This Cheat Code Gets You A Tiguan R Immediately (Volkswagen Tiguan R Grid Edition 2023 Review)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Full review of the 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan R Grid Edition sports SUV, including the 235kW (315 hp) engine, handling, ride quality, interior, price and features.
Volkswagen actually has good stock of the Tiguan R Grid Edition. There are 300 special editions on their way to Australia but this limited edition model will actually continue for a bit longer even after all 300 are sold. But there is also good stock coming in to Australia of the full-fat 2023 Tiguan R which has leather and more premium features.
But the Grid Edition is a good value buy at $63,990 before on-road costs.

The matrix headlights are worth having if you do lots if intercity work or live rural. The width and height increases vs pevious versions are good let alone the matrix black box coolness too. Kodiaq VRS isn't as quick, but is worth comparing too.

@@chasingcars The more I look at these reviews, and the features that have been taken out due to semi condictors shortages, the more I appreciate my 2020 Octavia RS wagon. Still keeping up with the new stuff as far as features go, and with a couple of thousand spent on a stage 1 tune, it can nearly keep up with them too. Just wish they made a AWD version!

No way. I wouldn't even consider a car in that price segment with cloth trim and missing key safety aids. Zero chance. And when I see normal R's going for 95 grand, they can keep them too. Somehow my Ateca, even with less power and fully loaded spec wise, is faster and cheaper than both of them (66750 driveaway). I nailed 4.77 seconds the other day. Tiguan is always 5 or over. Unless you are like me with a bad back and REALLY need the raised ride height of something like a Tiguan/Ateca etc, I would recommend you right now to get the Formentor instead. It has all of 7KW less tune in the same EA888 engine, but is at least 0.5 of a second faster in all real world acceleration tests, and despite lack of rear torque diff, still handles brilliantly due to Cupra tuning. Not to mention 15 adaptive damper settings. Furthermore, there is a shipment of cars coming soon for 68990 driveaway in very unique colours exclusive to Cupra including some wicked matt colours. Full fat spec wise, plush modern leather interior whereas Tiguan very dated inside. Also, REAL buttons on steering wheel but sadly has the touch capacitive BS climate control. If you really want to drift a high riding SUV, then I guess for that price the Tiguan is the only option, but really that's all you'd be buying it for rather than the better looking with way nicer interior Formentor. The Formentor has the rear torque differential in the 5 cylinder in Europe and they'll be bringing it to the 4 cylinder variants before long anyway. I find the Tiguan R and T-Roc R to be extremely uncompelling cars. That said, if you can get past the hideous looks, I find the Golf R to be the most compelling out of the three. Still, again, even with lack of the rear torque split diff like the Golf R, I'd choose an S3 cause it just looks good outside and the interior is on another level by comparison. I can't talk interiors with my Ateca as it's quite bland inside besides the blue leather (however the outside in black is just stunning), but I needed easy entry and exit plus the driving position is insanely good for my 6ft4 height. Otherwise I would be in a Formentor right now. Still, it drives brilliantly and I'd even consider adding the Ateca to your list over a grid edition Tiguan R.

My 2017 scirocco r has a higher quality interior just no digital cockpit. Those plastics look very cheap and scratchy

Lapiz blue! That said, I thought the deep black on the T-Roc R Grid Edition looked great (deep black is swapped for dolphin grey on the Tiguan R Grid)

I don’t know how anyone owns a vag product without using an obdeleven to kill the stop start, door chimes as as you mention the fake shit sound. Had a golf r and lots of Audi stuff and it’s better then most for beeps and fake stuff but it’s way better all turned off and made to taste of ownership. Also Tom congrats on the growth of the channel, the hustle must be real! Some of your camera work and foggy mountains stuff makes me wish you did a music chill version with all though outtakes. Thanks for the effort and content your a bd sell out but it’s well balanced 🫰

These new ones are a bit more tricky to play with on OBD than the last lot. Locked down a bit harder.
