Every once in a while, my heart yearns for a good vada pav. And so when I hear of one, I lose no time in seeking it out. And so it was in this context that I found myself at Puneri Vade, a tiny nook in the wall near HSR layout where I met a shy but friendly young couple, Akshay and Ruchika Shinde, who moved from Pune to Bengaluru a couple of years ago to introduce the vada pav, bhajjis, poha and misal of their city to Bengaluru. I tasted some of their fare, and suffice to say, if like me, you love your vada pav, Puneri Vade is certainly a place to make note of.

ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಗೊರಿಲ್ಲಾ! बहुसंख्य कन्नडिग मराठी चांगले बोलतात. समस्या अशी आहे की महाराष्ट्रातील लोक या दोन राज्यांचा इतिहास विसरले आहेत. नटरंग, साहित्य आणि संगीत. Most do not even realise that Onam belongs to Kerala and not Karnataka.

You must definitely not from Karnataka because inspite of political differences kannadiga and Marathi culture overlap peacefully and are very rich cultures which a semi literate North Indian like u will never understand
It's not about Marathi, Kannada, Telugu or Tamil. It's about budding entrepreneurs who has taken risk to start up their own restaurant. Food unites everyone. So gotta appreciate whosoever if they're making some quality food!

He literally lived there man. Many Telugu/Tamil/Marathi guys speak kannada extremely well here in Bengaluru due to living here for long.

What I loved was the innocence and genuineness of these people! Thank you Kripal Sir for showing us yet another humble eatery! reminds me of the vada pav I had at Shree Datta Snacks, Mumbai Outer 😋Happy eating!!
This is why I love Krupal sir, I keep saying this everytime! He honestly love and respect every culture. He tastes everything and shares his thoughts about it to the world. Kripal is so amazing. The passion he has for the food, it's history, it's story and in particular the people..... it is very moving. I should not say this as I will be hounded off the internet...and Kripal clearly has his own style.....but I am getting very much Anthony Bourdain (RIP) vibes off of him. Hearing him describe the experience of eating the food instantly transports me to my childhood. Where we would travel by scooter to Pune from Khopoli. On the way stop at Lonavala and have a piping hot vada pav...in the rain..life affirming memories coming back after watching this video. Thank you for producing this fantastic content and sharing it with the world.

I'm a regular customer at this outlet. Have been visiting it regularly from last 2 years.
I am staying 100 km from Bangalore. But I will make trip to Shindes hotel to taste misal pav, my favourite dish
You can literally feel the simpleness from both of them i m sure shinde couple are good people from heart.
The absolute best in Bangalore. Small, humble business! I miss this place!

In 90s,I am at mumbai vashi to asist my brother in law for his construction works at chembur Hb company..! That days, so many times I eat vadapav..! Its really fantastic alternative food for regular lunch..! But..that fried chilli..I can't take this any time..! Without chilli I enjoyed every vadapav..! So..thank you so much krupal sir for reminding my Mumbai days..!

first time hearing you speak Marathi. wow.
One major difference between the vada pavs in Mumbai and other places in Maharashtra is in Mumbai, they add the sweet and green chutneys to the vadapav whereas in other areas of Maharashtra, they only put the garlic powder chutney.

They do limited items but they excel in what they do. Their vadapav, misal pav completely standout. None of the eateries who claim to serve maharashtrian snacks in the nearby locations come even an inch closer to them with respect to taste nd value

Kripalji, it's very difficult to find Maharashtrian Tastes in Bengaluru. When I was there Two years ago my craving for Maharashtrian Culinary & so need to settled on Medu Vada, Dosa or other South Indian Dishes. But now I will surely visit this Food Joint. ❤❤❤❤❤
Kripal sir sadly maskaa @ Koramangala, which you had covered and they made excellent Vada pav has closed temporarily. Owner informed us that they are relocating. Hopefully they re-open soon. Will try this place for sure
