These are my new favorite cycling shoes

Спорт

I just got some new cycling shoes to replace my worn DZR JetLag Neros. I replaced them with a pair of Southside 3.0 Pro Sneakers.

I'm about to take the plunge to clipless with some dual pedals, platform one side and SPD on the other. Heavily considering this company for my first pair of kicks. Thanks for the review.

I will definitely check these out. I've pretty much given up of cycling shoes, and just use Vans and flat pedals.

The Adidas Velosamba's have been working well for me. They do run narrow but it's personally not a problem for me.

I heard it lacks any sort of ventilation, so it's very for it to become hot?

..i‘ve got the giro rumble vr in red on sale and i love it, it comes with a vibram sole and it‘s grippy enough to not fall down on groads & trails…

I had my eyes on the Kursk pro, but those look good as well!

Stoked on your joy. These look good. How is stiffness on the sole?

So far I've been a fan of the Adidas Velosamba, they're a little narrow, but they're otherwise comfortable and don't look like a cycling shoe. Plus they don't feel too stiff when just walking around

I don’t have that shoe, but I’ve had other Chrome shoes and they all did well for me.

I am currently wearing Adidas Velosamba, as others have mentioned they could be narrow, also not a problem for me. Not too stiff but stiff enough that I find my socks being pulled down into the shoe when I walk which could be a sizing thing. I have the white ones with the gum sole (love a gum sole) and blue and orange stripes. The material on the toe really picks up dirt though and cannot be cleaned so that is a bummer. Also they advertise they are made out of recycled materials and with a modest sale with adidas you can find them for under $100

Only clipless shoes that work for me are Sidi Megas (I have 4E width feet!) The plastic soles on them are not designed for walking on pavement and wear quickly. These cost over $250. For commuting and errand running I end up changing into a pair of slip on mocs when I get to my destination. A total PIA but only other option is flat pedals.

Shimano SH-MT52's are the best all around shoe I've owned. They're durable, lightweight, easy to walk in, sufficiently stiff for riding and they look pretty good for a cycling shoe. They've been discontinued, but still pop up on eBay all the time. Oh plus they have laces and a Velcro strap so you get all of the annoyances of cycling in laces combined with the goofy look of a big Velcro strap ;)

so after some time in use, are they still fine for you or had it give some things what are not more so good in your eyes ?

Shoe cousins! These are great but oh boy do they like to soak up water.

Unfortunately, 99% of biking shoes are way too narrow. I wish Altra would make a bike shoe! Thanks!

Those shoes do look well for street, and I guess they would do okay for dry gravel too. But if it gets muddy, definitely not the ideal shoe.

Agreed. Street style shoes get wet, get heavy, and take ages to dry. Something synthetic, like a Shimano ME7, is a lot more practical if you ride in the rain.
