The Wolfe Tones - Joe McDonnell (Full Concert Orchestra)

Музыка

Thank you all for your support of our charity single over Christmas, our song Joe McDonnell entered the top 10 and you raised thousands of euro for the Simon Community and at the same time made a statement for continued freedom of expression!
iTunes itunes.apple.com/ie/album/joe...
Google Play Store (Android) play.google.com/store/music/a...
Following the overwhelming response to the recent coverage of the Ballad of Joe McDonnell, and the great support that the song has received across Ireland and the World, we'd like to harness that support for a worthy cause. All profits from the sale of the below single will go to the Simon Community to help in the great work that they do to aid those who are presently homeless in Ireland. We'd love to get this song into the charts, and in doing so, supporting a very worthy cause and also making the point that we are proud to sing the songs of Ireland.
Please purchase the single from the below link from iTunes or from Android Play Store. It is important that it is this version that is purchased and not any other version on iTunes or Play Store, therefore ensuring that the proceeds will go to the charity, as well as targeting the sales to help get the Ballad of Joe McDonnell to Number One in the charts! Your assistance with this is very much appreciated.
Please share with all of your friends, and if you can, please purchase the track between now and Thursday therefore hopefully getting the Ballad of Joe McDonnell into the charts by next weekend!
Slainte,
Brian Warfield.

I first heard this song in Dublin. Every person Irish person stood to attention with their hands over their hearts and tears running down their faces. I have never been so moved by a song. I am South African of Irish decent and am proud of the Irish and Ireland.

I first heard it at the Mayfair in Glasgow, I was too young for the Barrowlands. Although I did manage one in Dublin and another one on the south side of Glasgow which was huge. I remember we could sing WT songs at the games but not any more. Strangely (or perhaps not). I decided to watch the Glasgow City fans during a recent old firm match and was honestly shocked they were singing the BBs. Complete double standards. I remember the late 80s, early 90s before they ckamped down on the Cs, sadly the U's don't seem to be fairing much better even though they have cut out the ss and BS et al.

My mad mate introduced me to this song in about 1984. He was a squaddie serving over in the North of Ireland but used to bring home Rebel cassettes to Paisley. Feckin bizarre when you think about it. One of those songs you hear for the first time and know it's a master piece. God Bless the 10. Thatcher can rot in Hell.

Wee in the North not only love the Wolfe Tones for bringing to life the history of our struggle in the North , but for their undenying love for Ireland . While those in the South turn a blind eye to what we nationlists have to endure from the British and the DUP. We in the North turn to the South for help while the South never turn to the North. We need more people like the Wolfe Tones make people sit up and listen, making We're on the one road a reality and not a dream

It brings a tear to the eye and an overwhelming sense of nostalgia hearing this. I remember as a schoolboy in Larne, 20m north of Belfast, our Canadian history teacher asked us to do a history project on a subject of our choice. I chose Ireland's struggle for Freedom and visited the H-Blocks and attended the funerals of the hunger strikers, including Bobby Sands and Joe McDonnell.

What a great version of "Joe McDonnell", one of those rare songs that gets stronger as the years go by. It certainly hasn't lost any meaning or feeling. The message is as true today as it would have been in 1981. Well done lads, hope you are proud of what ye have achieved over the years. The Tones are as an important part of my heritage to me as anything else. Number one fan and supporter David Hughes, Singer/songwriter from Longford Town, Éire.

Beautifully done ..with a wonderful full concert orchestra...the message remains the same ..freedom of expression by Irish people in England is still severely punished financially by the Media courts , no defence as they will claim that all your defence bundles are lost and will side with the English legal team and will bully you and intimidate you if you contact them for help in an Irish accent...even though you are severely ill....it is the worst human rights violations imaginable for decades and not a word from the English media despite being emailed thousands of times but no response is forthcoming..the phone lines are not available and you are powerless ..Do Not Buy English is a media recommendation and sanction because of this crime against humanity ,cruelty and brutality
