Very good video, but I am sorry that I have to be a smartass: You made a mistake with the Willis Tower. It is 442 to the rooftop, but including the Antennas, it is over 500 meters tall. But you rendered it as being 442 to the top of the Antennas, which is wrong. Apart from that, amazing video!

Well, technically antennae do not count towards official building height, but spires do as long as they do not exceeded 50% of the building's height. This is from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. (Yes, it's an official organization.) The question as actually gotten so controversial, that they now use 3 methods of measuring building height. 1. Architectural Height, which includes spires, but not antennae as the latter are typically not part of the official structure. (The one I just mentioned earlier, and the one that I personally use.) 2. Height to tip, which includes both. (This one's fair IMHO. I typically 3. Highest occupied floor, which is pretty self-explanatory, but it measures up until the floor-level of the highest occupiable floor of the building. (I personally hate this one. It should be to the highest roof, not floor. If it's to the highest floor, then many tall 1 story buildings suddenly lose like all of their height.)

Buildings that need to have a spire to surpass another building is cheap eg Petronas > Sears Tower, Merdeka > Shanghai Tower, One World Trade> Zun. The CTBUH should exclude spires if the other building has a higher habitable floor. Or just put spired buildings in a different category like towers ie they can’t be in the category of overall tallest building

They called it a spire, not antenna. But I agree, it looks like one .that is how the petronas towers took the title from the willis tower for worlds tallest back in 96.

The Petronas and Burj al khalifa are the best designs for me, what about yours ?

Обслуживание всего домика стоит от 1 до нескольких миллионов В ДЕНЬ! Хотя в США есть жилые небоскрёбы.

Eastern people are more of a show-off than westerners. It is usually way cheaper to just build several 200-300m tall skyscrapers than to make a 700m tall gigantic structure, that needs to move tonnes of materials high into sky with minimal impact on actually usable floor space.

Where is the CN Tower in Toronto, Ontario Canada? It is 1815 feet(553) meters. It has been standing and open to the public for approximately 45 years now, way ahead of its time.

Everyone knows that. Shanghai tower is actually tallest if we don't count that antenna style structure from burn khalifa. Shanghai tower has no such antennas that includes many other Chinese skyscrapers too. Just look at the no 2 position of this list with that horrendous antenna😂 . In my list shanghai tower is the real tallest building in the world.

The graphic on the Sears Tower (Willis Tower) is wrong. The height of 1450' is the roof height, not the tip of the antennas. The antennas bring the height to 1729'

It's rather limit of price and efficiency. You can build higher, but remember that you also need to pump water to the top floors, and it simply takes time to get to the top of the building and later back down.

not really, we can build 1200m or even 1500m buildings if we wanted to. But the issue is it costs a LOT of money. I think within the next 15 years we will get a new tallest tower

Cloud lowest is about 2km. Almost in this is about 400 meter.

I'm going to be honest, having seen both the burj and the shanghai tower up close, the shanghai tower looked taller, and I also felt taller in the observation deck

I’ve been in the Lotte tower in South Korea in one of the highest stages in restaurant.. it’s impressive at evening, when everything looks incredible small.

Which one is tallest if you re-arrange this list so only the highest occupied floor counts?

Shanghai will be tallest. Burj khalifa is only 555 without spire

I have been inside Abraj Al-bait tower in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦😍 and i have seen Burj Khalifa from far🇵🇸, and I have seen few other towers in person like Indonesias Autograph tower🇲🇨, Saudi Arabias Public Fund tower🇸🇦, Two IFC tower and ICC tower in Hong kong 🇭🇰

Personally, Taipei 101 and UAE Burj Khalifa are cool. Korea's Eye of Sauron is also impressive.

When I was a kid I loved skyscrapers and there was only a few extremely tall skyscrapers mainly in New York and Chicago now there's hundreds of them
