“Because if she cries then she cries.” Leaving your kid in a dark room alone like that as a ‘punishment’, hearing they yell and scream, and say, ‘don’t leave me!!’, never do that. It just affects them in the future with abandonment issues. As a person that went through something similar at my Dad’s house, can say it definitely affected me in the future with severe ptsd.

I genuinely started crying watching this. How do these parents do things like this?? Especially that girl locked in the room… I remember when I was around 5-6 years old, I threw a fit and my mom locked me in the dark storage room. It was one of the most horrifying experience of my life (thankfully my mom realised this and never did it again). My heart goes out to these poor kids.

These "pageants" need to be stopped. I find it appalling that these women subject their own children to this. They are being subjected to things no child should ever endure. I'm not a parent but I am going to be one in the future as I would love a family of my own. If I have a daughter, I'm going to tell her that she's beautiful and that she can be herself, no matter what and I would encourage herself to embrace her natural beauty and never change for anyone. I can't imagine subjecting a child to this. This is abusive and it destroys the little girls' self esteem. These mothers are borderline narcissists and don't see anything wrong with the way they treat their babies. "I'm not wrong in treating my child like a dress up doll and forcing her to endure this torture. As long as I get the prize money, I'll continue to use her". Disgusting.

the practice room one was so sad. she was crying so hard being locked up alone in that room. her mom just said “i’m sorry.” a few times then continued to hold the door shut and ignore her crying child. A parent shouldn’t do that to her little child. She wanted her mom so bad that she even put her fingers under the door. this must’ve been traumatising for that little girl and i really hope that the mom realises what she was doing to that poor child.

This show is a great example on how not to raise a kid.

It's hard to have a toddler do this. In my family, we were playing with shapes and learning how to spell words and getting dirty outside. As kids, give us a box of chalk or some modeling dough and we'd show you a great time. As a teenager, I did stupid stuff like other teens. However I didn't get a girl pregnant or arrested but I have fallen down a steep hill and hit my forehead on the door. Now as an adult, I I realize how lucky I was to be a nerd! And the six inch scar on my abdomen reminds me of how grateful I am to even be alive.

That first mom is literally THE definition of a Karen.

This is child exploitation, abuse and every parent that has ever forced their baby into these ridiculous paegents should be utterly ashamed. I am Scottish, (British for those who don’t know Scotland is a part of the UK) and I showed this to my mother. She could not believe what she was seeing. I'm with the parent at 2:45. I believe she also gave her child good advice at 3:23. She didn't throw insults, she just pointed out that "This wasn't the way a gentlemen acts like". I'm sorry that the kids had to hear that mom swearing her head off and then saying "He can say whatever he wants to say". That's sure teaching your kids the proper way to act! This is ridiculous! The parents are acting worse than the kids!

jas rose they say this is what the child wants but you can see the look in the poor childs eyes, they dont want to do it its all for their parents (usually the mum) Most pagent mums have been a 'beauty queen' when they were younger and just want to relive their old days. Their outfits and dancemoves are so inapropriate especially for 10 and under!

Actually, the kids have to deal with parents yelling the whole place and having to compete in competitions, as TODDLERS, LITERAL TODDLERS, they are screaming swear words and it affects the child themselves, when they grow they could have trauma because of this

2:20 imagine being tired, having the responsibility of making you and your parent “look good”, being told you’re embarrassing for acting like a toddler, and then being thrown into a room for it that girl was so done. all she wanted to do was go home. all she felt was frustration and confusion and then fear in that room. look at the way her hands went under the door, all she wanted was to be let out. i would scream too.

Kid: cry’s when someone says are you beautiful Camera guy: *this is fine*

“ Go outside where the babies go,” She...she *is* the baby.
