things that actually helped me to get out of my depression (and things that did not)

Here are some resources that I hope will be helpful!
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has a search engine that can be used to find mental health services in your area. It also shows whether practices offer pro bono or fee for service. www.samhsa.gov/
Mental Health America offers no cost group therapy for a number of life stressors and mental health problems. mhanational.org/
The National Alliance on Mental Illness can connect people to pro bono or fee for service mental health support in your area. They also offer free support groups and programs. www.nami.org/
The 988 Suicide & Crisis National Lifeline connects callers to trained crisis counselors in their area who can offer support and resources. Call or text 988 !

thank you so much for this! i feel like it's even harder to get yourself to do things you know are good for you when you're feeling low, because finding the energy & motivation to even get out of bed feels impossible. i've been dealing with depression on & off for a while and i was desperate to do something that would make me truly get better on my own, so i'm very grateful for this video & i'm glad to hear that you're feeling better as well

I often create unrealistic expectations for myself too and then berate myself when I don't fulfill them. There is no need for that second arrow of suffering! Anyway, thank you so much for the helpful video, Yeonni!! :3 I'm glad you are feeling better

What's yours (or anyone else's!) work out routine? As in what sort of exercise do you do? I want to work out but I just can't find anything that suits me

That's a great question! I think it took me a while to find something that I didn't hate doing lol. For me, the routine that's helped me the most (physically, mentally) has been the 12-3-30 which is a high intensity cardio workout. I watch youtube videos/ Korean dramas while doing it. I personally hate running so its been a good way to get cardio in and have some "fun" with it. After the 30 minutes, I usually do some light full body workouts I found on Instagram from fitness instructors!
