You can't scrub Vince McMahon from the history of WWE. Beniot was not synonymous with the brand like McMahon, and although loved by hardcore fans, he was never near the level of Hogan, Austin, The Rock, or even Shawn Michaels or Brett Hart. This will permanently taint the brand. And although I grew up a wrestling fan, I'm not sure that's a bad thing at this point. How many of our favorite wrestlers growing up kept a lid on this?

Even non-fans know who he is. When people think of WWE they will think of him for many many years to come. What I'm saying is they can scrub his name from the programming, but not from the memory of the public.

It can taint the era, but it shouldnt taint the CURRENT brand. The culture, consideration, and level of concern seems much different now than it was then, and that should count for something. There is a difference in what was done under VMK's control, and what is done now under different people. While looking into the past is needed and should be done, doing so without regard for those currently earning a living and making a name for themselves in proper ways should also not be ignored or tainted.

They could add a disclaimer to the beginning of all episodes of WWE programs that feature Vince, but even that would take ages and just isn't feasible. He's been on all kinds of WWE shows and PPV's going back to the early 70's when it was the WWWF.

They risk theirs lives, sacrifice their bodies, leave their families and many have nothing in the end except broken bodies and empty pockets. This story is horrible and the one good thing about social media is the ‘little guy/woman’ final has a chance against the rich powerful man.
