I've been wondering how the water slide worked out? It looked good when dry... but did it hold up in the rain❤???

I love that Carlo is doing things when the wife is gone. He's putting his own stamp on the house and he's being creative all on his own. LOVE IT - keep it up Carlo!!!! The porch turned out amazing. The chairs..I would paint the wood and change the covers and add pillows. This is a perfect lesson to all of us that we need to let go of control and let others flourish in their own way vs our way.

It's Carlos first house that is really his, same for Nicki? The house in Positano, I think is owned by his family? The low wall turns the covered terrace into a beautiful, cozy surround. It looks like it was there forever. Nicki, maybe just a little controlling? Ya theenk? Just redo the cushions, maybe refinish the wood? So gratifying for Carlo, he can get things done without the old lady trying to boss him around.

I have to say @NickiPositano I am very impressed by the viewer engagement on this video. Quite the hornet’s nest and a very clever way to get the viewers commenting and communicating. True, it has come at your expense, however I appreciate your courage at sharing your lives so openly and honestly. There are countless perfectly curated and overly positive KZread videos which often show only the highlights reel of a life but your lives in these videos are documented in ways many long lasting couples can relate to. We’re all capable of each and every trait and while positive comments have gone Carlo’s way I have no doubt the sweetest and softest part of Nicki is reserved for him, not to people please viewers. Dig deeper people, there’s a reason it works and let’s not be so judgemental that we end up losing this unique window into a life well lived.

The new wall with the flowers around the veranda looks like it has always been there. It really elevates the look of the whole house. Carlo, you did a great job!

When he started talking about it I thought it would be nice with a front wall & a back wall of blocks to plant flowers in between. My idea would have been twice the price & his looks way better than mine would have looked! (Good thing Carlo did it without asking my opinion🤗) Carlo has Great ideas and the knowhow to do the work but best of all the determination to finish👍the job!!!

I am so impressed with Carlo's handyman skills. He has so much talent. That porch/patio look so much better with the wall around it. I love how the house is coming together.

I am one of those women who is “lucky” to be married to a “Carlo”. I hear all the time how I’m lucky. We don’t know what goes on behind the scenes between them and with their wider families. I notice that Carlo has replied to a couple of them, disagreeing with their viewpoints.

You two crack me up. When the cat's away the mice will play. When Carlos leaves the handrail disappears, and when Nicky's away the patio furniture appears. I think used and refurbished outdoor furniture is ideal because no matter what you spend, the weather always degrades it and it has to be replaced. This way you don't have to spend a fortune every time. I think with a coat of outdoor paint, maybe a sage green and a lighter color green cushion, you could add throw pillows with splashes of terra cotta and green and you will have a lovely, cozy, outdoor space. That little housewares store you visited had some great ideas. Love your videos. Caio for now.

I agree with the soft green outdoor paint on the furniture and something for the cushions that will be weather worthy and dog safe. Add colour with toss cushions. The red cushions are not right but they will do, better than the blue.

The decision to place a small wall around the porch is inspired! Well done! It looks like it’s always been there.

The dynamics of a couple are unique to them. Obviously, Nicki and Carlo have been together for many years, and they will be together and in love for a thousand more. How they interact works for them, and not only, how they interact is the mechanism that makes them as a couple/a family flourish and grow and be successful AND happy 360 degrees. If you don't like how they are, leave and go work on your own problems. As far as I'm concerned, Nicki and Carlo are both fabulous and complement each other perfectly. They make each other better people. I'm here for it! 💖💖💖💖💖

Some of us truly marvel at his good nature and hard work, but would also be horrified by that 1960's chunky wood furniture!!! :D :D :D Would you REALLY love it if your S.O. brought home furniture that you two had more than once decide NOT to buy? haha! I doubt it! She isn't mad of course, but it's now one more thing to do. AND if I had been looking forward to finding the perfect item for that spot and now I had that stuff instead (lol) , I'd be disappointed that I didn't get to spend my money on the nice things and also that I missed picking out something together.

So many opinions on their relationship and interactions. They have been together for 20 yrs , We only see part of their life, part of their communications. part of their conversations about plans, feelings etc etc. The comment section is out of hand. Both Nicki and Carlo have many wonderful aspects to them. There is genuine love between them. I'm sure these comments aren't just hurting Nicki, I'm sure they are also hurting Carlo because he loves Nicki and there is so much judgement happening. And only they know how much they have been dealing with in real life.

I agree, I know this house is Nicki's project as the other house was Carlos' families - but for something like a outdoor setting (at a bargain price!) i wouldn't be too critical of his choice. paint it a nice fun colour like the green they used elsewhere and let it go. He is such a good man, and so kind.

I’m sure Nicki is not “mad” at all…just joking a bit about things that got done or purchased differently than they BOTH agreed. There is this phenomenon that other women try to remind you of how wonderful your husband is, almost shaking a finger at you to pay attention before they snatch him up, when you know perfectly well he’s a gem and you do appreciate him. My husband and I owned a business together. We could both be working equally hard and other women would “coo” over him constantly and talk about all that he did, and overlook my equal contributions. Carlo is wonderful, but the truth is they are an equal and wonderful TEAM. ❤❤

I agree with Carlo, the small wall will give it more “Curb Appeal”, if you will. I like the fact that you walk right onto the front patio/porch without any steps…the mini wall, flowers & color look beautiful!

I have great appreciation for Carlo's skills. he can do so many things. If it weren't for him, the remuneration costs for contractors for the same work would be huge.

After reading so many comments in here and watching the video...its a no brainer, Nicki is clearly a control freak...I understand some would say you shouldnt judge or take this personal but there are so many comments in her videos, some subtle and some very blunt...We as viewers also have the right to assume or even judge because remember when you post an edited version we see what is edited and chosen by Nicki ...So Nicki you should let go and let Carlo design and use his own imagination...Even if its not what you want...i see and hear a lot of "i i i " in your videos especially when you feel and think you're loosing control over a situation, you've said it in your video/s...I also hear a lot less "us or we" ..Unfortunately as a long time subscriber and your viewer i sadly have to judge based on what ive been watching for a long long time...

No, don’t waste valuable time and money bc it’s always going to be a sow’s ear …… it’s wrong, wrong, wrong . Plastic heavy looking granny wood w no redeeming features whatsoever . Unfair of Carlo to do this after they passed on buying it twice already . Passive aggressive and hardly in the spirit of fair play to pull a stunt like that . Guess the junk shop was delighted to get rid of it after all this time 😅

Carlo has a great heart full of goodness. It seems to me that he wants to make a contribution and he makes many many amazing ones. One can disagree with appreciation and kindness and/or a sense of humor not to hurt someone's feelings or with a little self-deprecation.

The transformation of the patio was phenomenal and looks incredible. The patio furniture looks wonderfully comfortable and sturdy. Maybe an ash color stain. I would applaud him for what he has done. He did it all with love.

Don't leave the wood alone! It needs UV & rain protection. Personally I like the dark wood but maybe not the shiny. The cushions need water resistant fabric though

plastic looking wood . It was left unsold in the junk shop for months and months for a very good reason . Def not a bargain if u have to spend time & money painting , weather proofing and re-upholstering . Italian design can be either exquisite & tasteful or bog standard ugly and this one is def the latter .

My late hubby was just like Carlo. He could build a home from the foundation to the roof. I miss him so much. Count your blessings Nicki!!!

He is NOT her husband! She wrecked his marriage to Tomaso's mother, he never divorce and she has been shacking up with him all this time, which is why she NEVER has said she been "married" to him for x amount of years - she ALWAYS saids, "we've been together..."

Wow...there are some really strong comments here. Overall, I wish some of your viewers would employ a little more humor and a lot less judgment in their assessments; especially regarding your relationship. As married partners, I assume you both recognize each others strengths and weaknesses.I actually find it refreshing that you both are so "real" on screen, when so many feel they have to put on a facade. It's not unusual for couples to delegate and divide overall aesthetic design vs. other types of contributions when renovating a home. With both of your efforts, the house is really becoming very charming. The porch wall is a stroke of genius! Looking forward to next week's video!

I think it's incredible how Carlo is capable of so many good and different ideas. He's the kind of man you know you can count on to see any kind of work through to the end. What you did to the house while Nicki was away was great.

You are so fortunate to have Carlo who can do so many things and he does have an eye for decorating and designing. The furniture he bought I rather like, its vintage and if you change the cushions first then see how you like it, you might just add some outdoor throw pillows to give it a little more rather than painting the beautiful dark wood, which I find actually goes well with the wall color - which you mentioned you will be painting the house a shade lighter than. Don't be disturbed by Carlo doing things without you, we don't always need to be in control, but embrace that he actually has an eye and vision that can melt in with yours.

Once the cushions are reupholstered they will be beautiful. My parents have that set in their porch and it’s so comfy. My mom chose a beautiful floral fabric and you focus on the pattern of the fabric and don’t notice the wood color. Add gorgeous pillows and a pretty throw and it will be perfect.

Love your house in Tuscany and Carlo's dog station is really good. I discovered your channel when you met Julie The amazing Viscountess. Your blog today made me slightly homesick for UK as I lived 50 years in Kingston, and the week ends we used to go and eat in the White Horse in Shere and also other Surrey villages. I now live in France. The chairs need a coat of paint, maybe a lovely sage green, new covers and cushjons. Good buy at this price. Well done !

I would paint the furniture and re-upholster the cushions. It will look fab 🎉

yes -- paint the furniture sage green (like the trim on that little shop in shear Uk, ) and put on some cream colored or floral pillows ... you need some cream and beige or creamy green in that mixture of wood and ahem, pink fabric and paint

Reading these comments today, thru Nicki's ( and even Carlo's eyes) is making me sad. Imagine having ur channel and ev1 is praising ur partner and berating you??? She's filming, editing, shopping for a new home, renovating, painting, being a mommy to 3, a lover to Carlo, cooking, cleaning, exposing a part of her life to THE PEANUT GALLERY😂 It can't be easy!!! We all know Carlo LOVES Nicki! A LOT!!!! So he's not going to be thrilled about mean comments either, even if those comments paint him as the Adonis and she as medusa or whatever. He loves her so much these comments hurt him too. I dont know Nicki but I GET her. She reminds me of me in some way which is what attracted me to the channel in the first place Let's be kind She doesnt always show Carlo in a bad light, so all we see for the most part is him being the GOAT. Obviously like longterm relationships where 2 ppl love each other, u will have fights or ppl who are comfortable being honest with their likes/dislikes The camera rolling makes ppl act slightly different also. My 2 cents is getting very long tho I, as an empath, could say more about the sense I get, suffice it to say Nicki and Carlo, you are loved May God strengthen your bond, may you enjoy your lives wherever u are, whatever u do. Your videos over the years have done a lot to brighten our days and awaken the adventurer in a lot of us. Love on each other like it's 1999!!!!!!🤗❤❤❤❤ Love from Philadelphia🌻

Carlo, you did a fabulous job with building the wall, and creating the new flower beds. Bravo!

Too funny about the seating Carlo got. When Carlo showed off that seating set, first thing I thought was how I didn’t think that went along with style you were shooting for. Lol! You’ll make it work! I do love the new entry wall! What a change it makes. More like a dedicated entrance. Love the dog washing station too!

15:53 While visiting my sister in Sonora ,California we found Carlo's couch set at Habitat For Humanity! We had just watched the episode so we had a laugh when we saw it. Same upholstery . Carlo got a deal, they wanted $125. For couch and $65. For each chair. I enjoy your vlog so much!

You are over worrying over nothing…let Carlo add his touch to his home!!! Just paint it white and cover the cushions…

The patio furniture that Carlo bought can be painted red or peach colour and will look wonderful, it weathered and should last more than you think, plus they are comfortable pieces, the new entrance that Carlo built makes the house look amazing, how lucky to have someone that can build anything…❤

The terrace looks amazing and the furniture is not ugly. Very classic! Maybe a coat of olive color paint and nice cushions. Carlo is so proud. He’s amazing.

I LOVE the wall Carlo built. It’s perfect for the veranda. It makes the house look more like a Tuscan home.
