I must admit working in the tower made me have a soft spot for it. The view from the tower itself is really great. The worse thing about the tower is not the look but the lack of maintenance… The sorry state of the interior, some windows are broken and not even replaced, the tower is always halfway empty. The hall is clean and the lifts are nice but some floors are just creepy. The big problem is the “mall” that was constructed at the base of the tower at the same time. Ugly, weird layout, lack of maintenance and now lays vacant. I don’t know what they plan to do in its place.

I agree with Guy de Maupassant. I lived in Paris for 10 years (a long time ago) and had a view of the peak of the Eiffel Tower from my bedroom window. Whenever friends came to visit for a weekend and expected a sightseeing tour, I took them on a route I'd spent a long time designing to avoid seeing the tower as much as possible. (Thankfully I couldn't see the Montparnasse tower from my place but it was always a great landmark if I ever got lost in the city (not generally an easy thing to do) to establish the way home (I lived about 3 blocks from it)

It’s a Californian building the legends tower, not a Oklahoman, the reason he chose OKC over cali tho is because the unbelievable potential OKC has to be a big city I also doubt okies will hate it once it’s built, because 1, it adds so much more to the city, two, it will bring far more tourism which will lead to investors and companies building more towers next to the legends tower for easy recognition, and 3, it will expand the already fast growth rate of OKC. And could potentially lead to OKC getting a population of 980k just 10 years after its construction. The difference between this tower and the legends tower is that this actually ruins the skyline, the legends tower will improve it, and make it kinda look like Dubai, the second tallest building in OKC is half its height so it’s not as drastic of a height difference as this compared to france

As an Englishman, I went to Paris last December and I actually really liked the placement and look of the tower. I think it genuinely adds to the Parisian skyline and compliments the whole city very well. The view from the top is genuinely astounding and by far the best I’ve ever seen. The Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, La Defense, Sacre-Cœur, Montparnasse Cemetery etc. all looked brilliant from the top. The only downside to the views from the top are the smoke stacks pouring out of what I’m pretty sure is the east side of Paris, around Creteil. Overall, Paris was a much nicer experience than I initially thought it was going to be, and I had no bad experiences with locals.

And I linked him 5 or 6 articles of Iraqi dignitaries, their Vice PM (I guess there PM was not well liked by Obama, so the Iraqi's kept him home), their civilian head of defense, and many of their top generals all asking for Obama to send more troops month after month until he finally caved. However, he then referred to it as the most hated by locals, which would be a more accurate and logical assumption. If I were to go outside and ask anyone on the street about the world’s most hated skyscraper, I bet my bottom dollar I wouldn’t get a single answer hinting at that building. Heck, if I went on a national TV station and started a survey asking this very question, I’d bet my life savings, my wife and kids, and even my dog, that I wouldn’t find more than a handful of people mentioning that beast in Paris. And most of those handful would probably have watched this exact video on KZread. But hey, what do I know? I’m an ignoramus New Yorker Manhattanus, living surrounded by skyscrapers. It was scheduled to be torn down and sold for scraps 20 years after the 1900 World's Fair but Gustave Eiffel had the brilliant idea to install a radio antenna and a wireless telegraph transmitter at its top so the military found it really useful and pressured city officials into keeping it. At the time, it was the highest man-made structure in the world.
