As someone who currently serves in an Armoured Regiment. A lot of our IVC (Individual Field Craft) relates to countering/mitigating against Fast Air Attacks aka Helicopters and Jets. So in that aspect using them in game to kill other fast air and armoured assets is actually pretty spot on to how theyd get used in real life.

Jets in BF2042 are completely unskilled. There's no proper dogfighting, no aiming beyond the basics, the input and physics are extremely bad and the only viable option are lock ons. It feels like it is built so that anyone could fly these planes. They even bounce off most skyscrapers. Also notice how in BF4, your laser guided camera would be tilted, as to not fly straight into the ground (as is the case irl).

Pretty much spot on. Personally I team up with a wildcat and use my soflam to take out the jets and helios.

Nerf the Agm missiles.. 24/7 spawn camping when im spawning in with a tank

Jets are OP in this game. so hard to take down with aa missiles because of the flares that pop so fast

The only really easy way to take out jets would be with another jet. But then they don't really kill infantry either so most people just ignore them.

@@cjerp It is possible with 2 players. One uses the Rao specialists to hack the jet. This stops them popping flares. The other player then hits them with stinger. My friend and I do this all the time when we get sick of Jets spoiling infantry gameplay.

You need to bind keyboard keys for pitch up and down. E.g. space and L alt but choose one that works for you.

Also a fun way to do is bully the boltes with caspers drone, 2 people are enough to keep em disabled like 90% of the time

i actually use 25mm on the F 35 u can snipe people if u hover from a distance

30mm + 2 AGMs can destroy anything short of MBTs and Wildcat in single run.

This is what I've been telling my friends, they're more supportive for foot mobiles now more than ever, but don't expect 60 plus kills😁

The bolte are easy to take down hit them a rock and they stall throw a second one and they blow up. Not to mention their canons have to cool down after ever second shot.

How do you zoom in on Ps5, can’t figure it out and the options menu keeps changing lol

I just get out of vechiles as soon as I heard a lock on 😂

Pro tip - hover 500m above the battle field and reign down death ....... planes aint for flying they for hovering !

The problem I have is that 1. You can't spot and it's so damn hard to see vehicles on 1080p and most vehicles just blend in 2. The lock-on distance is so close to the ground that I often can't pull up in time 3. Hitting the ground is way less forgiveable than previous bf 4. No real speed control just boost and turn 5. The spread on the guns is nuts that it's super hard to take out even stationary infantry 6. Very limited weapons make pretty lackluster variety in jet gameplay. 7. Jet controls just feel so floaty 8. You don't know how much damage you've done . It's literally just 2 rockets for jeeps, 3 for tanks and 4 for the MAV. 9. You can't lock onto empty vehicles so people just jump out before you can fire the last rocket 10. If a vehicle has been vacated for like more than 15s then you get no vehicle destroyed points Jets are shit in this game.

@@AzuraProductions I'm on a console not pc master race so it's not as easy as just getting a higher res screen. Plus I don't believe it's a resolution issue but how easily the vehicles blend in on some maps. I never had the same issue on earlier bf games! For #3 what do you mean um? If you try to land slowly even in a Heli you nearly die! It's far less forgiving to collisions.

@@geetarwanabe Yeah for some reason dropping a vehicle to the ground in this game makes it like accelerate towards it. It's very hard to make a soft landing with any air vehicle for some reason. As for htting the ground itself, jets in this game are really slow in pulling up after a dive, especially when slowed down. I don't know if this is realistic or not, but it feels more like a bf5 plane to me than a aerodynamic master piece from the 21th century. When an attack helicopter is chasing me around the map he's almost just as fast as me which makes no sense to me.

Maybe try jet gameplay in Portal mode. There you have better cannons you get additional rocket pods. Its kinda buggy and tricky tho to equip those

If you have thermal smoke and a repair tool the jet cannot kill you I was in a Wildcat and this jet probably spent 10 minutes trying to get me and couldn't

how the hell can you survive so long in a jet. when i fly i get locked on by 2 jets,1 heli and at least 20 people with anti air guns..

Made both jets to Tier 1 mainly by killing ground vehicles, especially these hated Boltes

Love tearing up the enemy in a plane especially when I'm on foot and the enemy floods the sky with helicopters and then I respawn to the vehicle menu to see that beautiful plane sitting there open and then I wipe the enemy team to the point where they don't even respawn any air vehicles 🤣🤣🤣🤣 lol. Also forgot which plane does it but on controller I hit d-pad up and it will hover like a heli but you have to do it at good distances in cover because your mobility is not very good in this plane mode but if you manage to learn how it works you can absolutely destroy ground vehicles and infantry.love seeing battlefield content creators and I see you got some videos specific to bf2042...def a sub from me.

Nerf the reloading time for the AGM, as a jet pilot I will confirm it's a bit too good right now and giving the jet a reason to use their cannons more wouldn't be bad. Give the jets a tool to kill infantry more reliably (dumb missiles, bombs or something) so they're not stuck to just killing ground vehicles most of the time and increase the air ceiling for jets compared to helis so it becomes more inviting to hunt them instead of ground targets. The laughable range of the air radar also doesn't help much when trying to take down air targets. Jets are so slow in this game when turning that when you come in for your next strafe, you'll have to hope the target didn't move much so you'll find it in time to line up your cannons properly. Pair that with poor visibility and it's no wonder most pilots just skip the air targets and go for ground targets instead. I tried to use the Radar Missiles as dumbfire missiles for ground targets, but that is completely rubbish, the missiles don't go where your crosshair is aiming and for Air to Air it's not even that great either. Maybe if they gave it more splash damage it would be an option. In this game every vehicle can be a straight up nightmare for the enemy when used right, but none are invincible. Some games I can fly a whole game without a care and in others I spend 10 minutes fighting a Wildcat that's hiding next to / under cover or an attack heli that's just hovering at the air ceiling chasing my every move. In breakthrough Wildcats can hide in their base which makes them unreachable for infantry and they're basically the equivalent of AA campers in BF3/4. I think what we miss the most here is stationary guns that allow infantry to deal with vehicles that they currently can't deal with. But then these vehicles should also have the tools to deal with these stationaries.

Lol ya, the only time you notice them is if you are in a chopper or tank

By the way you can repair your jet with the repair tool. Try to have it parallel to the ground and speed below 90. Use slowdown effect that starts around 1100 altitude

This is to assume you have free reign of the sky. You need anti air missiles to defend yourself against enemy helis / jets.

@@AzuraProductions the creators are one of the main problems, the same people that got offered $200k to not talk about bugs in bf4. You got people putting out crazy only in battlefield moments just to make the game look crazy and look like it has no problems. We’ve bought the most expensive battlefield game with the least amount of features ever. Wonderful.

I hate how everything is just a lock on. Infantry is just lock on, other vehicles are just lock ons. The jets have no anti infantry cause of the lack of unguided bombs as well as the main cannons having unbelievable spread and low velocity, it’s really irritating cause jets just feel boring, when they were fun in bfV and 1.

@@AzuraProductions I also hate how you don’t need to learn bomb drop trajectories and actually learn how they drop to more effectively take out vehicles and infantry. It’s just point and click and it’s boring.

Funny cause jets are actually the worst vehicles in this BF. I can destroy them easy with little bird, extremaly easy with apatche/hokum and depend of shooters with ospray or hind. Actually u can destroy jets even with bolte with rockets. Maybe on consoles jets are better cause u know... mouse >>> controlers.

planes should have the same chance of killing infantry as infantry has killing planes. This is the first battlefield game to understand this.

@@SpeedKing.. jets were the worst thing about bf3 you should not be able to go 70 and zero in a game no matter how good you are there needs to be counters bf has never put a counter to a jet that was not also a jet.

I am having a really hard time leveling up the jets... Why is everybody doing so well with them?

The key is patience. If you start the game in a jet and don't die you will probably only get about 10 kills dependent on how many transports you kill

When you say that as a jet you are not contributing a lot in this game and seeing that you are having difficulty unlocking or doing something worth it made me realize that I miss Battlefield V even more. Planes in that game were so vital to the gameplay. I am hoping that when they add new vehicles soon they add an attack jet variant of at least give the current jets some rocket pods.

Imo jets should be only up in air taking out other jets or air support not infantry we have enough bs to worry about with tanks and air support like helis as is then making jets crazy op against infantry battlefield need good balance between infantry and vehicle combat not make vehicles crazy op it just makes the game not fun when some vehicles are crazy op or unbalanced the infantry combat should be fun to not just vehicle combat.
