    I had an old, old, old patient teach me about Vaseline. She looked 60 but was in her 80s. Vaseline was her secret. She used vaseline as her moisturizer in the evening. No wrinkles. She didn’t do this huge amount, just a thin layer as a light face cream. People frown on vaseline because it’s petroleum derived, but it’s non-comedogenic and doesn’t feed bacteria like plant oils. It’s better for your skin if your acne prone, especially fungal acne which feeds and multiplies off of oils and sebum. You just want to use a really good cleanser each day to throughly cleanse the skin the next morning. I use bioderma atoderm cleanser. Love you Wayne. You look great btw.💜

    Beware to my Milia people: If Vaseline is too heavy and clogs your pores, try using a Lil dab of dry oil under your eyes. I even use a Lil bit over my concealer and powder too, no more creasing. @@fredacharbel7510 I wonder why the Vaseline would irritate your eyes because there are ophthalmic ointments (antibiotics, steroids) that are administered in a petrolatum base because it’s totally inert and does nothing. Are you buying a Vaseline with something in it? Like I actually prefer the one with cocoa butter but that could potentially be irritating. Try to put it around the eyes but not right on the eyelids. Good luck. (Cerave is safe but if you don’t like the Vaseline the cerave will probably be worse).

    I just commented and then glanced down and saw your comment about CeraVe Healing Ointment. I’ve been using it for a couple of years, on advice from my dermatologist, and I agree with you 100%! I also apply this a couple of hours before I actually get to bed and have had no issues with it getting on my pillows. I also use it on my cheeks where I have redness due to rosacea. I’ll be 54 in a couple of weeks and the other day a woman (who turned out to be 35) thought I was her age! I don’t think I look quite that young but people often think I’m much younger. I buy the really large tubes and it lasts for ages. My 17 year old daughter has eczema and her hands are so awful especially in the winter with cracking and bleeding. The healing ointment is one of 2 products she can use that doesn’t burn and actually helps. I wish I had some before and after pics.

    Loved this 😊! part two of this tip is super important, as too much congestion can lead to irritation or milia (Also known as the random bumps that may sort of send me crazy lol). Best tip to remain consistent is choose two days. Either the two days in prep for the weekend, the weekend in prep for the week, or as a mini prep for both by applying on the night before both (typically Thursday and Sunday). Seeing benefits in skincare is all about consistency, and Wayne Goss style in true to form consistency is that “less is more” 🌼😊🌼

    Is there a way to get rid of those random bumps?

  • @lunar686

    @lunar686

    Жыл бұрын

    @@laura_sotomayor milia are like small keratin cysts, so fastest way to remove them would be at a dermatologist office via laser or extraction. AHAs and retinoids help exfoliate and break them down, tretanoin clears mine pretty quick, but because I only occasionally get one or two near my eye, I’ll use a cotton stick to only apply a small bit on it

    Does this not make baggy eyes even worse?

  • @lunar686

    @lunar686

    10 ай бұрын

    @@collettchaney120 depends what you mean by ‘baggy’? Loose skin, discolouration, puffiness, or maybe allergies or a combination? The skin around the eye is only about a quarter of the thickness of the skin on the larger areas of your face, so it is always better to treat it more delicately. there is a period of adjustment with products like tretinoin, which is essentially designed to speed up skin cell turnover, that will enhance skin sensitivity, it doesn’t last forever and generally has positive effects on all the other concerns that may cause a baggy appearance to the eye area. But...nothing works if you don’t protect the area with sunscreen. Sunlight is pretty dam good at causing all the problems we associate with baggy eyes
