    I love all of these pedals, I really wanted a bumble buzz after I saw how powerful Jack sounded during a solo he did with it live at SNL... and then I found out that it cost about $400. I understand now after hearing his explanation of how he wants people to find their own sound, despite that I still actively made a frown face when seeing the price tag

  • @bnf82
    @bnf82 Жыл бұрын

    I use two amps and this is actually an interesting concept; it’d allow me to split the signal and have boost with different volumes for each output. That basically takes 3 pedals to do (splitter and a boost pedal for each amp) and in a small enclosure. Fortunately, they have a buffer choice (cool) and a phase switch (indispensable). If the price is right (haven’t even seen it yet) I’ll buy it!

  • @Dwolfmusic

    Or you could get a Boss LS-2 which pretty much does what you are describing

  • @bnf82

    @bnf82

    Жыл бұрын

    @@Dwolfmusic I never tried one but, if I'm not mistaken, it doesn't do what this does; it can split but I don't remember it having a switchable boost, rather always on levels. It doesn't give the option of removing the buffer and it doesn't have a phase switch. It seems to me it was designed to A/B or combine two different pedalboards/setups/pedal combinations.

  • @davidpunzalan6408

    @davidpunzalan6408

    Жыл бұрын

    @@bnf82 you're thinking more like the EHX Switchblade (no level controls) but DirkWolfofficial is right, the LS-2 does indeed switch between separate channels that you can set to different levels (including above unity gain). LS-2 can do a lot of additional things including mix signals/instruments (I have two on my board for this reason and usually play through 2 amps). Now, LS-2 doesn't have the buffer/true bypass switch (Boss pedals are always buffered) or phase like the Double Down does. Different pedals/tools.

  • @bnf82

    @bnf82

    Жыл бұрын

    @@davidpunzalan6408 so, it’s closer to a mixer, not necessarily a splitter to two amps (which requires, IMO, ground lift and phase flipping options). All that plus the extra features… I mean, I understand it’s not groundbreaking, but assuming a LS-2 (absolutely useful for other concepts) or something like an affordable/simple AB pedal is similar to this or a Radial ABY, Lehle Splitter, GigRig Humdinger, etc, is just not correct. For those that use more than one amp simultaneously, phase, ground and proper buffering is very important and can actually make it a great experience. Just my opinion here, if the LS-2 works in that context for you, rock on :)

  • @cloudshad0ws

    @cloudshad0ws

    @@bnf82 I believe you can use the EHX Tri-Parallel Mixer "backwards" (in a way) where you can output to up to 3 amps. Each with a separate gain knob, simple EQ, and a phase switch. I use it for what is stated on the box, mixing 3 parallel signals into a single amp, but you can use it the other way too. It's kind of an amazing little piece of gear, and at a super fair price.

    Whoa, I've also been loving the black/yellow theme recently (Mostly with Spaceman Effects pedals), so this is killer. Dumb that the one is $73 more for paint and a tin of picks, cuz now I cannot choose. Plus the limited looks like a minion :D

    I wonder, would this be a potential replacement for my Radial ABY? I run a 67 Pro Reverb stacked by a 64 Deluxe Reverb and it’s MF glorious, but the ABY is a critical component to making sure the power flow is correct.

    Anyone who can tell me what kind of Telecaster that is? It's got a Les Paul pick guard, and the bridge also looks transplanted. Otherwise it looks like maybe a Telecaster Deluxe?
