I think that was the first time I saw the writers have real wisdom in the show. She's right the world is broken, it needs mending, and the being who broke it is the only one who can fix it. Sometimes oaths mean nothing because in order to achieve victory one cannot be trapped by an oath or a promise one must be free to choose anything and everything that will help.

Meera Syal is such a powerful actress.

There could be a discussion whether it is actually Verin who protdcts Rand during much longer periods of the story as a mole for the light inside the ranks of the black Ajah. She knows him to be the dragon from the first book, shows him how to use the stones to change dimensions, uses her compulsion on the sisters who captured him to swear fielty to him . She checked out the motivation of Cadsuane in order to make sure she would not harm him. She helped Perrin to become Lord golden eyes and gave the dream Terangrial to Nyneve. She was there almos until the end throughout the whole story while Moiraine was caught up in the tower of Ghenjai.
