Then you hear a different voice chime in (hes recounting a story) " but wait i was there with you you were never shot." And he was just embellishing a story to some of his buddies or something. My friends and I have had an inside joke for about 2 years about absurd headlines proclaiming the death of Young Sheldon. “Young Sheldon Found Dead in the Bronx.” “Young Sheldon Tied to a Missile and Shot into Space.” Seeing everyone now in on the joke feels incredibly surreal.

It is actually a pretty good show. It’s simple at its core but it’s nice to keep the focus on the family dynamic and Sheldon’s own conflicts

I still can’t get over the reveal that the entirety of The Big Bang Theory was just his final thoughts while bleeding to death after being shot by Whiter Walt.

The tragic ending of Young Sheldon really takes the "Big Bang" in _The Big Bang Theory_ way too personally.

Honestly Young Sheldon isn't even that bad of a show. It was a bit annoying early on when it focused heavily on Sheldon(who would have thought?) but later on when the show put more focus on his family and their lives it became a somewhat enjoyable classic style sitcom in the same vein as Family Ties.

@@metalmario1231 It’s a fine sitcom family show. There’s some good bits and I’ve come to find everyone but Sheldon to be fun to watch. I admit the grandmother is my favorite character because of the rugged but loving attitude and jokes.

from what ive heard (as someone who has never seen the show), its kind of an awesome ending in that it gives sheldon actually a lot of depth and self-reflection. unable to cope with the death of his father (as an emotionally stunted 14 year old, who is sent away from the rest of his family shortly afterwards to get his masters degree), he creates a negative "villain" type of character for his own dad in his mind to compartmentalize and avoid dealing with his grief FOR YEARS. only upon reaching the age his father was when he passed could he finally acknowledge that while his dad was flawed, he was a good dad and he had just been too immature to deal with everything he experienced as a child.

It's lucky for them that puberty didn't ruin the kid's resemblance to Adult Sheldon.

I watched the finale a few nights ago, and it left me crying my eyes out. The way they killed off Sheldon was just absolutely brutal. The symbolism of the Bang sound that echoed from the gun as it was fired, just has layers and layers of lore. CBS have already announced a new series called OLD MAN SHELDON, set in the near future, where a weary older Sheldon cares for a dying Dr Sturgis at a remote outpost on the Texas Border. His Hermitness is then upended by a young girl called Amy who is a lot like him. He must battle the dark forces that are out to get him and ultimately emerge as the mighty little man.

I mean, that finale was intense. Young Sheldon only got a B- on his final exam so he had some mafia guy fix it for him, that alone was intense. I cringed at the part where he said "pay me now, or pay me never" and Sheldon decided to pay him never. However, I have never seen more peak television than when Georgie killed Jim Parsons so Young Sheldon could have a new vessel after being gunned down by the mafia, creating Old Sheldon in the process. 10/10 episode, *This* is how you make a finale.
