Should be interesting to see what price you'll get when all the 1 year old trucks come on to the market around the time you can sell.

Nathan, Tesla's powertrain is best not "tend to be" best; Nathan, as if traditional car's wipers clean 100% of the windshield; Nathan: oh it's really bad - referring to the panel gaps; Nathan is whining because CT drives like a truck; Nathan agrees the handling is fantastic, otherworldly, then flip the passenger visor and started complaining😂😂

At this point Evs are a pricy option to drive you around town. Until we get more power plants with cheaper prices for energy there not going to replace the ice vehicles.

It’s a prototype truck you can buy. It’s going to have issues. In the next few years it’s going to be a very nice truck.

30:40 - "This is the first vehicle with steer-by-wire". Umm, the 2014 Infiniti Q50 had steer-by-wire (as Roman mentions) - and it sold poorly. Not sure that Tesla can do better with a $100k statement piece

25:40 - showing off the Cybertruck's rear wheel steering just reminds me of Rich Rebuild's commentary on how the Cybertruck NEEDS the rear steering because it has the same turning circle as a early-2000's Chevy Suburban without it.

I really really want electric trucks to get there eventually but this just isn't it for 100k+ you should not have to do this level of excuse gymnastics to explain why all these short comings are ok. It can barely do actual truck functions, but it can commute in and go to groceries and the mall like most full size trucks on the road. But your own towing video showed not even getting 100miles, you guys were in the 80s if I remember. This truck is simply a test mule that you are paying for the privilege to test for Elons crappy vision and execution.

I once test drove a Model Y and came close to buying it but service was too far away. Recently I saw one and was going to ask the driver about his experience when I realized I didn’t care: I’d never buy a Tesla with Elon in charge. I worked for the 90s equivalent as an executive for Microsoft when Gatea was well in charge. We’d slave away and all the press would attribute every aspect of our work to Bill. Now he had a big influence and say of course. But unlike Elon, Bill went out of his way to hire the best and brightest and, occasionally, actually listen to us and let us execute. Now that’s a leader. Elon treats everyone (including employees) like lesser humans, and the result is: ta dah! Bad build quality. Read: employees aren’t executing because they work from fear not loyalty. That is why I won’t buy a Tesla.

The CyberTruck was designed for the side mirrors to be removed. They are there because of vehicle laws. It has cameras for this purpose.

Like the Edsel the Cyber Truck is a vehicle before its time. In fact I don’t think they’ll ever be a time for the cyber truck except maybe in the 22nd century. In spite of Roman’s assertions this is not a practical vehicle. It’s strictly a novelty that can do a few parlor tricks. The end.

I like Teslas, but sometimes they get carried away with silly stuff. The back doors on a model X are an unnecessary problem. Turn signal buttons are not better than a stalk, just different. The entire Cybertruck was compromised by the design and material choices. I am with team Nathan on the Cybertruck.

The only thing I wouldn't like about it is the steer by wire, what if it tears up going down the road, then what?! You know it will tear up one day and if you're on the road when it happens how would you steer it? If I owned one I couldn't drive it because I would be too worried about that all the time driving it.

They look cool, but after nearly 5 years in development and production prep, all those quality and fitment issues are completely unacceptable. Hopefully Tesla can turn that around because it's an otherwise clever design.

So, I have zero issues with electric vehicles. I do not own but but I think they are actually cool so my issues aren't with that aspect. My issues here are, why on earth would any self respecting CEO allow a product to go out with quality issues such as Tesla? Any other auto manufacturer who had panel issues, issues with the doors not opening or tire covers that eat the tires would be crucified. This is inexcusable because "Oh it's a Tesla, this is what you expect." No..... It's $100k+. Imagine buying a Porsche and just accepting the fact that the trunk or doors refused to open periodically. Not to mention, a digital rearview mirror is fine and dandy as long as the camera is in a spot that doesn't get covered in road grime constantly. Why would they not fit a spray nozzle to it?

Not used to your videos being so long, I dosed off at some point after your started driving it and woke up at the end lol. Missed about 20 minutes I think. I don't mind standing out with my vehicles, I have had a bright yellow Super Bee, and any time I stop to charge my Harley Livewire I always end up getting approached from people. I don't think I would buy a Cybertruck though. I would love to see one in person and maybe test drive one but I don't think I would want to own one. I would rather spend the money on any of the other electric trucks to be honest.

The problem with the high air suspension is that it makes the truck completely inflexible and thus zero articulation when off-roading. Compare to the setup on the Rivian and how they got around this.

Chevrolet Silverado EV has 10 degree in the rear steer. The cybertruck originally was 3 degrees and maybe went to 7 degrees with a promise to 10.

12.5 FSD will include HW4 so Cybertruck Emulated HW3 ok for Y but too slow for truck. 12.4 is in early release so likely August some time Tesla has been quite upfront on this
