    My best tip for eggs, if you can, get them from a local farmer. Someone who will let you see how they raise and feed their birds. My birds receive the best care, with unlimited outdoor access so long as it is safe (when temps are dangerously low, I do keep them in for their own safety), and they are fed a species appropriate diet. They have 5 acres to roam on and get checked several times a day for any injuries or early illness signs. That being said, your local chicken farmer may tell you no eggs certain times of the year. I know this is sad for everyone, but it is for the best for the chickens to give them time off from laying in the cold months. Lots of commercial farmers will add artificial lighting to force the chickens to lay more in the off season. This will shorten the life expectancy of the bird, and also increase their risk of egg yolk peritonitis which is a deadly infection caused by an egg breaking inside of the bird's reproductive tract. I have only ever lost 1 bird to EYP and she was an older bird that I had rescued from a production farm that was about to slaughter her.

    A couple years ago I went 100% gluten free. As I was experimenting. I found that I did feel a lot better! But I was also eating gluten free toast or fruit for breakfast, 1 avocado per day, eating tomatoes and cucumbers for lunch, and chicken and veg for dinner. So it could have just been my diet change anyway. But I felt so energized and great on this diet.

    Y'know... all this grass fed pasture raised organic stuff is lovely if you can get it, but honestly, this is a privilege for the affluent that John and Jane Doe on the street can't afford. It's hard enough to just afford things that aren't processed to death and crammed with chemicals and the runaway inflation has made it touch and go just to pay basic bills.

    I'm Indonesian, we make smoothies with avocadoes. Toss avocado + white/brown/palm sugar + ice into a blender and voila: avocado smoothie. For more unhealthy version, add condensed milk (adjust the ratio with sugar for desired sweetness) top it with a scoop of vanilla/chocolate ice cream. I kid you not, avocadoes taste good with chocolate. So when I found out westerners eat avocadoes as savory dishes, it really blows my mind. IDK if it's because I'm so used to drink sweet avocadoes, eating the savory ones don't impress me much. 😅

    I love my vegetables ....all of my kids love fruits and veggies, but when they went through a no "vegetables" stage my food processor came to the rescue, and I still use it when I cook for my mother in law. She absolutely hates green vegetables, or orange, or red, etc. And the only fruit she will eat has to be in a pie.

Next the chickens move in an get a full buffet from the churned up ground and the poop has so many flies and maggots. The eggs are just beautiful. I also purchase pastured fed and finished chicken and beef. Rosemary Perth Western Australia 72 yrs

    I love vegetables. My mom make my sister and I eat it since little by mixing it with the food (i.e. onions, carrots, zucchini and red pepper cut very little for the spaghetti sauce). And my dad loves fruits, if he’s hungry, he grab a fruit or a bunch and eat it. Me too. The only thing that I don’t eat is ground or processed meat and ham… I hate hamburgers, sausage and all types of ham. Sometimes I can’t even smell it, but I do eat meat (beef, chicken, pork, fish, eggs). And I don’t like sodas, that’s my BFF fault bc she started to drink only water and I imitated her… so water or natural juice

    I have to have my coffee in the morning and I just add a splenda package and whitener in it. I learned to use coffee whitener because my boys were allergic to milk and I could not have it in the house because they were into all the time. Coffee is the only thing where I use a sweetner. I usually try and eat healthy because there is so much sugar diabetes in my family. I am amused with what eggs to buy. My grandparents used to go to the hen house and get the eggs from underneath the chicken and they were free range.

    I don’t eat any form of fiber and I poop just fine. Humans do not require fiber too poop. It in fact; complicates the human DIGESTIVE system. Fiber is indigestible, which inhibits the digestive processes. It also removes digestive bile from our digestive system, which is not ok. Fiber also causes micro tears in the digestive tract, which is why mucous gets created. Mucous is a defense mechanism; it’s why when we get debris in our lungs or nasal passages…we create mucous. How did humans manage during the ICE AGE? Not a lot of fiber available… And then, doctor, there is the matter of babies. Breast fed babies notably do not consume fiber…but the baby still poops. No fiber at all! How do they do it?

  • @jenniferpippin3

    @jenniferpippin3

    Breast milk has oligosaccharides. It’s the third highest content in breast milk behind lactose and lipids. It is a prebiotic fiber. Also, bottle feed babies and very young children have a lot of constipation issues.. If you have issues with soluble fiber, than you aren’t drinking enough water. Insoluble can help aid digestion, or other food that it is eaten with. In the ice age, food was scarce. You wouldn’t want as much fiber because you would want your body to store and hold on to more food due to not wanting to starve to death but without fiber, you are more likely to get sick too since you will lack microbiomes that feed into your immunity.

  • @claytondemge2630

    @claytondemge2630

    @@jenniferpippin3 fiber doesn’t feed our immune system, it weakens it. Your comment about the Ice Age also makes ZERO sense, especially considering your assertion that we need fiber or we would get sick. Fiber is indigestible, which is why human DIGESTIVE systems have issues with it. Think about what happens if you flush stuff that shouldn’t be flushed, like some socks. What happens?
