Never forget Is the Best for me, the lead guitar of that song Is extremly fun, but in the case of band playing the Best is ir I could be a constellation, very groovy and a lot of bass-drums work while the guitar play fast arpeggios and Funky chords in contratempo

It's kinda crazy they made the 36 string bass from Davie as a reference to the manga. I wouldn't be surprised if Davie himself becomes a reference and appears in the manga if it's possible.

It's extremely difficult to animate guitar playing imo because hands are one of the hardest things to draw. And the more you have to move them obv the more frames you have to get right. I don't mind it too much in animation but its really cool when they pull off stuff like this

Aww, man, we wanted the drunken bassist!! So sad. She's actually pretty good. The thing about Bocchi is that the playing animations are mo-capped. So the finger movements are actually accurate.

@@DBT1007 And? Why are you making it like it's a competition? XD In any case, it's mo-capped for accuracy, they still have to draw it manually after (so the chances to be more accurate are higher). As it's clearly not 3D as you can see. If you had any knowledge of animation/drawing, you'd know what I'm talking about. It's very useful.

Mio from K-On is my favorite. Especially in the song Samidare 20 Love. The Bass is great in that one

This makes me want season 2 so badly. I would imagine it would get a higher budget considering how popular it was after it came out, and that means they could make the music even better potentially

was hoping given would be in this video and wasn't disappointed!! its one of my favourite animes!! this was a great video (I am a bassist and have a special interest in anime.) anyways im off to watch bocchi the rock bc ive been too busy to get around to watching it yet.

My wife got me stuck in watching Aggretsuko, and in one of the few episodes I watched there was this character named Haida who played (and slapped) bass; although the anime is quite stylized, the bass and the playing animation was rendered pretty accurately. I think it was worth mentioning it!

I was so hyped Davie watched some anime bassists, including Bocchi, but I was super sad he didn’t actually see any playing by Mio (Elizabass) from K-On because she has some super cool bass lines in their songs. One of my favorites is in their song Cagayake Girls full version, where she has some super great bass runs, and even a bass solo! I hope he returns to this topic and does a mini cover of that song like he did with Bocchi 😭

I'm so glad you played "Guitar, Loneliness, and Blue Planet". Its my favorite song from Bocchi the Rock along with Never Forget

I realised two things: even though I am a massive K-On stan, I think the music in Bocchi will probably be way more up my alley and this might be the strongest argument to watch it so far. And second: The direct comparison of all the video footage made me realise how epic Given's animation truly is. I already love it so so much, simply because of the story and since I am a big sucker for pretty visuals, I already enjoyed that aspect. But I will appreciate it even more now! Kinda how like YOI had such beautiful skating animation. I love it when there is so much love shown to their sport/art.
