We all know that Pia raised Anna very well. Anna is a positive person and so Pia. And also i love the "Before you stop making these mistakes, you gotta do them a thousand times" that is just beautiful.

❤ This is so sweet, negating all the toxic stuff some people thought was a good idea to post under this video. I mean, my gosh, some ppl are nasty. 🤢

Surely you should try to stop making the same mistakes, as opposed to repeating them 999 more times
Instant flashback to Anna's dad going "YOU PLAY LIKE THIS?" when her game came up on the 'Guess the ELO' vid she did with her parents. Don't sweat it, Anna. It's a respectable sentiment behind making that gamble

Parents can't always resist a nudge in the right direction for their children.
❤ You are so courageous to share this game which was clearly heartbreaking and disappointing for you, sharing authentically when so many people decide to only show up when they are at they best... We all have bad moments, especially with the pressure and tiredness of an event like this, and how we get back up after we fall is what counts. I respect you so much for this video. Of course, I really enjoy the videos where you win and feel so happy for you, but a video like this for me shows the strength of your character.
These recaps are really enjoyable, I always look forward to the next one! "We all have a garbage bin" - Anna Cramling 2023 "I mean not just in a literal way, cause we have that at home"
I can't quite put my finger on it, but I can follow and understand your analysis better than just about anybody else's analysis.

I think it’s partially because she analyzes and ponders moves when playing rather than relying mostly on intuition. So, she’s able to explain things efficiently and clearly.

Some GMs are just way passed us. I feel like she’s someone in a club that knows their stuff and can actually explain it super easily. Naroditsky and John Barthalomew are the only others that do it this well imo
Anna is posting losses like a champ I love it. Losses make you better!
It's easy to show a win but we all still benefit from seeing a loss. Great video as always.
As one battle-hardened veteran of the amateur chess circuit told me once, chess is the "slaughter-bench of the ego." It's so true. It's painful to lose a tournament game in this fashion, but the most important thing is to stay positive and keep a good attitude! Great to see Anna doing that. Good luck in the last round!
Love your positive and resilient mentality Anna! 😊 Keep it up and good luck!!
2:37 why does nobody play this?? Damn it was so hilarious
This game that you played was a turning point for me. I used to play chess all the time when I was younger and was quit good at it. Then life changed and I stopped playing. Now 40 years later I am starting to play again and learning all the things I forgot. So, win or loose I will have the same enthusiasm that you bring to the world of chess. Thank you for inspiring me to play and learn and never give up no matter what.
'Why does nobody play this?' 😂 I love how chaotic you are on the chessboard
I just started learning chess again in January, but now that I saw the 7-move trick I was forced to quit. 😢

We all pass through that mood, at any level. You have a beautiful learning proces just in front, enjoy it!
It doesn't look like you have lost when you take it with such grace. You are smiling, so you probably won a game or better. Friendlyness is a great competence, more desireable than many others imo.

She's different, she's always smiling it's hard to predict whether she wins or not.
You are so brave to share a game you lost, and your recap is so upbeat and energetic and entertaining! Thank you for sharing!
Anna I've been watching your videos for over a year and I must say you have truly reached a new level! I love your game reviews and I always learn new things. But most of all I love your attitude. You take your mistakes in stride, not beating up on yourself and are having so much fun!! These are all things I'm working on as I attempt to learn this incredible game. Thank you for all that you do and good luck today!
You're incredible Anna! Keep up!
Love , love, LOVE these recaps! I would be interested in what preparation looks like. I hear about "preparation" all the time--but I don't really know what it entails or looks like for competitive players.

Looking up opponent's games in chess databases to get a sense of their playing style, esp. their favorite openings; then making sure you're familiar with those lines. The other kind of prep happens before super GM games where they try to find a line that's likely to surprise their opponent.

I participated only ones and as a teen but for me I looked at the games of my opponents in advance to understand their gameplay and habits, practiced openings and solved puzzles. It was very helpful. They probably memorise a lot of gambits/previous games etc

I love this serie. What a great evaluation everytime.
"Why does nobody play this" - this should be an instant red flag for any chess move, especially in classical
Thank you for bringing me back to chess. I used to love chess when i was younger but as i got older, i kind of fell out of playing. You have brought passion and excitement about the game and reignited my passion for the game as well. My nephew and I started playing again and watching your videos helped me immensely! Especially some of the videos where you let your mom play the same scenario and she opened my eyes to a deeper understanding of the game. Thank you Anna for your passion!!
3:30 so many times I have been done exactly the same...and I am still not learning haha. But, good to see you follow that line to see your analysis
Thanks Anna..I like the fact that you give us instruction and insight from losses as well as wins...And I appreciate your humbleness and effort...Good luck in the last round!!
I love how positive you are and how you put your bad games out for everyone to see as well. Your enthusiasm and spirit are contagious your parents should be very proud.
2:47 I like how she points out the fancy words :)
I enjoy your videos so much! God bless you and may you keep having fun and allowing us to learn through your glowing spirit! xo
One of the best game reviews I’ve watched. Found it honest, entertaining, and thoroughly educational. Wish you so much success in the future. I need to watch all your videos now from this tournament. Keep up this standard, love it
Being greatly candid about your process let’s us learn the game on levels beyond the board. Thank you ❤️
ANNA! Stay with the standard openings. Stop with taking so much time trying to calculate opening variations. Get the opening moves completed quickly and get into the middle game. Love your reviews. Very informative.

Exactly what I thought! I have to think early, since I lack opening theory. I am almost jealous about people knowing all this lines. When Anna knows several good lines I always think "just pick one, it can even be a random good line you positively know, but don't waste a second in this phase of the game".
Really enjoying the tournament videos 👍🏻
Rough game. We all have bad games though. It's hard not to feel bad about a loss like this. Hopefully the win today was a helpful bounce-back!
Thanks for sharing Anna. You make chess seem fun again when I sometimes get bored of it. These recaps help improve my unimpressive chess skills.
Amazing. You learn so much from a loss but even more from the way she tells it, going through the mental process.
Anna, I love your spirit, but it might be a good idea if you believe you've suddenly found a brilliant move during the opening which nobody plays, to just store it away for further investigation with a computer later on and focus on playing a solid opening 😀. Anyway, I wish you luck and hope you'll continue playing tournaments and start climbing in rating again. Love your content!

Anna the way u explain everything is truly amazing
Making a critical mistake in the opening is like getting knocked to the canvas twice in the 1st round of a prize fight - you may recover but the odds are not in your favor. Thanks for an instructive game. Love your attitude!
Thank You for the recaps, they have been enlightening.
That line was insane! Awesome line and you saw it! That game had some good lessons in it. GOLD really! Keep the game, it’s bittersweet but it’s bitter and sweet! It was your personal chess lesson!
"Why does nobody play this? ...So anyway, I started blasting..."
I am glad you see you need to focus on time management and making "engine moves" more often. I look forward to watching you gain ELO like crazy.

Ooofff. Heart breaking. Excellent video though gl next round!
Love the attitude. Best of luck in your final round! 👍🙂
Anna you just have so much positive energy! Just makes me watch more and more! Just love all your positive energy Anna!❤
Love your work Anna !!! Alwasy so entertaining with your boundless enthusiasm and energy. You have really reignited my passion for chess again. I am also a big fan or your Mum hahahaha
Thank you so much for sharing this game with us! Tomorrow is another day!
Anna, I love that you explore a few more moves for a possible tactic instead of a straight exchange. I think it's what's missing in my game plan.
Seems to be playing 1800 chess this OTB tournament. And the last OTB tournament.

Do you know many 1800s FIDE?
Thank you for continuing to make videos, even though you didn't have a great tournament. I know if you are playing a 1700 in the last round, that this tournament didn't go your way... very impressed by you both making videos and not seeming depressed (at least on camera) about having a bad tournament. I hope and pray that future tournaments go better for you.
I am really enjoying the recaps 👍
Nice explanation. I wish you all the best for the rest of this event.
Huge fan of yours Anna, AWESOME content, I really look forward to watching your videos daily
You've a great attitude and both feet planted firmly on the ground. More official OTB chess matches are your future way forward. Excellent recap and a good lesson illustrated!
Gotta love the commentary on these games. They are insightful, funny and honest. Well done!
I admire that that you are able to speak so casually and openly about a game that you would like to forget.
I watched the recaps, and the thing I would say is that the tournament was strong. NOt only at the top but in the middle sections too the players were very serious. Well, it's easy for me to say because I don't take chess too seriously - leastways not any more - and I guess maybe you do still. I hope you got a chance to do a little sightseeing, and have a few decent meals. Sometimes while travelling it's worth the extra few 'dollars' to get a good meal and not whatever they're serving in the local diner. Good luck, and hope to see more games soon.
Great show of humility!
Good luck Anna watching you play is very helpful and entertaining
My garbage bin is just an entire junkyard.
Thanks Anna, enjoying your recaps.
I really like this type of video, I hope you will continue for a long time
Do not forget this game. Whenever you ask yourself why no one is playing a certain move in the opening you remember this game and at least check for these kind of traps.
You're are a fantastic person n great teacher. Thank you so much
I'm not a serious chess guy but Anna's recaps are great,
I feel for you. Good luck on your final round.
Your love for the game is infectious, Anna. Your commentary is clear, and insightful. Remember to breath. And relax. And most important of all, enjoy your chess. 🤞🏿
I am a decision scientist (but not a great chess player) and I can agree that your insights into plan switching and being reluctant to reject conventional wisdom are profoundly true.

You are great! We stayed there with you. Great learning opportunity, great opponent.
RIP light square bishop. He'll never recover from this.
Anna, You might not be a basketball player but you are a great rebounder! In defeat you manage to smile and teach others what you have learned about that game. Thanks for the positive atmosphere that you convey on your chess videos.
Your smile and positive energy are contagious!
I admire the positivity of Anna, after games like this I am outrageously mad at myself and want to quit for good.
Love your positive attitude!
Sorry for your game , but you've helped me as I play that daft Knight move and learnt not to anymore so thank you 👊
The important thing is that you learned from this game, and had a good time. You will never win them all. Keep being you because it makes my day listening to your commentary even though I am no good at chess.
Good luck in the final round ! Do youre best
Loving watching the recaps. Especially the ones where you lose. Not being mean, I just enjoy seeing you break down the lessons that are important to learn. Great content!
Mistakes gives room for improvement and i think ur already such a great player!!! You did great anna!❤️❤️❤️❤️
You broke the first rule of the openings: Dont move ths same piece twice in the opening
You always stay amazingly positive!
Keep your head up, thanks for sharing both your wins and your losses, Anna (and your draws of course :) )
I love your recaps and for sure your content is gold 🪙. Thanks to share your routine with us Keep it up Anna💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🏆🏆🏆🔥
I am always impressed by Anna's tenacity. No matter how precarious the situation; no matter the fervent resolve of her opponent, she always demonstrates a quintessential trait that is imperative to success: Her demeanor is unfailingly positive. She is an inspiration to humanity at large and her enigmatic style has already left an indelible mark on the chess world.
The good thing about wondering "Why doesn't anyone play this move?" mid-game is that you can actually postpone this question and find out AFTER the game (I don't do that)
7:20 anna stated jumping cause of how crazy moves was
What a crazy game :o
Wow Anna, you got a garbage bin at home. That really made me laugh😂
I think we're about the same level and it's interesting to see how while I think I'm slightly more accurate on average you sometimes come up with these crazy lines I just didn't notice AT ALL. I also recognize a lot of your issues, it helps me a lot.
Good Lord Anna. Your biggest mistake was not switching your plan and blundering material. It was wasting 20-30 minutes deciding to do it.

Ouch.
J aime bien quand tu explique, et je comprend bien ton anglais
Agree with all the comments stating you take this loss with grace. Really inspiring to see how you pick yourself up and move forward
the hardest part i think was the emotional part in this game, but you eventually got recovered very well from that punch, only the time at the end was the issue...
