Growing up I'd see these haul trucks and think about how big they are. Now as an adult I work for a Caterpillar dealer and all I think is "I bet changing the seals in those suspension cylinders are a pain in the ass" haha

All of these mega dumps were once products from Am. companies, except for the Belaz. The Hitachi was from the old Euclid line once owned by different companies (General Motors, White Motor Corp., Daimler-Benz, Clark Equipment Comp. [Michigan] and last Volvo, after Clark partnered with Volvo to form VME [ Volvo Michigan Euclid].Euclid was sold to Hitachi. The Liebherr was the WISEDA before being purchased by them.Komat'su did make big trucks but not in the mega class until they partnered with Dresser to form KDC[ Komat'su- Dresser Co.] The Dresser dumps were the old WABCO Haulpak range of trucks.

The Liebherr mining truck is made in Newport News Virginia. The dump body is overseas as well as the electric drive components. I should know, I'm an engineer at the Newport News facility.

Looking at it,this would make a killer RV/fortress on wheels!

I use to deliver these tires to the mines out west in Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, California, Montana. I would load in South Carolina. I would load between 5 or 6 depending what size. The weight range around 45,000 lb. The cost of the load between 250,000 to 500,000 dollars. All oversize loads permit depends What HWY or INTERSTATE I would take to get at the destination. It was a interesting job every load was different. And on the back haul it would be lumber or copper or whatever they could find to get me back on the east coast. So I could do it again.

5:23 Westech beds are the best for the money. That bed on a 797 will keep you running. Just in case anyone is actually here that uses these trucks and needs to know.

That's my new SUV. The Liebherr looks very elegant. I always have dreamt to own the biggest SUV. Where can i buy it? With it i can safely bring my 2 kids to school. Also i have enough luggage space for holiday journeys and shopping. Very handy. Not to mention the funky 20ft high commander position experience that we all love so much. Finally i needn't have any fear any more to be towed away if i'm parking in a no-prarking-zone. Really i need it!!!

Though I am certainly no expert at this type of machinery's specifications, I have to give credit to Liebherr for the most attractive industrial design.
