Nike SuperRep Cycle Review (they are bad and here's what's better)
The Nike SuperRep cycle (spin) shoes look awesome, but they are actually really bad for intensive spin classes and hard core indoor cycling. In this video, I break down why they are bad, and suggest a few alternatives that I personally like, explaining in detail what to look for and how to get the best shoe and cycling insoles for your needs.

Great review. You confirmed exactly what I thought about the Nike sole when I saw a picture of it online. I agree, having a solid platform is so important to comfort, longevity, and power generation when cycling. Nike should probably get feedback from cycling athletes when designing cycling shoes, the way they do for other sports.
I use them outdoors only and I do challenging rides. Avg pace 20 MPH over 20+ miles. I haven't had a problem yet.
I was excited getting the super rep 2, especially on sale for 80$/€ but all you say makes sense unlike those reviewers who seem to be super hyped about nothing. Thanks!

Good review! I started to notice the plastic base begin to fatigue in them after only a few rides, will be returning & getting a shoe that's a lot more stiff.
I'm at a 300 rides with the Nike SuperRep Cycle 2 and they feel great.
oh no :( I just bought these in pink..... I had a bad feeling about them but they are so cute... now i need to return them lol Please do a video recommending your top 5 favorite cycling shoes. I have had such a hard time with shoes.
Picked up a pair on sale for 40 bucks at an outlet so these are fine for me haha. if you're an average/ novice intermediate rider you will be fine. I even use them outdoors and they are fine. don't over think it

@@matthewrideout2677 Bro they are not that bad relax lol... This is coming from someone who rides with Sidi carbons and Rapha Pro's lmao I needed a pair for a weekend ride and forgot my shoes. Stopped by a nike outlet to pick up a few joggers and saw these. Can't beat the sale price. $40?! C'mon bro. I've easily done about 50 mi peloton/ 50 on my Cinelli. they are super comfortable and even more breathable than my daily's. I'm just using them until i break them so I don't wear down my expensive pairs lol.

Well I greatly appreciate it. I just purchased the Nike's, looks like I will be sending them back. Im still in the process of therapy from a knee surgery but I have been cleared to do straightforward exercises, can't afford anymore Injuries.

Good idea. I'd definitely recommend visiting a cycle shop that carries a lot of shoes so you can test them out and potentially find a good footbed at an athlete shoe store.
Um bom bike fit arruma essas tensões e formigamentos. É preciso saber o lugar certo de colocar os tanquinhos. Eu tenho uma e respira muito bem. Huumm, ele quebrou a sapatilha pra dizer que não funciona? Discordo de tudo. Tenho, uso e é perfeita pra mim.
did you shoes had all spd clips/details for installation?
I have all of those problems that you mentioned and I have only used the shoes for two day ….. done.
I just bought the nike becauseee they were on sale, damn:(( havent worn them yet but now im bummed. Its so hard finding shoes since i have wide feet 😢
3:43 aight that's gonna be a NO from me, Nike! Thanks for the vid, was considering these because they were so cheap and they honestly look great.... but i'll stick with my old Shimanos for now.
Velcro fastenings are poor and have failed/unpeeled. A pair of Shimanos would be a far better investment.
I roll at 28-32km/hr and do 30-50km each ride with them outdoor and they are great. Funny to see the indoor cyclist returning such a good pair of shoes because of a review from someone who most hasn't even tried them on. 😂
