The World's⚡Most Powerful ⚡ Trail EUC - Begode Extreme Unboxing and Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video, I give my honest review of the Begode Extreme electric unicycle that I bought from NextGenMobility.org. I found this EUC to be the most powerful purpose-built trail EUC that exists today, but it wasn't without a few flaws. I didn't pull any punches with my complaints, and heaped on the praise where it was due.

    I just took out my relatively new 16" wheel on a pretty rugged desert fire road with lots of washouts ruts and large rocks. It is most definitely trickier to keep upright than my Master. The same ride on the Master is usually 0 falls. On the Patton, it was 5 or 6. So far, even though the Patton has better suspension, the Master is easier to ride in these conditions because of the larger wheel. I may change my mind after acclimating more, but the small wheel is a little disappointing thus far.

    You're better to not get a 4p 16" wheel if you want to ride mostly street.. this was inherently designed for trails.. for street you're better off with a 20+" wheel and/or 6p or more in order to sustain the higher speeds better.. the ex30 is great at that and does offroad well too as a bonus.. or the master/ master pro

    I'd ask your vendor about batch 2 - but they are upgrading the suspension linkage, linkage pin, and spring shock for sure. Beyond that I'm unsure what other upgrades/changes are on the way.

    Crowning the Begode as the undisputed trail king before the Inmotion Adventure wheels are out seems a bit extreme lol. (No pun intended).

  • @WheelGoodTime

    @WheelGoodTime

    9 ай бұрын

    It's currently the trail king - the V14 isn't out - yet - but maybe it'll steal that crown, you never know. The V14 really needs longer suspension travel and less plastic all over it for it to truly be the best, but it likely still will be a bit more powerful and safer than the extreme. Depends on what's important to you. 😊

    Information about shinko 244 and 241 is incorrect. Shinko 244 (golden boy) is designed with round profile because it's 50/50 tire (on/off road), and you need grip when cornering, and 241 is classic trial tire it need maximum grip when it going straight, that's why it have square profile.

    Yeah that was real weird to discover. My vendor addressed with with Begode as well. On the other hand, I got my Extreme loaded with mud within the first 5 minutes of riding and a big ole pedal clip, so in the end it wasn't a huge deal considering what I did to it so quickly.

    Yeah, but it's surprisingly sturdy. They actually beefed it up when I had that exact complaint and Kebye (owner of Begode) acknowledged that weak point and said they'd make it stronger.

    @@WheelGoodTime that's good to hear, but like IT'S A LIGHT, it'll get scratched up in a crash. I just don't get it. They should've recessed it a little bit. Also, it's confusing referring to the wheel as an 18-inch wheel. It's confusing because as someone who's been riding since early 2019 that refers to eucs that have a 14 inch rim unlike the extreme which is a 12inch rim. Even if the outer diameter was 18 inches on both rim sizes people constantly say that these 12 inch rim eucs have less stability. I dunno I don't understand why people including you don't refer to the eucs by rim size? Most people would have called this a 16 inch which would be inaccurate and I do appreciate you saying it's 18 inches because technically you're right, but yeah lol.

  • @WheelGoodTime

    @WheelGoodTime

    @@Mpower31 I do wish the light was recessed more, but it is what it is. I witnessed a crash on an extreme that resulted in the light cracking. It's a cheap fix fortunately, but you're right. I wish it was a little better protected. As far as wheel size is concerned, you're right. As long as I can remember to do so, I want to exclusively refer to EUC wheel size by its rim size. Maybe others will follow suit, but I doubt it. Lol

    @@GAVINNNNNNNNN Same with every other 16" wheel. Tyres used not to be so big back in the early days, so they were actually 16" back then, so that is what we still call them. Otherwise we would have to classify all wheels differently now.
