you arent hitting the string at a direct parrallel angle. How much are you slanting?

Try playing a tremolo picking riff and then figure out how much you need to slant so that the pick just slides across and doesn't get caught on the strings

Would it be possible to include MIDI with your patreon files (going forward)? Maybe I'm a minority but I've spent thousands on my daw and related software and would be great if I could just dump midi files in there with some of the guitar emulators I have vs buying guitar pro software. Unless there's a way to convert GP files to MIDI without having to use the software itself?

Play is slow and methodically, analyze your technique. Playing slow and perfectly will allow you to play much faster

What tuning do you play most in and do you recommend Drop D at times ? What tunings do you recommend? I’m just stuck in between the two and back to E standard cause I know I need some work before engaging into more tunings. But I did try your spider exercise and it was harder than I thought need to watch these vids over and over. Thank you Bernth ❤

@@catastrophic82 I think, you´ve rather meant standard E? Open E is an open chord tuning, in this case EBEG#BE, which is an E-major chord... Sorry...😅
