Edit: Sense so many people are bringing this up I thought I’d address it. I’m not saying history isn’t important. It’s very important, and without it we wouldn’t be where we are today. However, in the context of an argument, I think it’s dumb to go, “well you did this in your past so hah”. I may not have worded it so well but that’s what I meant.

However, given his hatred of POC, I’d say he would probably be against the Black Lives Matter movement, and would be against raising awareness for the poor treatment of Native people. So yes, he was not quite a model democrat😅

Critical thinking takes a lot of energy and most poor people don't have the money to afford nutritious food to support such faculties. Even if you have money, finding good food is hard in the US. Do people even consider that or repeat the same useless "advice" to just think critically. The great thing about politics in my opinion is that we should have an open dialogue and critique each policy, not argue. I’m on the Conservative side, but it doesn’t mean I shouldn’t listen to opposing opinions because they’re all valid in discussion. Also can we all just appreciate that this video uses factual information and lacks bias, therefore including both sides of the argument.

I personally am a liberal, and I understand why we’re so hated by the other side. I believe that your beliefs should still be supported, whether I disagree or not.

It doesn't matter which side you are on, you are a great person in most every way. A lot of people see politics and world leaders in different ways. I seem to be the only person in existence who supported the decisions of the president before they blew up. Anyway, all presidents are good in some ways, and bad in other ways. Both sides should be respected honestly. I won't get angry at you if you are conservative as long as you can agree with some of the things I say about politics. I might as well be a voice for leftists who are believed to not exist. We exist, and we are proud to be Americans.

learning to think for yourself really is a breath of fresh air. the only political stance I have is despising how badly the ccp treats their citizens but that's a no brainer.

What I don't understand is the extreme identity politics. I'm a liberal but find myself agreeing with conservatives on certain issues or circumstances. That doesn't mean I'm not a liberal it just means I'm open to both sides (and just so happen to agree with liberals more). Politics is too linear here. It's like if your party says it you have to agree or your not a real liberal/republican. People should stand by their beliefs but be open to others too and not mindlessly pledge eternal allegiance to any one party

People apparently are mad because they didn’t talk about the middle? I don’t even get it, the video’s not about the middle. It’s about the one side or the other. It’s good that you’re in the middle but it’s such a rare belief, it’s hard to do studies on that, plus it’s easier to test for things when studying between two extremes. I guess people just feel better about themselves when they’re different and don’t find themselves on either side.

Every one is a mix of liberal and conservative on different issues. Be an independent thinker.

A good majority of people would agree with you. It doesn't seem to be a very independent thought. But I don't see anyone talking about how this was just an experiment to see the effect of political views on the brain!! You get clearer results when comparing the brains of more extreme liberal and conservative people. There's no need to include people that are more centrist or mixed in their ideologies, that would just complicate things.

@zadose some of it was wrong for me. I prefer mixed breed dogs over pure breeds because they are more healthy than pure breed dogs. I also happen to enjoy food from other cultures, such as food from Ireland, Germany, and Scotland. And my room is very messy even though I'm a conservative.

It really shouldn't have pissed anybody off imo. It was unbiased and supported by science, which they linked in the description. It's observations, not opinions. I don't think there were any traits that were inherently bad for either side, so...

A one party system would be broken. One party having the controlling power in all 3 branches of government does not make it one party. They just did a better job or convinced the most people they do a better job. A deep state using government power for political purposes like spying on opponents is corruption at the highest levels.
