Your reaction was spot on. I just want to share one thing about Natalie's reaction. After he guessed another woman's name he followed it with "That's who I was hoping for." I think it was that line that made her react like that.

Well also the “what are you wearing” which can be a pretty flirtatious question and one he asked Shayna a lot and had never asked Natalie. So he mistook her for someone else, said that’s who he was hoping for, and flirted in a way he’d never done with her before. I do wish Jono watched a bit more cause it’s sad his commentary misses on these context details. Like with the Bachelorette reaction he did. He was missing some scenes and context leading to him defending Shanea who was actually the instigator, making things up to sabotage someone she was threatened by, accusing this woman of faking ADHD, and other horrible shit in just that episode alone.

You're missing a lot of context here. The previous time they talked in the pods, he told Natalie he wanted to be exclusive and exclusively talk to her and they were essentially boyfriend and girlfriend. And then after he guessed the incorrect name of a different girl (after telling her he wasn't meeting with the other girls, essentially) he then says "oh good, it's who I wanted." So that's where she's getting the idea of him liking Shaina more than her. It's not contrived and there was actual cause for that thought.

Just finished Love is Blind: Japan, and it definitely has a different vibe. Not just culture wise but also how they took the time to explore the relationships formed in the show, not just with the couples but with the other participants.

**Spoilers** LIB:Japan they actually were allowed to leave or at least didn’t feel obligated to stay until the wedding day to tell the other person no, it didn’t feel as pressuring though I’m sure it still was but I think Americans have a mentality like “im not a quitter, I gotta Make It work, gotta see it through to the end” even if it does traumatize them more.

@@dezthedangerous2452 I too am a fan of the japanese version, my guess is that it all has to do with the team behind each production. The american production team seems to have focused on casting "drama" personalities, as well as on creating drama situations. And also my guess is that the american version's contracts forced them to stay all the way up to the altar, or incentivized it. OR many of them did it to stay on screen longer and get more social media following.

@@alejandracardenaspalacios1910 yeah. American reality TV shows are very much so edited and dramatized and the people they pick are very specific to stir up drama. They are about entertainment first, and there is nothing more interesting or click worthy than messy couples. But more and more people are getting sick of the same Hollywood formula and looking to other country's media for a relief if you will.

It's actually because the women all live together in a dorm and have conversations about who they're into. So, she knew they were connecting. Then when she told him to guess he said "Shaina? I feel like this analysis would have been a lot better if he had more context and understanding of the show. For example, Natalie knows that he has strong feelings for Shaina (who he mistook her for) because all of the women on this show live together dorm style. That being said, comparing him to Gaston is brilliant lol. The show is ridiculous but addictive to watch. If y'all want a more in depth breakdown of this show, Dr. Kirk on Psychologist in Seattle goes episode by episode and covers all of the relationships.

Yep, the context is important. Also, he did say "that's who I was hoping for" when he guessed he was talking to Shaina so even in this brief interaction, I think it is understandable for Natalie to be like ....huh, clearly you have strong feelings for Shaina that you haven't been transparent about 🤷🏼🤷🏼

This is actually perfect for me. Seeing you sort of reacting how one should react to this kind of thing.

You need to make commentary through the whole show. "he is throwing a tantrum" 🤣 yessssss!! So freaking true. Watching this show that's how I felt the whole time. Can you do a reaction to Shake, please!

So, I see things about people that my friends and family don't. I watched Love in Blind when it first came out because I knew the kind of show it was and wanted to make my own observations before KZread did. It's people like you, you wonderful therapist you, that make me feel like I'm NOT crazy for seeing personality traits that others don't. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I could never watch this type of show because it just infuriates me, but watching you watching it and being as annoyed as I would be, is somehow enjoyable. XD

I've watched seasons one and two and this "relationship" with Shane and Natalie was so weird. I love hearing your perspective on it and I would love to see your reaction to Shanna and the series as a whole! Thank you!!
