Aerials do take some flexibility, strength, and posture to get it right! I’m a dancer and an aerial took me a while to get, but I trained and I got the hang of it. Just keep practicing! U always impress me with how u train urself

dude it's impressive to watch you teach yourself my aunt was an olympic gymnast during her 20s and my early childhood and I have been going to her for acrobatic training so for you to not have that resource and just draw this knowledge from within is pretty awesome man truly I wasn't able to do much of anything and still am not as good as I'd like to be with help bro so who cares what others think in the end the best thing is that you have a quality of life that allows you to document your journey and explore the levels of body and mind awareness to execute these movements at all and to have fun of course happy to be apart of the notification squad man keep up the good work

The fuck are you talking about, these videos are manufactured tutorials, this guy is pretty accomplished with his acrobatics and gymnastics.
I think you need to work on flexibility a bit - especially hip flexors and hamstrings. Straight legs, especially in a straddle, make it significantly easier to cut through the air.

I feel much better about doing flips, I started and felt like I was going nowhere. But after watching I realize you just practice and get better over time. So complex yet so simple!
YOUR VIDEOS ARE SO GOOD! Keep up the amazing flips and content!!
I think the problem is the right leg, instead of kicking you are contracting it, you are not getting enough height so you are forced to land like that. And you are leaving you arms straight, not building momentum, so you are only using your left leg to do ALL the move. I think if you correct that you are going to be doing Aerials for days (sorry for my english)

Yo Lucas, you are doing great buddy, you'll get it soon, you're the man! Just try and focus on keeping your legs straight, don't bend them too much cause you lose a lot of power that way. It really is a relatively easy trick once you start to understand it, and it's fun to play around with in combos and stuff. Flexibility helped me a lot on this one, i learned mine from a b-kick, and once i got the tricking aerial, it was even easier to do it from a hurdle and straight forward like gymnasts do. So maybe try that one too, it's a pretty cool move. Anyways, keep up the great work, you are amazing! Best wishes from Serbia! :)

I learned the aerial using the B-Kick as a starting point... Than you fuse ot with a cartwheel with one hand and BAM: a few days o practice and you get an aerial clearer than your cartwheel
I can totally relate on the groin injury because I developed the same thing from trying to throw round kicks higher than I was ready for. If you started to feel it getting irritated again after that session I would seriously get it checked out, especially if it has been a while since the initial injury happenes and it is still coming up. I didn't think much of my injury at first and it got so much worse because I was overenthusiastic and would try train moves through the injury. Now I'm having to do rehabilitation work to strengthen the area again - which sucks xD I guess what I'm trying to say is that strength conditioning and flexibility/mobility training can go a long way. I just don't want to see you fall into the same hole of hurting an area and then avoiding certain moves until it "feels better" and have to dig yourself out through tedious rehab like I currently am. Love the videos dude. Your channel has helped and inspired me so much in my tricking journey \m/
You did really good.......good job.your really good
I really like that flip. Thanks for learning it.
It took me like 3 years to learn an aerial!!

Brianna Joyce Did it
You usually need a running start when beginning Aerials
From my recollection of doing these 45 years ago...I have zero pop in my legs (bad news for a serious gymnast), but was able to achieve it with a strong hurdle, great flexibility, driving that lead leg super hard, and throwing my arms down (which becomes up as your head approaches the knee of the popping leg) like crazy. The fear of landing on your head while your arms are up in the air drives that kicking leg around faster than anything else. My flexibility saved my neck, although many times I could barely thrust my landing leg down before my head touched (stretch those hammies!). The objective was an unbent fast cartwheel. You lack that of flexibility, but your vertical pop in your legs will more than compensate. Just unfold ad let it rip. You have got this! I'd love to do another one, but don't have medical insurance at the moment, haha! Keep up the great work!! Love your drive!
I’ve been asking you to do this video for so long thanks.
Tks soo much you help me with my back handsprings
Thanks,fantastic and interesting practice!!^^
Even though this wasnt a tutorial, it was for me! I have seen so many videos on aerial tutorials and they are all some much diffferent from how you are training .. im gonna try to do what you do !🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂

You did a great job I’m a competitive cheer leader and it took me a week or two to get my aerial and to see you get the shape or Mind set of one in under 30 minuets is amazing just straighten you legs and look we’re you landing when you do it and kick faster ad you will go over faster and more elegant.👌👌😁😁
i've been tryint to do the aerial I can't yet damn. thank you fir showing us how you did it
Looking awesome. Form is for gold medals, this is fun!💪
Awesome video
thank you so much you teach me how to do it now I can do it
Hey least you did better than me How long did it actually take you?
it took me years to learn my aerial and i finally got it on trampoline but i’m working on it on floor/ spring floor.
Been working on this on and off for a while (I feel like I had it and hurt my lower back trying to go harder with me legs). I like revisiting this video with a couple others when I get stuck.
Nice job
I feel you bro
I love the gramer
Good idea
Just a tip that helped me I don't treat it like a cart wheel I treat it like a b kick without the dip so u take a step back and Ariel instead of b kick. And also it helps me to just do a round house kick into it just for momentum
one thing that would help a lot is how you get into your aerial... you want to jump higher so hurdle and when you put you leg down you want to use all the power had just created from your hurdle and push off that leg and take your other leg and throw it over your body as your body is being pushed towards you leg that was on the ground (the leg you hurdled with) and you really want to use you arms you can take your arms above your head and then when you go into your aerial you want to shove them by your sides this will create more momentum to get your aerial. Hope this helps! :)
Straighten your knees! And point your toes! Try going at it from a gymnastics type cartwheel, not sideways, and if you have the room, try running into it. Then halfway through the cartwheel lift your hands up off the ground. Keep doing that until you don't need your hands anymore. Put your hands up right before you cartwheel/Arial, and tuck them in fast to help get momentum.
And yes you did it very well I am a self taught gymnast and you did awesome for your first try
How can it be so easy for you to do Oh yeah YOU'RE FOCUSING
I've learned so many flips because of this dude.
Something that could help is to use your arms more. You want to hurdle into it and when you first leg touches the ground flick your back leg to the sky and you want to pull your arms up. The position you are going to hit is like a bird with your chest up arms back and one leg up. The back leg is what carries you over and your arms give you height so you don’t hit the ground. Also try it running first before standing. Having good flexibility will really help with keeping your legs straight. I hope this helps ☺️❤️
You got this down pretty good and honestly I think part of the bad form issue is cause you're slightly worried about hitting the ceiling, so it distracts you but I'm sure if you go to a nice open space you'll nail it if you haven't already.
Also , a way to get straight legs during a aerial (said my gymnast friend) is having a strong core and getting your middle splits down .
Omg that’s actually really good
As a gymnast, side aerials have been a huge struggle for me and you make it look so easy! Good form or not.
A tip is to try to stay straight up and straighten your legs. It really helped me when I did it off of a mat or a ledge. It took me a week to get my ariel
I think your used to different momentems from other flips so to change it try to Tuck your arms in and try some dive cartwheels and cartwheel pops they really helped me to learn An aerial
YOU JUST GOT TO FOCUS
It's all about moving your legs VERY fast. And there is two ways to place your hands most popular being straight behind your back, but, you can also hold your hands against your chest kinda like how the mummies do it
can you please remember to add the "but you gotta focus"! that's the best part about you.

I’ve lost my aerial on the ground, but I still have it on trampoline! Hoping to get it back
Increasing your hip flexibility, or just flexibility in general will defiantly help you straitened out those legs which ultimately makes it easier to Ariel.
U have to do a hurdal than a aerial so then it can lift u up higher and keep ur legs staright
U did it not that bad good job
I hav been trying to get my aerial for sooo long. Then yesterday I was at a friend house and I tried it and I literally landed it o was so happy!!
1:53 is exactly how I learned my Ariel! Good start! *YOU DID IT DURING THIS VIDEO.* Just needed to let you know that. 4:21 is also a good way to learn your Ariel.
Your upper body is too crouched and bent over. Look at a video of you doing a cartwheel with straight arms and straight legs. The Ariel should look EXACTLY like that but your hands shouldn’t touch the ground. Try doing it with a hurdle at first. When you do it, throw your arms really hard down and pull them behind you. If you notice your hands touching the ground out of “fear” or you just can’t overcome it. Hold two small object in your hands. Then it will prevent your palms from being able to catch yourself

You do know he is doing the tricking aerial not the gymnastics aerial meaning it wouldn't look like the a cartwheel but just a really inverted butterfly kick
@sydnieb9469
6 жыл бұрын
The Legendary Gamer yes I’m aware of this but he was saying it looked bad/sloppy so I figured he wanted it to look closer to a gymnastics type Ariel
@parkourandfreerunning4214
6 жыл бұрын
Sydnie B well that's true I guess your right
I like that he first do the butterfly kick then he is going down and down to the ariel (sorry for my english im not good at it )
I learned this flip by accident when I did a butterfly kick too high! I'd approach it that way as it will be easier on your groin with straight legs than by approaching from cartwheel... It looks like you are keeping your legs bent, to protect the groin. Kind of a cool side flip bent leg aerial thing though!
First u try some dive cartwheels Then some pop cartwheels Then some pop dive cartwheels Then after that u practice some hurdles on the wall with arms up then u can try to attempt the aerial
Pushing your head on the bean bag is going to make you want to put your head on the ground when you are doing the arial. Try to start off running and doing a one handed cartwheel. It will help.😁
Good bro😉
You are watching Kyle (Epic, not PZ)? I'm impressed, gj! Good luck in future tricks)
A for effort. I found out I'm bad at them when I realized a full split is essential to a pretty ariel. I could muscle em out tho
I can only do one on trampoline because I cant get the height of the floor so you are extremely impressive.
Well I mean like I just learned how to cartwheel like 4 days ago and I tried i one handed cartwheel and I did it on like the 300th try so the aerial is like my biggest goal for this kind of stuff
as someone who has their side aerial, you need to think of it more as a cartwheel without hands instead of a side flip. you should land facing where you came from instead of the front and make sure you’re always looking down. no hate, this is so good and it took me like 6 months to get a side aerial so the fact that you did it this quickly is amazing. hopefully this helps! :)
Yes you done it wow I can do it on the trampoline but no on ground
To get more power you do a hurdle and and Kinda quickly slam you arms backwards and keep your leg as strait as you can
@koalalover1233
5 жыл бұрын
Ah my gramer I'm in grade six I should know how to spell
ok push very hard off your leg as you go into a cartwheel *after* you do a strong hurdle, then you can try dive cartwheels and pop cartwheels, the key is to scoop under your body with your legs (easier with flexibility) :)
So driving your left hand down in driving your left leg up in the air is going to give you that nice rotation
Hey you should drive your left hand all the way through in order to get good height in the air so you can focus on your form and you have more time to see the ground and land correctly the Ariel is an aggressive move which which you found out by yourself but you need to be a little more aggressive when you drive your left hand down going into a Ariel
I have my aerial, and all you need to do is you landing. Overall good job 👏
When I do an Ariel I treat it more as a butterfly kick than a no handed cartwheel because when you think no handed cartwheel you usually won't focus on getting the kick,if you have a decent b-kick just try to throw your legs up more straighter/over your head and instead of looking to the side/behind you like a normal b-kick look to the ground and your Ariel should feel exactly like a b-kick but to each their own, just my thoughts and how i learned to Ariel *>*
i’m an allstar cheerleader and an aerial was so hard to get bc i’m a power tumbler and not that flexible so it was pretty hard to get my legs down in time without breaking a leg
Hey I tried getting an aerial for a year and then I sprained my knee so this is impressive! An aerial is the only thing I can't do lol
I think it would be muchhhh easier for you if you started with a hurdle/ run
It took me a 4 months to get my aerial and front aerial but that was like 2 years ago now I’m on level 10 and everything is just so easy . I’m in gymnastics and an aerial takes flexibility, and strength. You have the strength just stretch your middle and front splits for about 6 months and your back. If you want to do an aerial you have to run and gain power and after you get that then you can start a standing aerial
Try a hurdle before attemping it. It gets you higher and more momentum.
I don't know if you have it yet, but here's some advice from a gymnast! It will be a lot easier to get your form better if you start with a cartwheel rather then started with a side flip. Don't pike too much, keep your hips open. Try your best to be vertical, like how you should be in a cartwheel! And for the last one when you said "Was that it?", it was better, but not quite. You can see your hips start to pike in the middle of the skill, which basically makes it a side flip.
Same with me when I was 9 years old my brother tought me how to do a Ariel and and then i finally did it.
You need to make your leg straighter and try to go to a higher ground and jump from there and also aerials requires flexibility so i think you should work on those
You gotta run into it. And also try doing pick ups. A pick up is where you do a carwheel but right after you touch the ground you pick your hands up. And also it would help if you keep your legs strait during a cartwheel and especially a aerial
@GinoTricks
5 жыл бұрын
hahah he is a tricker not a gymnast you dont need to run into it at all the tricking aerial is different to your gymnast aerial
I like to think of it as a butterfly kick but lower and straighter
I think you need to focus more on your one handed kartwheel until its perfect and then work your speed and agression from there. Just a suggestion tho I dont know how to do the aerial too
I have my Ariel it’s the one thing I can do my advice for you is focus on straightening you torso and less the Ariel will be faster easier and the landing will be better so try to straighten out your torso so plssss make another Ariel video cause soon you will have it! Love you
1 simple tip. Use a hook kick to go into the aerial and it will be much easier , faster and cleaner.
You learn so quick! I have been attempting my Ariel for weeks and weeks now and I still don’t have it :(
@msvelociraptors

@Emma_LearnsFlips likee kinda, i mean sometimes
Looks like your already doing it. I've been trying it for the last 3 days and my issue is that I can't land on it yet
What you can do to help you is take a couch cushion and hurdle with one foot on the mat and the other off the mat then do an Ariel from there. It’s a whole lot easier....
I tried this the other day after doing a pretty good one handed cartwheel. Fell right on my butt
I've got my one-handed cartwheel down, so I can practise my aerial on grass, which I usually do, and if I start to fall and know I wont make it, I'll recover by putting my hand down
thank u very much i got my aeriel tanks thank vert much u are tha best !!!!!!!!!!!!! haha your pop pillow is funny i have one tu but its rainbow
