I mean, France was a massive Chad holding for so long, and Dankus microing the rest of the Allies to kill the Italian army was pretty important. The soviet steamrolled the Axis because both Italy and Germany wasted a ridiculous amount of resources against the Allies, and Dankus played very well in his role. Clearly, it's not India winning the war...

No he didnt. Golden died in Ethiopia in late 39/early 40' so even if France capped earlier the axis wouldn't have made it to Ethiopia in time. Also goldens start in Ethiopia is one of the reasons why it took so long to kill France. Those 50 Italian divs applied no pressure to southern France letting France stack in the north. And when the acid broke via the south there weren't enough units to cover the tiles.

@@tendibuster germany shouldnt need italy to kill france. Italy only ever gets involved if germany is already struggling And if france looked likely to ca sooner saf and maybe aus couldnt have veen there

Holding Ethiopia is a terrible strat, always. Even with perfect Axis micro, unless the Allies has massive skill issues (France dying in 3 weeks, the entire Canadian or South African tank Corp getting encircled and killed D1, India not having good divisions etc), there is no phisical time to kill France and roll Africa without the italian army in Ethiopia dying. And if the allied get steamrolled that quickly, it doesn't make sense to hold something you can easily recover in no time 😅

​@@12garkif germany had been in africa by like feb 40 it would have meant the axis either push into egypt or lose the railway in the south giving the allies hard choices about splitting their troops

@@bertieclayton4865 Germany can't push deep into Africa without infantry on the Frontline, and Italian infantry being stuck in Ethiopia is always a bad idea. As I said, holding Ethiopia only works if the Allies are brain dead, and every strat works against brain dead enemies.
