Fun thing here is, that it actually affects your brain reseptors way more effectively when you listen to metal, than for example rap. I don't know the exact reason, but I'll assume it has something to do with melody-creativity correlation in human brains.

They're just made to feel like they don't, by the society who can't see patterns and only perceives chaos, take Archspire for instance. METAL IS THE MUSIC OF THE GODS. 🤘🏽

But it's an acquired taste.

7:05 I was 16 when I went alone with my friends to a metal concert. At one point I got separated from them and a moshpit was about to start. Now, me a girl 1.65m and 47kg and fecking scared of being mushed. I tried getting out before it erupts and the others were so awesome. I felt people's hands on me carefully navigating me to the side. As soon as I was out I hear a loud "now! Let's go!" and I realised everyone waited until I'm "out of the way" as it disolved people pushed me kindly again towards the middle. I told it my mum the next day who was ok with me liking metal but was still worried. Needless to say she got a new kind of respect for metal heads.

Why do non-metalheads think metal music has to do with something aggressive or violent? I mean some bands and music can have some aggression and violence involved. I mean it's some good music to listen to if you're bored, need to cheer yourself up, or just need some energy.

One time, a guy that I went to school with had the courage to ask me out, he wasn't bad looking at the time, but the thing is that he asked me out after blurting out that he hates metal, and that 'Rock n Roll' is dead!!!! So, of course I declined!!! Lolz!!! He then went on to ask me why I said no to him, and I said "Because I'm a metalhead, and you just said that you hate metal!!!! So, because of that, my answer is no!!!!" The dude then said, "But you, don't look like a metalhead!!! You're way too pretty!!!" Haha these are so true!! At the age of 14 I found Ozzy and Metallica. Changed my life. My mom was like "don't worry, it's just a phase." Welp..... I'm now 42 and am taking my 17 daughter to see Disturbed again, and my mom's coming along 🤣 It's a pretty long phase, mom. My daughter can belt out some Slayer and Sabbath and thinks that girls who listen to Katy Perry need Jesus. 🤘🏼 (Also I convinced my mom to let me go see Megadeth when I was 16, only thing was she had to come with me. The contrast of opinions like that to reality are amusing to me. I find the average metalheads to be friendly and chill as well as intelligent. As to the religious connotation, I myself am a believer in Christ and among my favorite bands include Fear Factory, Amon Amarth and Strapping Young Lad. "Go forth and listen to shitty music " hesitations 1:1? Nope...not there.

Lol i asked my mom if i could listen to Marilyn Manson (she knew i would listen to him) and she said "yes, but Ozzy Osbourne dont listen to him he will make u a criminal!!" I had a wtf face, coz ozzy was my childhood and she knew that i listen to him, she thought i would forget about The God Of Darkness.

Todays hits are still music, you can't say that metal is music if something else isn't, whether it's good or not is entirely subjective but typically, metal has waaaay more work put into it
