Dave was like the first person on YT that showed me that there is "a 100%" that you can actually learn in playing a musical instrument. It's not the last level in music (because music is so much more than just playing), but perfection in playing a musical instrument is achievable for many people who practice enough. IDK, before that I thought there will always be a better player, but no. There's a level when you just can play anything perfect. From the other hand, you can still be a better musician being worse at playing the instrument. Because music is so much more. Davie is 100% pro at playing bass and is a pretty good musician too.

Thank you Davie504, i am a guitarist but from when I know your channel I leave guitar to learn bass. I am still practicing but I hope to be good like you and maybe we could have a jam session together in the future, but to do this I need to practice more and more. You are my bass hero ever!
Imagine you're about to teach someone something in the craft you love and your hero just pops on the screen and asks you to teach them. Amazing.

Davie's dead pan delivery kills me 😆 Great player and comic genius.
All real bass teachers know who Davie is.
Mad respect for the first teacher for just going along with the flow.
Davie's support of other musicians online is something to be admired.
its all thank to u after 30 secondss; haha, love it
The first guy is the dude who I hired like a month ago to teach me slap!

Being brazilian, I know that the teachers didnt know the intent of the video. But maybe, JUST MAYBE, it would be SO COOL if davie learned some samba grooves from brazilian songs like from João Bosco (thats super fast and insane, sure to learn something new like in "Incompatibilidade de gênios") and other music monsters we got. I feel so good when Brasil gets the recognition it deserves when it comes to music. Thank you Davie!

The quick edits and deadpan are almost as good as the bass playing.
you know you’re a good bass player when your teacher thanks you for the lesson
