Another miss is truck manufacturers not offering engine choices or bed and cab choices. I know it's cheaper and easier for them and their excuse is "this is what buyers are saying they want " bullshit. I don't believe it for a second. I bought an extended cab long box Colorado in 2021 and it took me weeks to find a new one. It would have been months to get if I ordered one if I could get it at all.

My #1 idiotic idea: Slapping the Mustang name onto an electric SUV. In fact, Ford has been idiotic with a LOT of their names. The Maverick pickup? That should have been the Ranchero, thus reviving a long absent, very evocative, western sounding, name. Then they could have called their new EV SUV the Maverick, thus properly reviving that name on a new platform. They could have had 3 iconic names on 3 identifiable platforms and been off to the races. But nope, gotta water down their single remaining icon. I'm too enraged over this to call it merely sad.

Calling the Mach-E a Mustang was actually a genius move. It gives the regular mustang emissions wiggle room to stay around as we know it for a lot longer. Even Chevy is doing that with the Corvette. They are making an electric SUV with the Corvette name and styling, to keep it around as a V8 sports car for years longer. So you should stop with your "watered down" bs, because the Mustang is the only muscle car that is staying in production with a V8, while both the Camaro and Challenger are getting discontinued as V8 muscle cars thanks to the Mach-E. Better to have an odd new family member than to kill off the family entirely.

He got 100 miles out of LA to Riverside, and had to re-charge. When he found a charge station that worked and was not occupied by a "dead head", the charge time took 3 hours. Ford SHOULD kill the Mustang (ICE) and replace it with a 2-seat sports car to compete with the C8. I'm speaking as an ex Ford fan-boy, having owned 3 NEW Mustangs in my 67yr driving career, '68 Snelby GT-350, '69 BOSS 302, and '71 BOSS 351. I am tired of basically seeing the SAME old Mustang with the "back seat" (a total joke) all these years. AND, ALWAYS taking a back seat in performance to the competition (Camaro, Charger, Challenger etc.) And yes, Ford should have come up with a different name for the MACH E. With all of Ford's issues (re-calls, reliability "circling the drain") I doubt if I will ever return to Ford again!!

I thought the shoots without videographers were due to scheduling restrictions and conflicts with other planned videos; I never knew the manufacturers weren’t supporting bringing them along. That seems silly, when they can look at the videos shot with videographers compared to trying to shoot and host simultaneously and see the rather glaring difference in clarity of content and message when the host can just purely focus on presenting the content and let the videographer handle getting all the right angles to frame that content from a viewer’s perspective.

I wish Mitsubishi would make an all electric evo that competes with Tesla for cheaper fun Or Mazda put their new turbo inline 6 into a two door supra competitor. Hey tfl I am very sure that Doge may have just made career suicide when it comes to ditching the V8. The reason is that cost to make these vehicles is really high and with having the trucks having the V8 engine out will cost these trucks to go much higher then what they are now, and if the new vehicles that they plan on making sunny sell different will be in very big trouble. Also with a brew engine/ drivetrain coming out there are bound to be lots of growing pains and recalls to get them to work perfect! What Dodge should have done is taken a page from Ford and added the turbocharged engines to there line up as well as hybrid and electric vehicles save then slowly discontinued the V8, but they went cold turkey and now i will say farewell to Dodge! ( if they can't sell enough it will be the pickup trucks trying to keep Dodge/ ram afloat)

The production line is too expensive to keep going at such low production numbers. They will want to change the line over to EV's. I'm sure. If they could have made the Camaro in Bowling Green it would still be in production.

Yes if Ford had a all wheel drive hybrid Maverick they would sell a lot of them, a lot of them why would you not build what we want!

When it come to the Camaro leaving the way it did, as much as I’m a ford guy, I hate the Mach-e carrying the mustang badge, Chevy is probably on the route of V8 or nothing for the Camro which is smart, I think I speak for the market on muscle cars, we don’t want evs, we don’t want hybrids, and we don’t want an suv version, muscle cars are V8s and V8s only, nobody liked the challenger EV, that was stupid, and nobody likes the Mach-e, not to mention they do more harm to the environment than any N/A V8 can do cats or no cats on it

1:19:53 Seems like that's the point. Why risk losing control of the narrative and image by letting individual videographers in? Why encourage larger and in-depth videos by having better wifi and allowing 1 on 1 time for each journalist, when a large group viewing with bad upload speed encourages only quick looks, topical video lengths of the eye catching features, and most likely resorting to the carefully curated talking points that the company just used in their presentation. Not to mention cheaper. It's a big advertisement for them. They know that they only need to give the important highlights to paint the image they want. And they know it's going to fall on the journalists to make their own content distinct from everyone else's in their own time to survive. They really just want these journalists' audiences. Seems to be the case for vehicles the company isn't confident will be a success, and they want to keep the narrative at face value and in control until production is in full swing and vehicles are already on their way to lots.

So noting that Audi is not an interesting design in the same breath you’re mentioning that Tesla is, is a head scratcher. I don’t know how to differentiate their jellybeans from one another and it’s taking me years to be able to figure out which one I’m looking at. A Y is just a vertically stretched 3 and a X has got some rooftop lines where the water gets in distinguishing it over the Y and the S looks like an overgrown three. You opt in but if Hyundai is tracking my driving to offer me insurance then you have better believe that every GM, Polestar, Volvo and Chinese vehicle running Android or Google is disseminating that information whether you like it or not and insurance providers are buying it whether you like it or not so they know exactly how rowdy you are when you drive. So no, you can’t have your privacy because you can’t stop them and don’t ever have to log in for them to data mine all of this information from acceleration, braking to adult beverage locations followed by drives home. Welcome to your vehicle OS. 😉 1:24:30

Both the new LC and the Ineos are too expensive. If the Ineos was the base C price, it would be worth it. The base LC is simply ridiculously priced for what you get. Cloth, manual seats and a 4 banger for $55k? Thanks but nope.

That "grocery getter" is just fine with me. I bought a '20 V6, AWD 2LT about a year ago, having been turned on by the styling. So far , ZERO issues and ZERO re-calls, Hyundai/Kia hold my beer. Even "Consumer Reports" has '20 and '21 on their short list of "BEST USED CARS TO BUY"! Also, for a "grocery getter" it's quite SNAPPY, 0-60 in 6.4sec (CR rating), allows me to get that ice cream home from Walmart BEFORE it melts! LOL

Audi looks even less exciting than a Honda Accord. They blend into the least exciting. Tesla are hands down some of the ugliest cars I've ever seen. Especially in the flat primer looking paint job. Everything electric is a FLOP for everyone including the environment.
