I watched him switch guitars mid song because he wasn't happy with the current one, it was awesome to see him play in person, especially since when I first seen him in person up close I didn't realize at first it was him.

@@redeastwood4850 I want to go to Nashville TN and visit his shop and his recording studio ...a friend gave me a keychain from his store that meg was the one who sold to him , but someone stole it from me ..lol so it gives me a reason to go visit myself and by another one ..it was the three fingers ...3 yes indeed.

My mum took me n r kid outta school n drove us down to Kentish Town, London to go n see The White stripes at The Forum in 2001. Still to this day it’s the finest live performance I’ve ever seen (its all on KZread, some sweetheart recorded it all) , it completely blew my 13 yr old mind. I got a guitar that Xmas n have been in love with bizzarro wonk n roll ever since. God bless Jack n Meg, they really did change my life that night.

That live performance I got recorded off of a file sharing from internet in 2002, then saw them at First Ave in Minnesota that changed my life forever, and that live Forum show is what I listened to every day. And then later saw the video I uploaded. That is a masterpiece

That’s really great! I would’ve been the same way had the white stripes happened when I was your age… As it is, I was lucky enough to attend a performance at the Fillmore in Denver, also a performance at red rocks near Denver. Keep rocking that guitar!🎸👍☮️

He’s a good one, it’s hilarious how many ‘proper guitarists’ can’t look past the simplicity n see the primal grandeur Jacky White exudes as a guitar player. The White Stripes wer easily the most exciting live act on the planet for a good long time.

​@@jacksonvega7751 I don't disagree he's a good player, but I don't think any of his pieces are particularly hard. That's not to say it's a bad thing by any measure. Their songs are absolutely awesome. I'm a novice guitar player and love playing their pieces. But, looking at modern-day prominent hitter artists such as Polyphia as one example, you can easily see the difference in guitar complexity and talent. I mostly take issue with your "proper guitarists" quotation implying that others are not proper guitarists. Anyone who can play the guitar to any decent level would be, in my opinion, a "proper guitarist", regardless of whether I like their music style or not. It should be the talent you respect. FYI, I'm not a massive fan of Polyphia's genre (not exactly sure what it is, math-rock, alt-rock?), but I can respect the insane level of talent it requires to play their music.

I was lucky enough to be there. $1 at the door. Amazing show! It's one of those performances that I still look back on fondly. Such a cool atmosphere being in the Diego Rivera mural room. So glad to discover that this was released.
