I’ve never had the opportunity to get the privilege of getting to operate a Liebherr dozer of any kind because I live in the US and the only machines that size here that I know of are either Cats,Komatsu’s that have Dozer’s that big. D-10/D-11 or Komatsu 475 Super Dozer. The D9 was the only one that I got to run for any length of time and that was about 7 1/2 years and then I got the first D-10 and I fell I love with that Dozer, it had everything right at your finger tips, I had a radio that played music that was bad ass it sounded like the one that I had in my truck. And then it just had unbelievable things that I’d never before seen in any other Dozer that I had operated, that damn thing had more bells and whistles that I didn’t have a fucking clue what they were on how to turn them off. But after about three weeks if you would’ve come up to me and asked me what everything did I could tell you what everything and how it worked the whole nine yards. The people I worked for were the best you have ever worked for and I asked for some time to get used to it and they told me to take off a away I went and after about 16 hours was all it took and I was ready for the frying pan. But that’s what I miss about being a Heavy Equipment for 38 1/2 years, it’s like the bike story, once you learn you’ll never forget how to operate a piece of equipment. And if I could go back to work tomorrow morning I’d be there ready to start another chapter in my life, I’m turning 60 in a few months and I’ve got another 25-30 more years of operating either a Excavator or BullDozer!!! I know that I’ve probably bored y’all to death with my insites about my life but it’s a profession that I truly love.!!!!!

I hauled 13 axle (50 wheel) loads out of Liebherr in Newport News, Virginia. The 776 weighs between 75 and 80 tons. I always loaded the blade to the rear to increase what I could see behind me. For the guy who said this isn't as big as a D-8, this machine is almost twice as heavy as a D-8. The 776 is slightly lighter than a D-10. D-11's are over 100 tons. I like those 9 axle California trailers but they don't permit well in the East.Regardz!

The loading crew including the operator do an excellent job of loading the PR 776 off the convention floor in Las Vegas. There is so much more involved from a concrete floor than on dirt. I had the availability of loading from both years ago and this crew inside is awesome!

Once you've jockeyed one of these SOAB's you realise what a fuc**** meal of it they are making. I pulled out of the business when I was sharing the cab with some white coats with clipboards. I was there just for the ride all the skill associated to it was handed over to the electronics they had installed. I since seen quite a few like that now. I went bac to back actors and love it even after thirty five years

Question: Why didnt they just pull the truck in right behind the dozer and leave the lo-boy trailor behind the dozer, and back it straight onto it? Instead of backing and spining it 180 degrees? Prolly just me.

If I understanding your question right. Then he would have had to back out with a wide load that has even more blind spot than the trailer already has.

Think the trailer only "opens up" from the front, so unless you have enough room for the truck to line up, unhook, and drive out, there's not much other choice (alsi then the dozer has a way to go to cover that distance anyway).

Weight distribution, they know as required at manufacturing the the distribution along the length of the tracks and based on the low boy used it most likely has only a small tolerance of location for it. I have done both trucks and equipment industries and shipping is a huge nightmare as permits for these axle loads are expensive and not forgiving.
