    Don't know anything about Swords I do have some knives that are close to the size of swords but love watching your presentation and content. Happy to see you're liking the smooth criminal. Nice looking I will keep enjoying yours if I got into Katana I'd be in trouble. I know what I spend on knives I can just imagine what this would cost not to mention the addition I'd have to build on my house to put them all. Great Vid ✌

    Well the hamon is not possible because it's a spring steel TH blade but rather have a clean blade then a fake etched Hamon that some companies do on TH blades, nice color motif, yes the fittings are not too bad...Thanks for your support Nick

    @@JoeSteel1 right. That’s why I’ve never been interested is spring steels. Aesthetics are too important fir my superficial ass. But I gotta say, the aesthetics of the koshirae on this sword are on point! Love the saya! Congrats on the success of the channel. I’ve been with you from the start. In fact, I’ve purchased 4 JKOO katana since you launched your first JKOO reviews, so you’re personally responsible for me becoming a sword addict! But I don’t mind! Lol.

    I'm working with them on an updated USD560 katana that will be their O-katana offering, 33" nagasa and 14" tsuka. Main difference from the USD560 is it will have much less of a tachi sori so you can do noto with it. They are working on their polishing as they are having some difficulty with polishing tool steel which is to be expected. Company is in Taiwan, blades are Vietnam, and final assembly is China.

    Byzer/Cloudhammer saw this comment and wanted to chime in and say their default is sharp, but that they can easily do razor sharp if the customer requests it.

  • @joske2838
    @joske2838 Жыл бұрын

    sweet I'd be happy with that! very nicely themed, the one plus i always take from TH blades is that I don't stress much about scratching them up a little when sharpening / running them through work shap guides etc. (obviously try not to still) but with my few cosmetic polish sino's I always go to the effort of putting tape on the blade and flattening out air pockets with an ATM card if running them through the WorkSharp lol never used a stone. that's cool they gave you one though I'd probably make a right mess of it using one on a katana :)

  • @JoeSteel1

    Great comments, normally don't like too flashy but this fits the motif and them nicely, prefer DH but TH blades are more forgiving to cut with and Sharpen and yes I will be using a Ken onion with a blade grind attachment. I also have some cosmetic polish jkoo that im carefull with, thanks for watching

    Excellent video. Much better than mine. I like the one mekugi as well. That steel is very well done and perfect for someone learning to cut. As a smaller guy, i dig the lightweight they have. Definitely different than your run of the mill company. Different steels, different forge. John is a pleasure to work with, and im very much looking forward tonseeing what Byzer provides him. Dude. That's crazy. I was just going to suggest to the both of you to get together on a livestream or for an interview. Blade geometry, not architecture. Lol. That always bugs the crap out of me when you say that. Hahahaha.

    You can take it apart if you know how if there is any indication on the nakago or tang probably in Chinese, if your on Instagram you can send me pics to look at, what did you pay, it may be a hanwei, 30 years ago, it's hard to say but they have been around for about that long or ronin or Musashi brand?...or you may have an authentic Nihanto in your hands...lol
