I feel like cricket dosent belong to be obtained from crafting but rather must've been implemented to be spawned and found as a used submarine (the scratches and growth and even a gas tank). Example - found with the crab snake base or even near aurora . Seeing those areas are hostile it could've also been found somewhere in kelp forest ( like a wrekage with a room that we can only swim into with the criket and still need a propulsion cannon to get it out with removal of the boxes(as in aurora door blockage))

@@c4sualcycl0ps48 Maybe, but you can have multiple storage modules on the sea truck at the same time. You also get the recyclotron whichl allow you to compress items (EG: titanium into ingots) to fit more in and you can uncraft if needed.

There is also one more interesting vehicle, its called ,,neptune escape rocket"

@dannybrezelhorner2715 don't get me wrong, it's a fun game but it kinda removes a good portion of the underwater survival game that the series is known for by adding a lot more dry land to be explored making up about 1/4 of the playable area and removing quite a bit of that mystery and eeriness that the first game had with the leviathan bones, the lack of other human npcs, and let's not forget the ghost leviathans, sure the void in bellow zero is also scary with the shadow chelicerates but nothing is more terrifying than hearing a blood curdling screech while exploring the lost river or venturing too far into the void. And also the sand dunes.

I’ve wanted the plushie since release but my family doesn’t have that much money but congrats on getting fully funded

I came up with an idea for sub once it was called the Seamonarch, it was kind of like a sea truck plus prawn suit it moves like a Seamoth & has four limbs that can do various tasks, including: pick up things, drill things, increase sub speed with the use of flippers & use even the limbs to crawl on land (with the right upgrades of course). The limbs are on the front of the sub & when transitioning to land mode the limbs will move to the bottom of the sub, thus only allowing you to use one of the limbs at a time. It has a back station where you can either attach a vehicle (with the right upgrade) or pull seatruck cargo (with the right upgrade), it will not be able to crawl on land with the back station upgrades though.

Hey bacon no what they mean by fly is if you press f it will switch engine modes and make were you can actually ture fly like the old mod were the seamoth and Cyclops can fly and for context i mean the way the wraith works

One of the most important things in my opinion is texture. It's best to try your best to give it a blending texture. If it gets the texture of the inside, then it's the best sub mod I have seen ngl.

You failed to mention the Cricket Containers (also crafted at the MVB), which are floating storage lockers you can transport with the Cricket. I think the Wraith is balanced by the fact that it has no storage. It can get you across the map super fast, but nothing else. The phantom is cool, but it is an end game item since it requires >!kyanite!< to make.

I don't know if they did this, but I think with the Wraith, the trade off should be it can't dive real deep. Because in order to fly, it needs to be light wight, thus the light construction can't handle high depth pressure. Also could be weaker to creature attacks.

I could really see use for all of these if they maybe had some sort of tradeoff, like the cricket very week and not able to take much damage, or the wraith being fast, but harder to control. that way you have the cyclops as the mobile base, the phantom for exploration, the seamoth for a balance of speed, health, and maneuverability, the cricket for transportation through safer areas, and the wraith for when you need to go fast

Something I'd really love to see and had actually even considered building in the past (though avoided doing due to my focus on game development and college) is a mod to add in vehicles from the concept art into the game. Just taking tons of vehicles from the concept art and adding em all in. Could be pretty interesting to see how each of them would be made unique from one another.

Fun fact, I have an idea for a mod that I cannot implement yet, but when I can, I think it might be pretty decent you would add more to the map with a few things in the void asas well as a new submarine. This new one would be a bit bigger than the Cyclops, I’m talking big enough to Dock with Cyclops and it would be constructed in multiple parts, think similar to the Neptune rocket, but these parts could be moved independently, sort of like sea truck modules this ship would be capable of flying but would not be able to fly to high. And it will be designed for exploring the new areas of the void. it would have a few other functionalities as well such as adding custom base components, which could be used inside or outside of it for clarity. These custom base components would be unlocked when you build the thing as well as other upgrade, modules and things as well as multiple floors, and some cyclops functionality would be maintained like the ability to dock smaller ships as well as the ability to support similar upgrade modules right now this is only a concept however, I am planning on implementing it someday but right now I do not have the resources to do so sorry about this paragraph of text

Hello, the last bacon! Thank you for the amazing content! I just saw a video "Making subnautica as scary as possible", and I would like to ask, did you ever consider doing a whole let's play with those mods? I think that would be so cool for all subnautica lovers. I understand that some mods will be changed or adjusted (such as custom water level, you will probably need 200 meters instead of 10 thousand), but that would still be so scary and cool!!!! Lol for the lava zone it looks like they took the Architect machine roots and textures the hitboxes to make it look like molten rock so you cant see the actual model underneath, hence the cubes.

I really hope they bring back the cyclops for subnautica 3. Or at least a vehicle like it. The cyclops is such an iconic vehicle to us and we really want to see it return. Being able to construct a mobile base is so useful. For example I use my cyclops as a forward operating base for harvesting resources. I take my prawn suit with drill arm and park the cylops in the area and harvest resources and bring them back to the cyclops to then transport back to base. Stuff like that just wasn't possible with the sea truck and it really left a void in below zero for me.

I honestly like the idea of some of these, but if the subs are solely cosmetic, it wouldn't be interesting, but if they have functional upsides, then that is a different story.
