Thelma and Louise is such an iconic movie. Great script, score and acting. It's also one of the most beautifully shot movies ever.. incredible cinematography.

That part of Utah where they filmed the car going over the cliff is breathtakingly beautiful. It was filmed in Dead Horse Canyon State park. I have been to the exact place the car went over. If I remember correctly there were a couple of Internet articles that said the car is no longer down in the ravine. And we never were able to see anything down there either.

Thelma & Louise? ICONIC. One of THE BEST female buddy films EVER MADE. I've NEVER seen two actresses with finer chemistry than Sarandon & Davis had in that film. You honestly believe these two women are real and have been friends since birth. They were SEAMLESS together. NO ONE else could have played these roles. PURE BRILLIANCE. Thelma & Louise is cultural zeitgeist at it's finest.

My buddy and I (straight) jumped in his convertible 68 Mustang after this movie and I said, "I'm Thelma," and he said, "I'm Louise." And we peeled out of the parking lot. First time that ever happened.

She is fantastic in everything she does, but I really love her in Bull Durham.

I was in Hell Hole, California on a 100 degree day. I went to a movie theatre just to get out of the heat. I didn't care what movie I saw. I figured this movie was gonna suck. Man was I wrong! Stayed to watch it twice. Fell in Love with Geena Davis. One of my favorite movies ever to this day. Glad to see both of these gorgeous women still radiant! Thelma and Louise forever!

Brad Pitt was so lucky to act out the scene with Genna Davis, if he hadn't took the money, he could've been a hero

I love the fact that both Susan and Geena agree it would be fun to walk into the T&L gift shop together and surprise fans on the anniversary of their movie 🤩

I've seen Thelma and Louise for the first time this year and I had never felt this empowered and free watching a movie before. It's so powerful. It's one of my favorites now. ❤️

She does look like an older woman, but healthy, strong and beautiful. Not like some celebrities who might be wrinkle-free at 70, but they look like a caricature of their former selves. Susan Sarandon is a really great role model, regarding a lot of things, graceful aging is one of them.

kaatyblue Gyna Looks Healthy, She Just Doesn't Look Like A Supermodel with no body fat. She has been out of acting for a while, give or take a few projects, coz she has her own compagny , wich she already explained. But Susan has always looked very thin. She only aged a little, besides that she looks almost the same. Clean and healthy lifestyle maybe, allthough she liked her weed, lol. I saw Gloria Steinem on Chelsea, also a femenist activist, writer etc. She is on her 80s and still looked very stylish. Her face did look older, thinner Esp, but besides that., wow. BUR even Betty White is still acting, she is on her 90s. So never underestimate a strong woman. Like Beyoncé now.....

This was my Mom's favorite movie, and she would drive me crazy, when she would ask me if I thought they were going to do a Part 2, I would ask her, " Didnt you just see the car go off the cliff?" Im going to say NO... and she would have all these different reasons why they could do a part 2,because she loved the movie so much, i.e when they drive off the cliff, they are dreaming, Not gonna happen Mom, what about they land on something that cushions their landing, NO mom, not going to happen, well, she said, They arent dead to me, and walked off in a huff.I can quote the lines in the movie, I watched it so much with her, she is now gone, but this movie was no only good, but reminds me of good times with my mom.

This is one of the best movies ever made. I could watch it 1,000 times and not get bored. Susan and Geena are magic.

My mama showed me this film as a child. She never owned films, but she owned this. It has stayed with me ever since, including the haunting, beautiful score. These women are amazing, talented, beautiful. A timeless film about leaving behind the unsatisfying material world and moving inward toward your essential destiny.

The writer , director , all the actors are amazing. I can sum it up as this was a masterpiece 👍

My mom loves this movie so much that she had me watch it not long after it hit video rental places, I was like 11 or 12 and way too young for it. But then again... the themes in it are so important and good for young people to see. It has affected me throughout my life, I watch it somewhat frequently and laugh and cry every time.

I’m a low key film and music snob. And I went through a marathon of films from 1990-1992. This was definitely on the list. Good film. And Geena Davis was to die for.

My Favourite movie,I still think it is relevant today as when It was written,I have seen it possible 20 times,and always cry,as both the woman in the movie were victims of male violence,but the story telling,with humor,is still just brilliant.

After my wife died at 30 from brain cancer, I asked my MIL, who I loved more than my own mommy dearest, if she'd like to do a Thelma and Louise with me. We were at the top of a hill at a stop sign in Seattle. I told her I could floor it and we'd end up in Puget sound. She chickened out at the last minute. I was so ready. On her deathbed, she told me she should have taken me up on my offer. Lol! Miss that old dame so much. T&L is one of the best movies ever!

I love this movie,I saw it when I was a kid,then had to rewatch it as an adult. It was a great movie. The soundtrack and scenery was beutiful.

Susan Sarandon & Geena Davis! Both oscar winners! This movie was great! I miss 1990s and they had some good movies! I miss the old days when movies were awesome and everything is shit!

The movie came out in 1991. There's no way that interviewer saw it then. I think she misspoke, and meant that she remembers when she first saw it. --- I saw it when it was first released in theatres. I was in my early 20s. The thing that impressed me the most, at the time, apart from the story, was the soundtrack. It was the first movie soundtrack that I ever bought, apart from a movie musical, and I still play it, to this day. Especially on long trips. I played it when driving from Chicago to Seattle. --- The ending is triumphant. They go out on their own terms. You feel sad that they were forced into that, but you also feel glad that they don't get forced into life in prison. --- The two lead performances are stunning. The only things that come close are the two leads in the Miracle Worker, and the two leads in Copycat (also a female buddy movie). See those films, if you haven't. I think it's time that I watched Thelma and Louise again.

I'm a very big fan of both of yours, as well as the movie Thelma and Louise! The part in the movie you're talking about (at around 3:30) is one of my favorite scenes! With the music playing in the background and the camera going back and forth between you... at one point the two of you smile! Whenever I watch the movie, I wonder if the smiling part was part of the script or you just couldn't jeep a straight face any longer ha ha ha! You seem to get along very well! Very natural like you've been friends your whole life! I often wonder while watching the movie if you're friends?
