Wow, wow, wow, I'd forgotten how amazing Eddie Holman's voice was. I remeber listening to this as a kid, one of my older sisters was obsessed with male falsetto voices in the 70's, so I loved this and the Sylistics, The Bee Gees, Frankley Valli and The Four Seasons, Leo Sayer, Earth Wind & Fire and The Temptations, they were all so good.

And this man is still performing today! Sounds just the same!! 💕 Eddie Holman!
Eddie Holman's vocal range is that of a countertenor. Countertenors are often used in operas. Mr. Holman has a clean, controlled voice that serves this song well.
The surprising thing about this song is that it's the only one on that album that Eddie sang in falsetto. The rest of the album he utilizes his natural tenor voice. And when he appeared on a PBS special over 35 years later, and sang the song just like the day he recorded it, he got ecstatic standing ovations.
Ambers smile is so captivating 😍 ❣️ 😍

Blue Magic and the Moments
This song was Eddie Holman's biggest r&b crossover hit ever!!! The song peaked at the #2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and it peaked at the #4 spot on the Billboard Soul chart during the late summer of 1969. Eddie Holman is a underrated r&b singer indeed with this beautiful song.
This song was all over the radio back in the day. It still amazes me that he is singing in a higher register than the females in the back up group. Great voice.

The live version he does of this on a PBS special a decade or so ago is by far the best version of this. The crowd is really getting into it and he really lays into the falsetto runs. It's here on youtube.
