This younger generation hasn't learned any interpersonal skills, mainly because they've had a tablet and/or a phone, shoved in front of them since they could sit up! They don't talk to or see each other (outside of school, I suppose) because everything happens via text. And even then, they don't know how to spell, write out full words and sentences or how to use punctuation. I saw a Reel on Instagram a day or two ago and I have no idea how true it is but sadly, these days, I wouldn't doubt that it is. A woman was saying that her sister is a partner in a law firm in Boston (I think) and they had an open position for a clerk or something that they were interviewing for. They'd called five or six potential candidates to come in and they all showed up, but... the lawyers were aghast when they saw that 2 of them had brought their mothers with them! And the moms weren't just there just to sit in the car or the waiting room because the kid needed a ride. Nope. Both of these moms came right into the interview room and sat down next to their kids!! The Reel ended and she didn't go into what happened from that point, or how they handled it, but I was floored! With everything else that's going on in the world today, there's not a lot that really shocks me anymore, but this is just insane!! 🫢🫣

A while back, I read a book about the Hanoi Hilton POW facility in Vietnam during that war. There was one of the American POWs who decided to start acting crazy to see how the Vietnamese guards would treat him. His cellmates said over time, his faking ended up turning real. The guy faked himself right into an extreme mental illness and went totally crazy after several weeks. The guards ended up taking him away as he was irritating his own cellmates and causing problems. The other POWs never heard from him again. There's a real danger in acting crazy. Eventually, you just may turn actually insane.

So as bad as it was, these poor people were now on the streets with zero care and zero meds- which was a much worse scenario for them and us- and nothing has been done about it since.

An honest question. If a person identifies as a dog and is playing in their yard. A child goes by and laughs at the "DOG" and the "DOG" person attacks the child, say punches, kicks or even bite the child. What happens when a real dog attacks a child? It is put to sleep with-in days. If we have to accept that they are a dog, you give up on your human right. What about a "Deerkin"? If a "Deerkin" is running around in a woodland when deer season and god forbid a hunter shoots. No charges should be brought. He shot a deer.

But by the time I was 11 years old I had definitely grown out of it. Now I don't know if some of these people just never grew out of that phase of their life or did they pick this up as an adult... But it's obvious that if you are a grown up and you are pretending to be a bird or a puppy dog or a kitty cat there is definitely something wrong upstairs. These are definitely people with mental disorders and they need help. So we need to treat this as it is a mental disorder and not affirm this type of behavior as normal.

Gotta be honest. Growing up in the 80s, the social pressure wasn't really to succeed in school, ace your math tests and get into a good college. It was about being one of the cool kids, usually involving smoking something or committing a low level crime. If I have to choose between kids smoking PCP in the park, then breaking into my shed and stealing my hedge trimmers, and some girl walking around with fox ears doing the weird sideways peace sign, I'll take the latter every day.

Watching that lady at the beginning and thinking that she should be inventing something if she hadn’t wasted her mind. She’s articulate which usually denotes some intelligence. She could have designed a better quality toilet paper or something and instead she’s wasting her life on this. With todays culture I am increasingly aware of the terms “opportunity cost”

I told my wife that millions of nerd guys beat off to girls that wear that and there is something creepy having little kids dressed that way.

Animals with no concerns just sit around, because they're not smart enough to think of insane things to do. It’s utterly pathetic and there is only one solution.

Okay, I'm 35. I'm unashamedly a nerd. I recently got introduced into D&D from a trans friend. I didn't think I would like it but I gave it a shot and I found it very engaging and strategy oriented. I think engaging in these types of things helps to stimulate the minds of creative people. For instance I'm also currently trying to work on a series of novels, (yes I'm basically Brian Griffin). However, I think Chris, there is a major difference in having fun and pretending as an adult for a creative session or role-playing senerio and actually believing at the end of the day that I am a Dwarven Captain of the Guard, a werewolf at will, and a navel captain named Aair. But I've had this conversation recently with my trans friend, and kinda to my surprise, even he thinks that all these made up genders and behavioral personality traits have gone too far. You know it's getting iNsAnE when even the Trans Community is like: hold up.

this is a result of humans' propensity for, and desire for comfort/safety. we are here because, almost all of our endeavors are intended to relieve us of the pressure of our environment and the struggle for basic survival. no amount of shaming or societal pressure will fix this. the fixing of this starts with every individual reordering their perception of life, and understanding that, the harder path is the more rewarding path. as long as we keep using our intellect and ingenuity to keep making life easier? 100's of thousands of years of evolution will drive us to fabricate stressors to deal with what our minds and bodies evolved to handle. we take those stressors away from the environment we live in, with technology. all the while our subconscious minds create it through mental dysfunction, and radical behaviours. it is truly manifest destiny...and we are completely unaware that we are doing this to ourselves.

So glad that rather than fitting in i have always wanted to stand out in the crowd. All of ths nonsense is so pronounced because the idea of being mindful of peoples feelings has become so important that we cant even tell jokes. It really isnt good, because if a person isnt aware of their shortcomings how can they ever work on them and overcome them. I used to think my parents were mean jerks because they were so strict and i got whippings. Well now at 65, i realize my parents were not mean, they just loved me and wanted to teach me that there r outcomes for my actions. Fear of that whipping kept me from doing a lot of things. Results, i think before i act and understand there is no "free ride." The "free ride" requires u give up something, sometimes even ur own free will.
