    I like all Davie's videos, but this one in particular struck me as super positive and humble. He always tries to showcase bass and bassists, but the way he did it here, with that jam at the end, felt especially sweet. I hope Davie will continue to put up such content.

    There is little to compare this to. I've watched and shared it many times already, and I will continue to do so. The amount of pure talent and genius on display in this video is impossible for me to quantify. I do not use the E word often. Many people use it often, and they clearly have no grasp of the words gravitas. The performances shown in this video are truly epic.

    very nice video , a lot of passion in playing the Bass, a lot of real talent displayed here. I personaly truly loved it! I don't play any instrument (maybe , someday , i give it a try) , but i love to listen to real played music. Keep up the good work displaying the bass guitar.

    It's a newer style that Polyphia made popular (to my knowledge). I haven't seen it used with bassists though so its cool to see it evolve.

    3:58 is a meme refers to the song "Get Down" (ゲッダン). It was originally a bug in the game "GoldenEye - 007", where causes npcs and object starting to move irregularly. Later someone made a animation of that and put the song "Get Down" in the background which fits perfectly and became a meme.

    I love your channel and your deadpan vibe. I don't watch as often as I might , but when I do, I bookmark for repeat viewing. But back to the topic of this video, I think Japan has no shortage of great bassists; their groove is fun to watch. And it seems that the five-string bass is what's really happening there.     Bass is waaay more versatile than people think. In it's simplest form, you have 3 "ways" to play it. pick, pluck and slap. But it can go waaaay beyond with sound, style and use.

    Davie lost the "smile battle" against Mina GF Band. That's a pretty big slap in the face 😇 On the smile topic though... Now if you wanted to see one of the happiest bassist in the world playing in a band, you should check NEMOPHILA's bassist (Haraguchi San), she is usually all smiles in all the vids they do.

    To be fair, most of their songs are one long bass solo. The other musicians being so amazing also sometimes makes it hard to pay attention to just the bass though even though the bass is definitely up in the mix.

    That was an awesome video. I've heard of Band Maid and it's such a shame that they didn't have enough coverage on this video. But this does not take away the skills of the other Japanese bass players. They are so awesome that I feel like taking out my bass guitar and jam.
