Small EUC Smackdown! Patton vs Commander Mini vs Extreme vs S19

Спорт

In this video, I'm going to compare the best small suspension Electric Unicycles. It's a 4 way 18 inch EUC battle for supremacywith the Kingsong S19 vs Veteran Patton vs Begode Extreme vs Extreme Bull Commander mini! Which one is the best in your opinion?
All these scores are 100% arbitrary, and I'm ok with you disagreeing with these scores. But it's my channel so I get to do what I want ;-) Background music was removed from this video by audience request.

    Thanks. Good review of specs and I learned some things I didn't know (Extreme's high torque, waterproof motor), but I would hold off on awarding "the crown" until they have been ridden - especially when considering suspension setups. And if I wanted a wheel now, I might go with the safe bet, the Patton, rather than being a beta tester for Begode's V1 wheels. That said, at 77 pounds and super-high torque, that Extreme is looking interesting.

    as a esk8 guy, and now a euc guy, i learned that testing them out for a little while is the most important.. i can hear all the differences and similarities on paper, and none of it matters until u actually ride the wheel. i remember thinking the Sherman s is gunna be better than the V13 but the ex30 was gonna feel this and that. and the master this and that. and finally got to the Commander Pro and LOVED IT. Regardless of the bad talk, i didnt care. cuz just like with a new eboard, its personal preference.

    Too bad you did'nt do this after riding each wheel, as ride ability ( stability, balance, stance etc) and firmware application has huge input here, I think these specs you are using to judge the wheels are only half the picture.

    Bravo, on this comparison! In the other sized wheels by manufacturers, it’s obvious they are trying to figure it out, but in this size category manufacturers seem to be fully committed and decisive of how to spec them. I am a fan of this size, because of the adaptability advantages. With your interview with Inmotion CEO, I am convinced the Inmotion Adventure with the V13 tech, improved suspension, and swappable batteries will be a monster. I will wait to see if Inmotion makes good on their promises. If Inmotion fails, I will run to the Extreme for the water resistance edge. Thanks

    Great reviews. I’m confused as to why the Extreme didn’t use hydraulic shocks instead of their spring loaded upright struts in hybrid (this is a lost opportunity (imho); sure the Extreme is 5# lighter because of this but the Cadillac ride feel will suffer. Patton and Commander Mini look like fair contenders but I’ll be waiting for the Inmotion Adventurer (batch 3) before making the decision. Batch 1 is out this fall. ❤

    Something not mentioned about the Patton's built in foot pad. While it is adjustable and can be taken off if you want to put some full Clark pads on, the drawback is removing it also removes your front bumper pegs. You could take off just the toe grip with the wing nut, but the mount for it would probably still be in the way.

    One thing I'm intrigued by with the patton is the fact that it has the front and rear bars, potentially allowing for a raised seat to be attached like with the OG shermans. Might need to get fancy if you want a system that lets you use the trolley handle as well, but I think the potential is there for a good seated riding experience. It seems like it's going to be a wildly popular wheel so I bet we'll see some cool aftermarket doodads.

    I have an aftermarket seat on my Patton and I love it. One thing this review does not mention, for whatever reason, is agility. In my mind, the commander mini and Patton offer a superior experience, having ridden both in off road Colorado situations. Really trust my Patton. Also, I would really not trust the scoring on hydraulic suspension here. No idea why this is rated this way. I disagree

    I keep asking everyone I can… but I want to get into this without having to upgrade, so I know that none of these will be the best to learn on, but I want to have a single purchase. My question is… which would be the best option for 300lbs+ rider? I do plan on working on my weight, but for now, the EUC I choose will have to handle that weight.

  • @WheelGoodTime

    @WheelGoodTime

    Жыл бұрын

    Any of these can handle your weight. The trick is: with the hydraulic suspension types, you can select two different suspension weight options (on the Patton) and neither would be particularly suitable for a 300 lbs rider. HOWEVER with a coil or air suspension type, as long as you have the correct size shock, you can replace it with any aftermarket coil shock that you want. The important part of that is to select the correct spring weight - go with something heavier. For example, Begode master pro's come with substandard air shocks. But you can replace that shock with a coil shock that matches you weight (and the wheel's weight). It might be a bit of a guessing game though. I just bought a 1350 lbs coil shock for my master pro, but they potentially get all the way up to 1500 lbs. Many people with masters tend to get 1000 lbs coil shocks (since they are a bit lighter weight).

  • @WheelGoodTime

    @WheelGoodTime

    Жыл бұрын

    @@andyackerman7123 yes, the shock matters quite a bit. I think the Sherman S would probably be a good option. Your first wheel will definitely take a beating no matter which one you choose. For example, I'd suggest getting the 66 lbs option if you got the Sherman S. If you get a spring suspension EUC, then you may want to change the spring shock out on day 1 for something beefier. If you go with a ln air shock, just pump the PSI higher (within safe limits of course).

  • @JDAM-bi1sn

    @JDAM-bi1sn

    Most wheels are rated just around the 300 lbs mark some 330, i highly recommend lososing some first. You might find a wheel you can ride and if you change the shock it helps alot but this doesnt change how much power the motor will draw moving you around on it. Id love you to ride one but for your own saftey consider the advice. You will be upset if something breaks or you fall and get hurt.

    @@WheelGoodTime , S18 is made according to exactly the same scheme - a steel base frame, steel cases for battery assemblies, and only plastic panels on the outside (only for decorative purposes). The S22 (S22 Pro) is arranged in the same way. When dropped or bumped, only the plastic gets damaged, and the rigid frame remains unscathed. Rider weight matters indeed - but the wheel's power is strongly influenced by the weight of the wheel as well. An 80 lbs EUC will accelerate dramatically faster than a 120 lbs EUC, if all other factors/specs were the same. A 140ish lbs racer won a major race (AVS, I think?) on a 100v EXN vs the second place 160ish lbs racer on a 134v master - so they are correlated 🙂

    The two Begode wheels have yet to prove themselves at not being fire bombs yet, we'll see how good or bad they are when there's more than one of them in the wild. I'd say wait a few months for reviews to come in, but both of them will be discontinued and replaced with 7 new models in that time. Better buy two so you have some spare parts lying around. I'm sure they'll be a ton of fun though. Nominal motor power really doesn't mean anything, the S22 went from 3300W to 4000W with no change in performance at all. Sustainable peak output is all that matters and will require testing for all of them. The Patton is mostly fine but it has a preference of destroying itself vs cutting out in over voltage situations, because fuses are hard to figure out I guess. I don't think the trolley handle on the S19 will prevent seated riding at all, it would still be pretty easy to attach a seat onto it while still being able to flip the handle up to trolley around. I can imagine it being the best of the bunch for convenience. Though the built in pads will probably prevent comfortable seated riding anyways. We'll see how removable they are, cant imagine there's anything important in them. The S19 would have been my favorite of the bunch, but the current price is just ridiculous for a wheel that offers nothing new over the last generation of 100v wheels. And that's just the introductory price, it will be increasing after release.

    There should be independent standardised tests to measure how much amps the motor takes. That would be a good way to compare power output.

    A lot of those wheels weren't yet available at publishing time, so I did what I could with the information that I had. Largely it was all still accurate, but the Patton has proven to have tons of torque, despite having a lower voltage rating, so that turned out to be a bit of a surprise.
